Heidi, you got hail? We didn't even get rain.....I hate hail. One year it ruined my flower beds twice.....

It is rather cold this morning....37 degrees right now. I think I will go to Curves and then come home and clean house since it is too cold to work outside.

I did get one of the flowers beds finished....put the last brick around it yesterday and planted the last of the flowers. Got more bricks for across the front of the house....I really like them...they are wider than the normal brick and old looking. I must have hauled over 200 of them so far. While I was at Home Depot yesterday some man dropped a cement block on this foot. He only had sandals on....he was yelling and hopping around...oh, how that must have hurt. Bet he broke something. I dropped a can on my toe once and it hurt like crazy....

Sounds like Jeanne had a great time in Vegas and has more fun headed her way. Way to go!

Heidi: Sounds like you had a great weekend too! I'll have to remember that great cleaning stuff you found.

Sally: You sure have been busy in the yard. I bet it is looking really pretty.

Thanks for the early birthday wishes!

Cloudy today and supposed to only be 51 tomorrow. Of course, it is the coldest dy of the week and it is my birthday. At least it won't snow like last year.

We had a fairly busy weekend. We went to the outlet mall and got Kaleigh some jammies since she has outgrown a lot of her spring ones. There is a new childrens store that opened and they were haveing an amazing sale. The already reduced prices were 50% off again. I bought some stuff for Kaleigh for next year. ALso found a couple of cookbooks at the bookstore and workbooks for Kaleigh for the Fall. Then yesterday we spent cleaning. How does this house get dirty so fast? I also put together the Princess organizer in the basement and folded up the playpen. It does look some neater down there.

Barb: We need to see prom pictures! Can't believe Ethan is almost 1!

This cold is still hanging on, but I can manage as long as it doens't turn into anything else!

Sooo looking forward to WDW in 1-1/2 weeks! Jerry said it has been in the 80's and 90's down there. I can't wait to feel the warmth!

Hi guys!

Heidi, we ended up not going to the horse show yesterday. It was sooooo muddy that Brooke would have been a different color by the time we would have left. LOL! Your weekend mademe tired just reading it! Glad you had a super weekend.

Jeanne, sounds like a great time you had in Vegas! Someday I will get back there! Another hint to find the thread..... when you log in, at the top of the dis page you see a bar with User CP, FAQ, Member List... etc., if you click on User CP you will see the threads you are "subscribed" to and then you can click on the Oct. 19th thread. I hope that makes sense. That's how I usually find the thread,

Denine, what's it gonna take to get you guys to go down for a few days in June. we are going down June 7th and coming back on the 22nd. Just a weekend? Think about IT!!!!!! I'll get my kids "on you guys". I KNOW they can break Jerry down and Kaleigh will help too! LOL!!!

Sally, can you please come design my home? You are soooooo talented when it comes to flowers and yard design. I would love to see pictures of you house with everything you have done.

Well, gotta go. I'll be back

TTFN

Oh yeah, before I forget, here is that awesome new summer drink that I told you guys about:

Lemon Sorbet ( I was told Hoggen Dais (sp) carrys this) 1 sm/med container
Lemon Citronelle (about 1/2 the bottle or one of those plastic large cup full)
Citrus Vodka (same amount as the Citronelle)

Blend the above in a blender until smooth
Pour into glasses, top each glass with champange or sparkling wine

I forgot the name of the drink SOOOO,I think we should all name it!

I was told by the person who gave me the recipe that she and her husband and this other couple had them andwoke up the next morning still feeling "tipsy". It's yummy, but don't let the flavor fool you! Just like the bushwackers!

That drink sounds so yummy. I will have to try it and suggest a name.

Wow that sounds like strong one! This would be me with that drink. :drinking1 :crazy2: :faint:

Humm may have to try it :rotfl2:

Yikes, you guys sure chatted up a storm and I didn't take notes to respond. Hopefully this 50 year old brain will remember everything.

Julie, your post about Build a bear made me crack up. Those names were so cute! And then about Brooke being a different color if you would have gone to the horse show. :rotfl2: :lmao: The drink sounds wonderful. Heidi, we have to try that one! How about another tipsy day at the campground?

