Good Morning

Stayed home today fighting this cold. I absolutely can not do nothing so I am working on bills and plan to finish up the stuff I am making for Tiffany so I can get it mailed.

Heidi-Why was your day bad?? What happened? Did I miss something?
Sorry about the headache.

Jaymee got her leave date for the Airforce. She leave Jan 9th. I am sure dreading the month of January. She is going on the cruise with us though so I am glad about that.

Jeanne-Why does Bonnie not post anymore? Tell her hi for me.

Barb, a big warm hug. Sorry you aren't feeling well.

Not sure why Bonnie doesn't post anymore. I am done hounding her!

Hi guys! Barb, sorry you aren't feeling well. I hope you start feeling better.

Heidi, I hope your head lets up soon. I've been fighting a headache for the past 2 weeks.

Well, this week is the start of my busy school life! LOL! This morning was the teacher/staff breakfast that I had to do. I was wise though, I ordered eggs, toast, sausage, bacon and home fries from a local restuarant so I just had to ask some PTA memebers for baked goodies. I was at school by 7:15am and had the place cleaned up by 9:30ish. The left overs, went to the station for the guys. Tonight is open house which I have to be at the school at 5:30pm. THEN FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR MAKENZIE TOMORROW!!!!! Garry has a meeting with his kinder. teacher tomorrow afternoon, and he starts friday. LET THE FUN BEGIN!!!

Denine, sounds like your room is coming along very nicely. We went to the zoo on friday.

We ended up NOT going to the Browns game friday night. Makenzie had a brownie camp out friday and sat. she had a birthday party for one of her friends and then later that evening we went back to her brownie troop leaders house for her 40th birthday party. THen on sunday we had the "Arkangel's family picnic" at my brothers house. (this year it was there, we switch between Brunswick/Medina and Parma every year).

Oh yeah, my dad came home FRIDAY! Boy we weren't expecting that on friday, but he talked the house dr. into releasing him. Which wasn't a super thing since my mom started school monday (teachers were due that day, kids not until wed.). She is really tired and having my dad home isn't helping with that. Her hip is sore since she has being trying to get her classroom ready and take care of dad............. She is having a really hard time right now!!!! We are trying to find a nurse or someone who will be able to come over for 2 hours in the morning to get him up and 2 hours at night to get him to bed. We did get a wheelchair for him and a hospital bed for my mom's house, but he IS a handful!! I think it's almost ALMOST like having a second Brooke! LOL! I try to help out when I can, but I can't be over there with my crew! Did someone mention Calgon??

Well, gotta fly! I'll be back later!

TTFN

Julie, are you sure that your dad doesn't qualify for home care even just temporary? You made me so hungry. That breakfast sounded soooo good. Too bad you couldn't have shipped the leftovers to me instead of the station!! :teeth:

How do all of you dress for Palo brunch? :confused3 Is capri's ok?

Hi guys! I'll be back on later today, BUT.....TODAY IS MAKENZIE'S FIRST DAY OF SECOND GRADE!!!!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

We had open house last night and she met her teacher and I really think she is really excited! She has been nervous about 2nd grade because she had heard that it's really hard and the teachers are mean, but I think last night calmed her down. 2nd grade IS a lot tougher then when I taught it 8 years ago! I can't believe what they do now!

Well, gotta go get my 2nd grader up and ready!!

Have a great day!

TTFN!

Have a great day in school Makenzie!!!!!!

Barb - I hope you feel better.

I have a 4 hour presentation I have to give today to supervisors....fun, fun!!!

Hope your first day of 2nd grade is a good one Makenzie!

Julie: I would check into homecare aide for your dad. I would think he would qualify for medicare, but who knows after the fiasco at the facility. Do you think you are busy enough?

Sandy: I usually wear a casual sundress or skirt and top to brunch. I don't know about anyone else.

Jerry got the back brakes on his car changed. Now he has to do the front brakes on my car. I did get some weeding done while he was working on the car.

Kaleigh is driving us nuts with her wanting to be independent. She knows everything! Or at least she thinks she does. She has a meltdown if she doesn't get her way and Sunday she told Jerry she didn't love him anymore. I knew that one was coming eventually.

