Sally - I watch that show, I love it!!!! It was nice when Chris was going to school because I got to watch that show all curled up on the couch, now I have to fight him for the remote so he won't change it...he doesn't like that show!!!

The lightening was crazy, I am glad it rained though!!!!

Good Morning!

Getting ready for our 1st annual Family Camping Trip tomorrow. It should be fun. I am looking forward to it. All 4 kids are going and this will be Ethan's first.

The flower girl in the wedding pictures is Avalon, Michelles neice. She is really a cutie. She had long hair but at Christmas time last year she hid behind a chair and cut her hair off. Michelle was laughing/crying because they had to cut her hair all off. It did grow back pretty good for the wedding though. :rotfl: The baby Jason is holding is Ethan. He did so good in the wedding. Made it all the way down the isle once he got to the gazebo he wanted to pick up all the flower petals on the ground. You can't really see the table arrangements or the decorations very good but you can see a lot of the flowers we did. What a lot of work that wedding was but it turned out pretty good!

We wanted to go out to eat to celebrate Jerry's promotion and raise, but we can't afford the calories this week. So, we will hopefully go out next week.

Finished up the edging last night. We got some rain, but not much.

Sandy: I hate when it lightenings (sp) like that.

Nothing much going on. I work the next 2 days.

I want to get Kaleigh's school room painted one of these weekends. I need to order curtains too.

Barb: Enjoy your camping trip.

My works want me to attend a conference in Houston from Sept 18-22nd. Problem is I took the day off on Sept 18 to recover and do laundry from the cruise but they still want me to fly there and attend from Sept 19th-22nd!!!! Looks like I will be away from my desk starting September 1st-22nd....my coworkers are going to love me!!!

We are voting on a new contract next Thursday. I don't know any of the details in the contract but you can bet I will vote to ratify (I can't afford to strike!).

SANDY: 80% off at your Kohl's? I'm jealous. Telling all my secrets about obtaining M & M's :lmao:

DENINE: Tell Jerry Congratulations :cheer2: . I know how things work, he must have REALLY earned it!

Really tired tonight and off to work again tomorrow. Surprise baby shower on Saturday and I still have plenty to do for the shower.

Hope you all have a Fantabulous Friday and a Wickedly Wonderful Weekend. Toodles  JEANNE

Having a rough day. Haven't slept since 8:00pm last night. I had a migraine, took my medicine and slept away the migraine from 4:30-6:00, then went to get my haircut and fell asleep from 7:30-8:00....couldn't sleep after 8:00 and of course I got up at 4:30am yesterday morning. I am exhausted and I am taking off from work at noon and taking a nap because I have to help my best friend move tonight and tomorrow and help her unpack on Sunday. She is not feeling very well either and I am sure its because of stress and nerves.....great we will be a perfect pair tonight!!!

Oh my, hugs Heidi. Sorry! No wonder I was feeling guilty about having a perfect Thursday at the campground. I must have sensed something. Hang in there. That advice is for you AND Taura.

Denine, I just realized that I forgot to congratulate Jerry as well. WOOHOO. IT IS ABOUT TIME! It just wasn't fair that he kept getting "forgotten"!!

Sorry Sally, but I have to yell at you. I am now going to the doctor today for my "mole" or whatever. It has "festered". It's right by my mouth and looks like a big pimple. I thought I better get in sooner than later in case he takes it off. I would hate to look freakish on the cruise. Gosh, what a good friend I am to have sympathy moles. lol

You are a good friend but I think that is carrrying things too far.....didn't have to do that to show me. I don't think he can freeze it off your face by your mouth but you never know.

I got everything done and now waiting for Patti....she wants to go get a Bernina sewing machine and then go to a crop at Archivers tonight. Tomorrow a Disney class all day...then who knows.

Have a great weekend everyone......I know Barb will on her camping trip....

Ok Sally, I still love you. I am back and all it was is that it got infected. He just drained it. I told him I was hoping he would cut it off but he said he couldn't because it was infected. DARN! Bernina's are great sewing machines!! Give Patty a hug from me.

JEANNE, GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR VOTING. Here's to NO STRIKE!! :thumbsup2

Barb is going camping again. She was so worried about it last year. She must have liked it.