Sally, glad that you didn't get the hail. Your garden would have been destroyed!

Barb, Ethan turning one. That is amazing. I was shopping today for our babies 1st birthday in June and it made me sad just thinking about it.

Jeanne, do you ever stay home? :confused3 Hope you guys have a fun time. Knowing the two of you and how you are together, how could I ever doubt you wouldn't have fun? :rotfl: I look forward to your phone call.

This weekend we ended up having a last minute Estate sale. A neighbor a couple of blocks away from Louise was having one so we took advantage of her signs on the main streets and posted below hers for the real street. We did pretty good. Of course, we still have tons to sell and plan to have the advertised sale on May 12th. This just helped us "thin out" stuff.

And Denine, I saved the best for last: :cheer2: HAPPY BIRTHDAY ! party: :love2: :bday: :cake: I never forget your birthday. You share it with my brother. I can't believe that you will be in WDW soon. Are you going to try the new Expedition Everest? (or whatever the name is)

If I forgot anything.....sorry!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DENINE!!!! party: :cake: :bday: :rainbow:

Did anyone watch Apprentice last night? I was so happy with the person that got fired. That person drove me crazy.

Woke up this morning to snow!!! The grass and trees are all covered with the white stuff.

I'm with you Heidi...she should have gone before this.....we got a very light dusting of snow but it is really cold....27 degrees right now.

I hope my flowers are ok....not enough snow to protect them against the cold

Guess I stay in and clean again today.....

Thanks for all the birthday wishes!!!

Julie: You told me the name of the drink, but I don't remember either. I guess I must be getting old! :teeth: If we could afford it, we would be in WDW in June in a heartbeat, just ask Jerry! We decided not to go to my cousins wedding in VA because it wasn't in the budget.

Heidi: You can keep the snow! It is cold, in the 40's, but no snow in the forecast. It is supposed to get warmer.

Sandy: At least you got some things thinned out. I won't even have a garage sale, too much work!

Sally: I would also love to see pictures of your yard! Maybe I could get some ideas.

Going to dinner for my birthday at the Lonestar Steakhouse. Kaleigh keeps asking about cake and ice cream because that is what you are supposed to have on your birthday.

Got a save the date card for my 20th high school class reunion. Can't believe it has been that long! I will go. Curious to see what some of the people look like after 20 years! It is in September.

Expedition Everest will have to wait until october when we are with Julie and the gang. It won't be as fun doing it with the baby swap. So, Julie, when in October are you going? We are going for the week after the cruise.

I am happy she is gone as well. She is NOT a team player. No driving the truck today. Too much snow on it. Better run to Target before I get Graci! Hugs.

What are gas prices in Ohio Denine? It is up to $2.89 some stations here. I heard they expect it to hit $5 a gallon this summer.....we won't be driving much....

Gas is going to kill us this summer! We are finally able to camp every weekend again and then the gas go sky high. I doubt that it will stop us however. We need that down time! Sally, on average around our house is 2.79. I just heard on the news last week that the top Exxon exec makes 100.00 something a MINUTE. Yep, you read that right....100.00 a minute and that is every minute of the DAY and night including sleeping time. Now tell me, is ANYONE worth that much? And they say there is no price gouging going on. Yea, right.

Hi all!

Denine, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Budget, smugget..... you use your points for the room, you have your passes, all you have to do is get down there and some food money. YOu can use the the magical beginnings to get from the airport to resort and back. You don't need a car for a small stay...... You said you aren't using all your $500 for the house this year...... Think it's POSSIBLE!!! ( oh, I'm bad aren't I.... LOL)

Sally, gas in Ohio is around 2.79 a gallon. Here, if you use the grocery store, Giant Eagle (formally Rini's) and you use their "coupon card" you get 10 cents off a gallon of gas for every $50 you spend in the store. You can save your savings until 3 months and then you need to use the cent's off or you lose it. I just got 17.5 gallons of gas for $10. I try to save my cents off until I get over 2 dollars then I use my discount. It does help a bit. Luckily, we live within walking distance to our local Giant Eagle so if gas does get past $3, I will walk whenever I need to go to the store and when I get enough saved, THEN drive to get gas. Garry (since being promoted) gets his own cruiser to drive everywhere (I guess you can call it a company car) and he gets his gas from the city so at least we only have to paid to fill one car up, which is nice.

