Barb: Glad you are trying to do better. I hope it gets easier for you.

We had a nice day yesterday. We took Kaleigh to the playground and ended up staying for around 2 hours. We met a nice man and his 3yo grandaughter. The girls hit it off. We exchanged phone numbers. He gave us his and his daughters number so we might get together again.

After, we cam home and took naps and then did yard work.

Today is housework, grocery shopping and the library for a program on birds. I have read enough to Kaleigh that she will get another book tonight. We are working on that next book.

Denine, that sounds great. A play date for Kaleigh. How adorable. I haven't been to that restaurant but my adventurous kids have.

Barb, still more hugs headed your way. I am glad that you know exactly how I feel. It's hard!

Sally, Disney class sounds like just what the Doctor ordered!!

Heidi, pixie dust and more pixie dust your way. I just can't imagine that they would make you miss that vacation!!

Spent all day looking for non denim shorts for WDW. They say that if you get wet, which I will to avoid heat, that denim can cause chafing. Can't find a single pair. Went to Sears, Penneys, Macy's, Walmart and Dillards. I also bought a few products to try on my hair for the trip. Frizzies and curl stuff. A salon manager at our Ulta told me to try Kenra products. She said that she just got here from FL and that is what they like in FL. We will see.......

BARB: I have three children - one son (25) still lives with me along with my cousin's son (23). My other son and daughter-in-law live about ten minutes away. The hardest is my only daughter living 3000 miles away

SANDY: Short shopping huh? I bought two pair of shorts at Fashion Bug recently. Do you have them in Colorado?

Work has been just awful. Busy, busy, busy. I don't mind being busy but I just feel I am not giving the kind of care I would like to give. Tomorrow there will be an "Informational Picket Line" in front of the hospital for the Union. The hospital still isn't negotiating and we have been without a contract since June. Keep praying NO STRIKE.

Turned off the air today but it is supposed to start heating up again.

NO STRIKE, NO STRIKE, NO STRIKE! Yes, Jeanne, short shopping. We have Fashion Bugs but I only know where one is and that is by the other house. Maybe I will go there next time we go to the house. You gave me an idea of Dress Barn. I will run there tomorrow and also Kohls. Hot and humid here. It always clouds up but never rains. We need it again pretty bad.

Good Morning

I am doing better today. Jaymee is going to Denver tomorrow to test.

I sent everyone the link to Jason & Michelle's wedding pictures. They turned out so nice but not many color pictures. Wonder why.

Tiffany is SOOOO excited about going to ORU next month. She calls me every day at work and talk talk talk about it. We are taking her to Oklahoma August 10th. Got her lap top ordered this weekend. Good thing my Dad is such a computer person. There are a lot of options I would not know how to choose.

Heidi: As long as you give the courts your vacation info and that you are willing to reschedule, they shouldn't have a problem.

Barb: Glad you are doing better. No time to look at the photos right now.

Just got back from target. Found some neat stuff in the back to school section. Also got a large tote to use as a litter box, vets suggestion, so that no accidents go over the side of the box. I hope the kitties use it.

Suppsed to be nice and warm again today, 88. May get a storm later.

Kaleigh enjoyed her library program. I can't believe next week is the last one already. We need to read for 2 more hours and she gets another book and a ticket to the zoo. It will be close if she earns a ticket to a magic show.

Jeanne: I understand about being so busy and not being able to give the care you want. It is very frustrating. At least it isn't like that all the time. I hope you don't strike!

Sandy: I can't believe you couldn't find non-denim shorts. But then again, I couldn't find a sundress that didn't cost $150 or was in my size or wasn't ugly.

Denine, the major problem is that in the middle of this heat wave that the whole country is having they are stocking the stores with winter clothes. I have never quite figured that one out.

Just got home from the doctor......he froze l6 moles....I couldn't count all the ones on my back. I had a really bad one on my stomach that he had to freeze twice....it sure hurt but he said it would quit stinging in an hour...it has been over two hours and I have a couple that still hurt. I guess it is better than having them cut out

It looks like it is going to storm....really dark out. They are paving the street in front of the house so hope it holds off for awhile.

Barb didn't say anything about her appreciation lunch....it went very well.....