Hi everyone! I just got my MNNSHP tickets in the mail today! So the only thing left to do is to get a rental car, BUT I;m waiting to see if there are any deals coming up for Oct. We will rent from the airport and return the car at the Dolphin the Sat of the cruise. Denine and Jerry and the rest of us will be taking a LIMO to the terminal from there!! We decided to that route to really feel like snobs! LOL! Then after the cruise we will take the limo back to the dolphin and re-rent the cars for the remainder of the stay. Not bad!

Sally, I watch So You Think You Can Dance all the time. I really like Benji! His cousin is really good too. I was surprised to see who went home this week. I didn't think that she need to go this week. I figured it would be between her and Benji at the end, BUT I guess I was wrong. They are all sooooooooooooooo good!!!!

Jeanne, here's to no strike!!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed!!

Heidi, when things slow down, just let me know. I've got some other pictures that I would like to try, just don't know how! Boy am I dumb when it comes to things like that!

Well, gotta go!

TTFN

Jerry says thanks for the congrats!

We got our AP's in the mail today. NOw we just need those MNSSHP tickets.

Heidi: Get those frequent flyer miles! Sorry about the migraine.

Sandy: Man, you are a good friend to get sympathy mole problems. Glad it was OK.

Jeanne: No Strike!

I got woken up this morning at 2:30 because of storms. I was so happy that it was still early. Little did I know it was going to storm for the next 2 hours, only stopping 10 minutes before the alarm went off. At least we didn't get rains of Biblical proportions. Lake County, where my good friend Judy and also Anna Marie live, got up to 10" of rain in parts. I hope everyone is OK.

I was supposed to have a doctors appointment for my back today. When I got there, I was told he was on vacation and they called everyone. Well obviously they didn't call everyone. I was po'd. Luckily, it only takes about 10 minutes to get there. Who doesn't know they are going to take a vacation in 2 months, especially in the summer? I knew I didn't care for the office staff for a reason. Now, they are squeezing me in next Friday. UGGHHH!!!!

Work went OK this morning. Hope it goes well tomorrow too.

Sally: I think we just got an Archiver's in the area.

Sandy, glad everything is ok with you. You should see how Barb camps....if she could take the kitchen sink she would....I had to laugh last year when I looked in her tent....stand, lamp, the works.

Denine, if you like to scrapbook you should check Archivers out.....we went last night and Patti and I spent most of the time shopping...... :cool1: We are going to breakfast with the guys and then off for a whole day of
Disney scrapbooking....I am almost done so I will help Patti as 20 pages are a lot to get done in one day.

Patti got here around 4 so we went to Bernina and she bought the top of the line....wow, a house downpayment :lmao: We are going out Monday when they open and she will learn how to operate all the fancy things. This machine does everything but talk, no I take that back, I think it may even do that. She is going to love it.....Patti is an excellent seamstress.....I am fairly good but she is over the top.

She also bought a lot of new things to scrapbook with so tomorrow we may spend the day making samples of the different things.

Julie, I was surprised too. The one that I thought would go is still there but she has to go this week I would think. Benji is my favorite too and also Heidi. Those kids all learned so much in the weeks they were there....it is better than taking regular lessons...they pushed them beyond what you would think they could learn in such a short time. Any of them could go into shows and do great.

Sally: I don't have time to scrapbook, but I love all the cute stickers to put by my pictures in the photo albums. WHen I do get some extra time, I am going back to my counted cross stitch. That is my first love. I can't sew to save my life. You should have seen my creations back in home ec! :rotfl2: Hope Patti likes her new sewing machine.

Work was good this morning.

Tomorrow we put up valances in the morning room. I got them at Penney's for half price. They are Waverly and have grapes on them. Perfect.

No other plans this weekend. It is nice to have no plans once in a while.

My friend Judy's house is OK. THey had over 6" where they live. Luckily, they just had a new roof put on Monday and fixed their leaks. You should have seen the picture in the paper this morning...man!

I may or may not be on tomorrow.

Let's see. It is noon and we haven't started on the valances yet. Jerry has another migraine.

While I was trying to sweep the kitchen floor, Kaleigh was making a mess in the living room with pretzels. UGGHHH!!! I had to vaccum that up. I came in here to get away from her right now.

Anyone know a good babysitter? We could use a night out. I don 't think I can wait for the cruise.

