Good Morning!!

Wow Heidi that does sound fun. I wish I could go! Almost all of my furniture is hand me downs. Raising 4 kids there was always something else to spend money on. Now we are facing weddings and college. Some day!

We leave in 2 days for Oklahoma. Tiffany is so excited she can hardly stand it. Jaymee got the results back from her ASVAB she scored high enough to become an Air Traffic Controler like she wants. Guess she is Air Force bound.

Ethan is back home! I sure did miss him when he was gone.

Went to work out this morning. Think I strained my neck. I feel a headache coming on.

Barb, that is cool about Tiffany and air traffic controller. Years ago, I had a friend that did that. It always sounded like so much fun. We even got to go up to the control tower and see what it was all about.

Heidi, that sounded like so much fun. Glad that you got to see the babies. I know it was bothering you. Sounds like you got some cool stuff! I haven't been since the first year. When and if I get this house back to shape, I would love to go again. (Did you hear that Stacey? hint hint)

We are getting family pictures taken today in Garden of the Gods and I feel really awful. I thought I had allergies and now I think it must be a cold. Don't know where I could have gotten it but I feel achy, tired and kind of sick to my stomach. I have a terrible cough too. I had better straighten up before 5:30

I have to embroidery Tiffany's towels today because they leave really early Thursday. I started yesterday and a thread got caught inside the case and I didn't have the tool to get it out so I had to take it out to Bernina. I bought the tool so I can open the case myself if it happens again.

Sandy: What a scare! I just got an e-mail from e-bay that my auction was cancelled becasue they closed the sellers account. I really wanted that princess switchplate too. Guess I need to find another one.

Barb: Glad Ethan is home in one piece and no worse for the wear. Sounds like you wore yourself out college shopping. Yeah for Missy. AN airt traffic controller.

Heidi: WOW! You got some amazing deals. I need to find deals like that for Kaleigh's school room. I need bookshelves, a love seat and a table with chairs.

Kaleigh saw the magic show last night that she earned the ticket to for reading. She received another earned book, but didn't win a gift card. The next program starts 10-2 and I will get her signed up. Today we go to the toy store for her play foam craft project. She misses her nap, but that is OK once in a while. Tomorrow we are going to the fair. THis weekend is the corn festival.

Tonight's dinner is pasta with burst tomatoes with home grown cherry tomatoes. Yummy!

Jerry mailed my check for my 20th class reunion next month. I feel old. We just need a sitter. Jerry's mom may do it. My parents just aren't up to it.

It is supposed to be 77 today and 80 tomorrow. Everyone around here will be happy. We had a few days in the 90's and someone in the paper yesterday actually called it a heat crises. It is summer! If it isn't 72 and sunny, people around here say it is too hot. Of course, if it goes 2 days without raining, we are in a drought.(sp)

Until tomorrow. Need to go make the little one lunch.

So far I have recieved congratulations from you guys for Tiffany and Missy for the Air Traffic Controler thing. It is actually Jaymee that is going into the Airforce. See what happens when we don't take enough cruises together and don't know the kids!

Saturday was Bob's birthday. We got him a gift certificate for the mall for $125.00 to buy clothes for Hawaii. I knew if we gave him cash it would not go for clothes. Bob went to the mall and truely thought he was going to get an entire wardrobe for $100. He was pretty excited. I kept telling him he would not get to get very much. He was so surprised to only get a few shirts and they were all on clearance! It was pretty funny watching him shop. He did get a swimming suit for $1.97 at Old Navy.

Ok Barb, so I am one of the guilty parties. I said Tiffany. I did really mean Jaymee though. Heck, if you had just a couple of kids, it would be much easier on us!

Sally, I love the thought of a family picture at the Garden of the Gods. What a great place for pictures!! BUT, I am sorry you aren't feeling well. Take care of yourself. Summer colds seem to be the worst!!

Oh and Denine, your pasta dish sounds yummy. The girls and I are pasta lovers. Enjoy your "cold" weather. It is funny how people feel different about cold and hot. I was just talking to a friend who is going to her 20th reunion as well. (girls, it is Shelly)

Been M.I.A. but really I was P.I.A. (Painting In Action). The room is almost done! Derek was shampooing the carpets last night and tomorrow I am putting up the border. If you want to see what the room looks like - go to Walmart.com. Baby Care Bear and look at the first set (out of stock now). The top of the wall is yellow the bottom green with a border and chair rail between.

HEIDI: I KNOW all about "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas"

BARB: Air Traffic Controller Jaymee sounds good. I think that could be one of the best things to do in the Air Force.

SANDY: We may meet up with Faith in WDW? I am SOOO excited. I would love to see her.

DENINE: I always get hungry (again) when I read what you are making.

The union ratified the contract, so no strike. I wasn't sure when I last posted.

GETTING VERY EXCITED . Started going through my clothes (not quite sure what I can squeeze into ). I have my pirates skirt & shirt, two gowns, one tropical outfit but I need to start counting. Do I really own 14+ pairs of nice underwear & bras? What about shoes? I am so confused

Arrrrrrrrgggggghhhhh
It isn't even 4:00 in the morning and I am up, dressed and ready to go. I have no idea what happened. I woke up this morning several times worried I would run late to go work out. I got up at 3:00 (looking at the last 2 numbers only on the clock) instead of 5:00 after I was all done I could not figure out why Bob was not up or why the alarm was not working. When I woke him up he asked me what time it was and it dawned on me that it was only 3:30 and not 5:30. Well now I am super tired. What a way to start my day. I would go back to bed but I shower every morning and my hair is wet. I am also afraid I would oversleep and be late to work out. Guess I will go do some house cleaning. Blah!