The TV in our basement died. We finally got a DVD player and the TV it is attached to dies. UGGHH! This wasn't in the budget, so we are trying to decide what to do. We went to Best Buy last night. We can't spend much. They had a couple for around $100, but I don't know if they are any good. They are Best Buy's house brand. Nothing is made in America anymore :guilty:

Heidi: Good luck on your presentation. Jerry had to give one yesterday to the person that taught the class. He needs to give the same presentation to his manager and managers manager. Then he has to give it again to another group.

That's pretty much it over here.

Denine, I wished you lived here. We have extra tv's here. Ya, Kaleigh is just trying you. Be patient. It won't last long. I usually wear a skirt to Palo brunch as well and always feel over dressed but never really paid attention to what anyone else wears, if that makes sense.

Good Morning,

Back at work but leaving at 1:00. I am coughing and my voice is gone. I hate using my vacation time.

Sandy-Are you selling your TV's? I would like one in my craft room I have a little tiny one there now. Our TV in the living room is shot. The color is all messed up. We are going to have to replace that one too. I want a really big one I have been watching prices for a while. Maybe at the end of the year.

Good luck in 2nd grade Makenzie!!!

Missy and Ethan left yesterday for Iowa. She is staying with a friend for 3 weeks. I sure do miss them. :guilty:

Barb, at this point, we aren't selling any until we decide what we are doing. Some are at the "other" houses. One is here and Heidi might get that one. Man, you must really be sick.

I HATE COMPUTERS!!!!!! This thing is acting up already. Now I can't access my itinerary and also magnets. Jeanne, if you don't get magnets, I am so sorry!

Yahoo, I just got the mail. It made my day so much better. I got my check from LA Weight Loss. It is considered a six month reward for keeping my weight off and not going over 5 pounds weight gain. (little did they know that I gained more than that on the PC cruise). Anway, I am now 105.00 richer!!!!! And, if I can keep it off for another six months I will get another check for the same amount. Yahoo!!

Way to go Sandy! :cheer2:

Barb: The 3 weeks will go by fast.

Sandy: So, how long does this particular "testing" stage last? I have heard about the "frightful fours"! My friend, Judy, who used to be a nanny has admitted that Kaleigh is high maintenance. We knew that!

What a loaded question Denine. Each child is different. It can go by very quickly or hang in there for awhile. I will cross my fingers for you. Maybe even some pixie dust your way will help. Thanks for the congratulations. I was able to get off the PC weight before I went in to weigh in so they never knew about it. Hopefully, I can do it again after this vacation.

A rather hectic day but too much to explain but I did get my hair colored. So the roots are gone

BARB: Bonnie has a beau but even before she became involved with him she didn't post. I really can't explain why. She loves you guys :grouphug: but I guess she is on the computer :surfweb: all day at work and just doesn't feel like going on it again at home. Hope you are feeling better. I always go to work sick. I never want to use my PTO for sickness

SANDY: I DID mail packages to the ship. I only hope they get there. You will think I am crazy. I mailed a bottle of shampoo & conditioner, lots of hangers (since I can leave them), two sweatsuits, some shoes, etc. I am only planning on bringing my big bag with wheels, my duffel (I can throw on top of the big bag) and one carry on. We shall see :rolleyes1

JULIE: Tell Mackenzie princess: congratulations. She is becoming such a big girl.

DENINE: This too shall pass...

The countdown has begun :hourglass I am getting pretty unbearable at work. All I talk about is the cruise and WDW. I did get my docs yesterday. Hope you all have and had a Whimsical Wednesday. Off to work Thursday and Friday. Have a Terrific Thursday. Toodles  JEANNE

I had a very long night last night thatnks to Chris. Last week I made a packing list and included exact outfits I will be packing. Chris laughed at me and he called me a freak. Yesterday I was at my sister's house for the night and I come back home to find out he has EVERYTHING of his packed in the luggage and ready to go....now who is the freak in our household? This is the same guy that doesn't really "get" the Disney magic so I was suprised. We went to bed and he wouldn't stop talking about the vacation..it was getting close to midnight and he still wouldn't stop talking so I had to kick him out of bed to go downstairs and watch TV so I can sleep (he went very willingly, he knew it was a good idea). I woke up this morning and turns out he slept from 1:00am-3:00am...he is just too excited to sleep and we still have another week before we leave!!!! Maybe he is starting to get a little about the power of the disney magic.

My mom's computer is dead again, so she will try and post on the slow computer.

Oh my gosh Heidi I laughed when I ready your post. When I saw the first line I was worried something was wrong reading on I was cracking up :rotfl2:
I SOOOO wish I was going with you guys!!!!