Dick has to have eye surgery in a couple weeks...his eyes have gotten really bad in the last month. They are going to remove cataracts and tell him he will see colors like he hasn't seen in awhile

Sally, I hear that cataract surgery results are so wonderful. Everyone I know that has had it came back with perfect vision. I bet Dick will love it. I have never had moles froze before. That must be new. I have so many moles. I would love it. They always cut them out for me. Scars everywhere. I do know that when they froze what might have been a wart it hurt for a long time. I hated it, hated it. I feel so badfor you!!!!!

BARB: I loved the photos of Michelle & Jason. They were so beautiful. I loved how they went from black & white to colored photos. The two of them look so young! She made a beautiful bride .

SANDY: 70% off the clearance racks at Kohl's$$$$$$$$$$$$ They didn't have many shorts on the clearance racks but they are all on sale. I did find a really cute pale yellow capris with shimmery trim on the legs and then found the top that matched. I think the capris were $25.00 less 70% and the top was $20.00 less 70%. I also found one of those little sweaters in yellow that was on the final clearance and ended up costing $2.50. I had FUN at Kohl's today!

DENINE: I miss my Kaleigh. Tell her that Aunt Jeanne says "yes, yes, yes".

Went to the "Informational Picket" today from 2:00-4:00 PM. It was really hot about 200 people showed up but no one from my unit except me and there must be 30 nurses just on the Post Partum Unit (Joyce was working or she would have been there). One nurse from Nursery which also employees 30+. It is very sad . They all want to know what happened and what is going on but no one wants to participate.

Getting very excited over the cruise I guess I better START my diet soon

Barb - those wedding pictures that you shared with us were beautiful. For some reason I really really like black and whit pictures, to me they are so elegant. What a beautiful couple they make.

I went shopping for Las Vegas last night. Bought a cute outfit to go clubbing with. We should have a lot of fun. In Vegas, the clubs cost about $30 for cover and then drinks start at $6.00. I just discovered on ebay that I can purchase 4 VIP tickets to the clubs that we want to go to for $3.99 or lower, so for a total of 6 clubs (4 VIP tickets each) it will cost us $20.00 and that includes no cover, no line. Way better than $30.00 per club.

Denine, watch the channel 5 news at noon and at 5pm if you can. Garry was interviewed by them this morning. Last night a person found a dead body on his front lawn. They believe that this person had a heart attack but they won't know for sure until they investigate it more.

I have great news. Jerry found out this morning that he got a promotion and a 9% raise! Whooppeeee!!!!!!!! This promotion has been a long time coming. He keeps getting new managers and his promotion falls through the cracks. He is going to be getting a new manager again, but at least this one made sure it didn't get lost.

Poor thing also has to go to an Indian's game today. It is their treat for going to this class. It is at noon.

Hera's antidepressant medicince came yesterday. I chased her around the house this morning just to put it on here ear. Man, I hope this works.

Jeanne: That is frustrating that everyone wants to know what is going on but won't participate.

Heidi: Sounds like you found a good deal on e-bay.

Sandy: Yeah, the stores do the same thing here. Crazy.

Worked on edging the yard last night. We will finish tonight.

No weight loss again this week.

Sally: Ouch! Hope you are feeling better. Both my mom and Jerry's mom have had cataracts removed. It did improve their vision.

Jerry ordered our MNSSHP party tickets yesterday.

Jeanne, I went to Kohl's today and they had the 80% off sale. They had capri's but I didn't want any of those. The heat kills me and capri's cover that much more. I love capri's but don't buy them.

Oh and by the way Heidi, do you think Chris will wear a lime green polo shirt for embarking? I found 2 for dad and Chris at Kohl's for 4.00 each. I have them here at the house.

Mom - you will love the capri's I bought for the club in vegas. It is black with a white pin strip. They come down just below my knee and a cute pink top to go with the pants!!

Sandy did you watch So you think you can dance? It is getting down to where you don't want anyone to go...but I bet it is the two black people that go...then Natlie and Ivan...and they are all so good.

At least they get to go on a ten week tour with the show...

It poured here about 4 and only for about half an hour but it rained harder than I can remember it raining for years.

Sally, we got the rain too. It was great BUT the lightening that came with it was horrible. I was scared so I closed my curtains, turned off the tv and the computer. It rained so hard that the satellite tv lost its signal. No, I don't watch that show but I believe Heidi does.