Had our family pictures taken yesterday. I am pretty excited to see them. We were up on this hill with "Garden of the Gods" and "Pikes Peak" in the back ground.

BARB: What a way to start your day! I think I would have went back to bed and had hair with ridges in it. Sounds like the photographs will be beautiful.

It is still pretty early except for us East Coasters.

Off to hang border today. Then working four 12 hour days in a row to make-up for having six days off together.

Barb - that is a bad way to start your day today. I know I have done that a few times, but usually I get up early because of something else stupid. One night in Vegas I couldn't sleep because I did not wash my face. Do you think I got up to wash my face......NO, I just kept dosing in and out and worried about not washing my face. Same night I couldn't sleep also because I thought we had to call the airport shuttle 24 hours before you want to be picked up.....think I got up to check the ticket, NO way too lazy to get out of bed, much easier losing sleep I guess. (turned out it was only 5 hours).

Jeanne - Sounds like you are having fun. I hate painting. Glad there was no strike.

It must have been a no sleep night...I went to bed at 10:30. Up at l2:30, 2:30 , 5:30 and haven't gone back to bed. I feel better....the doctor gave me the 3 pk of pills...super strong and I quit aching but still coughing.

I have run into so much trouble with the embroidery....now my hoop is not registering with the machine and I can't get the needle to go in the right place. I wish I had had the towels a week or so before Tiffany leaves so I would have time to work out the bugs.

Jeanne: The room sounds like it is going to be cute! Yeah for no strike!

I lost 1 pound this week. I actually got to move my ticker!

Play Foam is really fun stuff! You could use it to relieve stress. It is like little styrofoam beads all stuck together, but they don't stick to your hands. You can shape it any way you want, just like play dough. The stuff never dries out either.

Received a letter from Kaleigh's birthmom. SHe is doing very well. I am really happy for her. SHe went back to school to become a pharmacy tech which she really wanted to do. SHe and her husband are also expecting a baby boy in a few months.

Sally: Glad you are feeling better. TOo bad about the frustrating sewing machine.

Barb, I've done that before too. Hopefully you can get the sleep you need tonight to make up for the mistake.

Heidi, you remind me of me! I have done that several times especially when I'm on vacation. The other thing I have done is fallen asleep with my contacts in! I will remember that they are in, but don't want to get out of bed, so I stay up in bed!

Jeanne, sounds like everything is coming together for the new arrivial! How exciting!!!

Sandy, do you ever slow down? You seen to be on the go all the time! (Same goes for almost everyone on this thread). You will have to let me know about the door magnet design you found (you mentioned it before but didn't want Jeanne to see it).

Denine, is Kaleigh's mom going to keep this baby or is there a chanc isKaleighis going to have a brother?? I don't want to sound so mean about using the word "keep" but I think you know what I mean. I think Kaleigh needs a sibling. Then you can truely enjoy my daily events! LOL!!!!!

Well, the only thing I have left for our trip is to get the rental car for before and after the cruise. The prices still see a bit high, so I am hoping for a discount. I just purchased the trip insurance (Travelex travel Plus) and now I can focus on the car thing. Denine, if Jerry finds any good deals on car rentals, let me know!!! I figured I would give you the money for the limo when we come see Kaleigh for her birthday (whether you guys have a party or not, we will still come giver her a present). OR IF we can get together before then!

Anna Marie is sweet 16! Thanks for all the birthday wishes. She had a nice birthday. We got her an video IPOD, a case to hold it, and some sudoku (sp) puzzle books. Garry and I went to dinner at the Olive Garden with her and her mother and grandmother. Then Anna Marie went over to my parents house for the kids to say good bye and my dad could see her. She now won't be back until 2 weeks and only for the weekend.

School starts in 14 DAYS!!! I can't believe that the summer is over! The Big Guy starts in 16 days. Part of me is ready for them to go back, the other, NO WAY!!!

OH YEAH... this past sunday (the party in the park weekend that Garry had to work all weekend) they had a 5k run that morning. SO I asked Anna Marie if she wanted to run it it to get some running in before cross country started. She said yes so my mom came over at 7:30am to sit with the other kids who were sleeping and I took her up. Garry was already at work. I registered her, Garry came by to wish her luck and then he had to go and block off the main road that they were going to run down. Well,to make a long story short, she came in 3rd overall for females and we think 19th overallout of the 58 people that ran. She got a trophy and everything! Her time was 22 mins 49 secs. for the 3.1 miles. We have to laugh because I always yell at her when she runs. So she was turning into the park, and I yell "come on Anna Marie", well, it was really quiet and it echoed really LOUD and the guys at the finish line laughed pretty good and told Garry (who was there at the finish) she get's a little excited, doesn't she!" Or something to that matter. the girl behind her TRIED to catch her in a foot race at the end BUT ANNNA MARIE pulled it out! We are hoping that there is a good write up in the paper about it. If there is, I will try to post it.

Well gonna go!

I was so tired yesterday I could hardly function. I went looking for bunk beds but they are all too expensive and then I fell asleep on the couch at 7:30. Woke up to watch So You Think You Can Dance and then went straight to bed. I feel human again!!