Well, gonna go. I'll be back later! Hey, how many posts is this in how many days for me........ WOW! I'm getting back into the swing of things. By the way, everyone DID get thier Christmas presents opened right? I know Barb got a Valentine's gift instead since Susan had her for Christmas and no one can get a hold of her. Let's see, Heidi got a pillow, Denine- you got??, Sandy you got???, Barb yours was a sweater right? Bonnie got princess ornaments and a mickey and minnie salt and pepper set (I know this because I had her). Did I forget anyone? What did Patty get again?

Ok, TTFN I'll be back!~

Busy board today!

Let me tell you about how my day went. The alarm went off the usual 4:45. I always get up and look out the front window to check on the weather etc... well Jaymee's Mustang door was OPEN. I rushed into her room and she jumped out of bed. Her car had been broken into. She had left her purse in it. Of course it was gone. Someone smashed in her window in. She was so upset. She loves her car. She was crying I was just frustrated because I have told her not to leave her purse in the car. Not only did it have her bank card but MY gas card and her social security card. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I have warned the kids about carrying their SS card's. She is far to trusting and I tend not to trust anyone. Well both of us called into work so we could go to the bank, call the insurance, call the glass place etc......

She has broken down a couple of times crying. I know how violated she feels right now. I feel bad for her. It could have been much much worse but that is hard to see when something like this first happens.

Another 8 hours of my vacation time gone. Since I am having to handle so many things without Bob it is sure eating up my vacation time.

Barb - What a stressful day for you and Jaymee. I remember how my sister was when her car was broken into. They stole her CD's and an alarm thing for the bank that she use to work at. The alarm think looked like a garage door opener. Her rabbit heard the people and started to "thump" and it woke Stacey up but she didn't hear anything. Then in the am is when we found out. She felt so violated. That is horrible that they have her SS card and all of her stuff from her purse. Keep us updated, I hope nothing happens to her like identity theft. Hang in there. :grouphug:

Yesterday afternoon I had a bad day at work so Chris finally drug me out of the house and took me to dinner, so I missed most of American Idol. I did get to see Taylor and Chris. How did the others do?

Good Morning,

Back at work after a stressful day. Think we got everything taken care of but Jaymee' emotions.

Heidi-Did the people use any of the information they had on Stacey? Was just taking her purse the end of it?

Kind of interesting to see how my kids reacted to what happened. They all were lugging junk from their cards into the house last night. Tiffany was checking the doors to make sure everything was locked. Tiffany also slept with her window open so she would hear anything going on outside. Guess it is good that they are being more aware. Both Tiffany and Jason both said it was a good thing they didn't know who hurt Jaymee because they would want to get even.

Barb: How awful! Hope everything is taken care of and the kids are more aware of their stuff now. I know how violate we felt when my car was stolen a few years ago. The garage door opener was in it and the insurance cards. I was terrified someone was going to come to the house, but it never happened. We changed the code on the garage door too. They did find my car and caught the person, but my car was totaled.

Julie: You are bad! Getting down there is the expensive part, about $240 per ticket, Jerry looked yesterday.

Gas around us is about $2.89 and we use the Giant Eagle card too. Nothing is walking distance to us.

Had a very nice birthday yesterday. I had a steak at dinner. The last steak I had was at Shula's in WDW with Julie and Garry. Jerry brought me home a DQ ice cream cake. I opened all my cards. Got money from my parents and a coupon redeemable for $5 from work. Kaleigh sang me the most adorable version of "Happy Birthday". She insisted I have candles on my cake, so I found some. She helped me blow them out. Kaleigh watched Sound of Music with me yesterday and actually put it in herself to watch today. Tonight I have a bottle of sparkling dessert wine to open.

My trees came from Arbor Day yesterday, so we are going to plant them today. They are small, but they will grow.

I work the next 2 days.