Went to Church but could not go to the food store. It is just too hot :sunny:

My daughter-in-law's baby shower was very nice. Her Aunt Tina gave it. When she was a baby her Mom & Dad divorced and her Dad got custody and he lived with his sister Tina so Tina feels like she was Diana's first Mom. She got so many nice things - stroller, carseat, high chair, bouncy seat and the cutest clothes (I'm so glad it's a girl! princess:).

Off to work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and then I have six days off. Thursday is the ratify or strike vote. The rest of those days I am going over Derek and Diana's to paint and try to get the baby's room ready (the crib still isn't up :confused3). All the shower presents are in my upstairs bedroom until I can get the room painted!

What's with all these migraines :furious: ? I felt myself getting one yesterday too and last night I took some sinus medicine that knocked me out. It must have something to do with this hot, humid :sunny: :sunny: weather.

Hope you all have a Sunsational Sunday. Miss you all :grouphug: Toodles  JEANNE

Happy Monday!

Back at work today. Had a great weekend camping. It was SOOOO much work though. Bob and Jason set up 5 tents and I set up all the cooking stuff did all the cooking and packed up most of the stuff. Glad camping is only once a year. We bought our own tent it has a doggie room. My dogs see no need for a room of their own since they sleep on top of me all night.

Denine-Congratulations to Jerry on the promotion!!

Jeanne-Hope everything worked out with the contract so no strike!

Sandy-Hope the mole is better OUCH!

Heidi-Hugs to you and your friend. :grouphug:

Julie-MNSHP Hooo Whooooo! :cool1: Wish I were going!!!

Only about 10 more days until we take Tiffany to Oklahoma. :guilty: shortly after that Jaymee will be leaving. Man I hate the way life has to work out.

Made it to Curves today. Good Job Barb!! Didn't think I would because of the exhasting weekend. Gettin in shape for Hawaii!!

Barb - sounds like you had a good time camping. I like to tent camp, my sister, BIL and I use to camp once a year. We would bring all the luxuries like blow-up mattress, my BIL made a toilet for my sister and I, the ATV's, radio, etc!! We love to cook over the fire so we are roughing it there (we do have my dad's old Coleman stove to cook eggs on for breakfast!!!)

Jeanne - sounds like the baby shower went great!!!! Good for her and getting all that great stuff.

Julie - Making signs are fun if you have the time to play around!!! I will let you know when I get some time!!

Denine - Sorry Jerry had a migraine, I hope you still managed to have a good weekend.

I left work early on Friday to take a nap. I slept for 4 hours and then got up to help my friend load up the Uhaul until after midnight. Went to sleep around 2am and then woke up at 8:00 to be up at my friend's new place. We moved everything in and unpacked until 10:00pm. Sunday I cleaned all day and lemon oiled all the wood in my house, along with cleaning bathrooms, kitchen, vacuuming and laundry. After all this hard work this weekend, I am SOOOOO looking forward to laying out at the pool all day on Friday and Saturday even if it is 120 degrees outside in Vegas!!!!! Oh well, being in a pool in over 100 degrees is better than moving in a 100 degrees like we did this weekend. It was HOT HOT HOT!!!

Have a great day.

Jeanne: When you think of all the work that needs to be done before the grandbaby is born at the end of September, remember how much time we had to prepare for Kaleigh...1 week! We bought everything, washed everything, set everything up and then went on a 2 week cruise with all of you! Hope your 3 days of work are good and that come THursday there is no strike!

Barb: Glad you had fun camping. Sounds like too much work to me. My idea of camping is in a cabin with all the comforts of home. :rotfl2:

Heidi: Sounds like you weekend was exhausting. Moving is such hard work, especially under your friends circumstances.

We did finally get the valences up in the morning room. They look so nice. I can't wait till the blinds/sheers come for the patio door and we can finish the room.

Lately, we only have 1 day a week where no one goes to work, and Jerry gets a migraine. I think part of it is psychosomatic. He does too, he just doesn't know how to stop it from happening.

Supposed to be in the 90's this week. We have kept the AC on because it keeps storming on and off. ALready had rain this morning.

Tonight is dinner, grocery shopping and the library. Kaleigh earns another book today and a ticket to the zoo. She needs 45 more minutes of reading for another book and a ticket to the magic show. I don't think we will get in the next row of 4 hours for a chance to win a $50 gift card from Toys R Us, but you never know. She is asking to be read to now!
