Julie, I am in complete agreement with you and American Idol. I first wanted Chris but now am leaning towards Katherine. I absolutely love Taylor and the more I see him the more I love him BUT I just don't think that he is what kids want these days. Therefore, I can't see him going on much after the show. Paris gets on my nerves but can really sing. Kelly is doing the charming thing and it is getting old. I do love her and feel sorry for her and believe that she has a great voice. Elliot, I am just not sure.

Barb, I use to be very, very clean and organinzed before the kids. People always commented to me about it. Then one day I was talking to the neighbor lady who was actually worse than me and I realized that her baby son couldn't "live" in the house. He couldn't have ANY toys in any of the house other than his bedroom. Couldn't even play in any other room. That made me wake up and realize that life is too short and my kids are more important to me than any clutter they might cause. Therefore, I live feeling my house is for KIDS! Maybe :confused3 that can help you feel better about your house. It is a hard thing to accept. From one extreme to another. Barb, Amazing Race was not an elimination round this week. The hippies were the last to check in so they took all their money and they won't get any money at the beginning of the next leg.

Sally, the tag fairy puts little quotes under your DISname that you have said in your posts. They are always colored and that is how you can tell the difference between what you have written and what the tag fairy has written. It is considered an honor on the board to be tagged. You never know when he/she might do it.

Denine, maybe with you getting sick now, that will make room for you to be healthy in WDW. Does either of you or Julie need a nanny for the trip? :rotfl2: :lmao:

Sandy-Guess I can talk about Amazing Race since you have seen it.

Phew! Glad last night was not an elimination night because even though
my team is Fran and Barry I absolutely LOVE the hippies. I would have been so sad had they gotten eliminated!

I guess I could ease up on the house a little but the biggest problem is if I ease up before I know it I am living in a total pig pen and it will be so hard to get it back organized. I do let Ethan play where he wants to but I pick up the toys after he is done.

Mom - I thought you told me last night that you weren't watching it???? Sure make a liar out of me!!!

Barb - I am no where near a clean freak, but Chris is worse than me at cleaning up and I have started to be more of a clean freak because I want my house presentable!!!

Barb, I love the hippies, too. I was sure hoping that it wasn't elimination. Gosh, you know what?? I thoroughly understand your position and your house turning into a pig pen. That is where mine is today. With 3 estate stuff, plus my stuff, plus Graci's stuff and now I added 2 high chairs......sometimes it is just overwhelming!

Heidi, I paused the show so I wasn't watching it at the time you called. Sorry for the confusion!

Kaleigh has toys in just about every room, but mine. But, I do contain it into organizing bins and I clean up at the end of the day.

Just waiting for the munchkin to go to bed so Jerry and I can have some wine and cheese and relax a bit.

Sandy: We would love a nanny, but you have to pay your own way, sorry! :confused3

It's finally Friday!!!! This weekend is supose to be beautiful and great weather so I hope we can spend a lot of time outside. We have the girls this weekend and they have a soccer game so it should be fun!!!!

Calling all Survivor watchers - that did you thing of the show last night? Anyone watching American Inventor?...Sally?? Anyone??

Yes, I watched all the shows last night......I wish Terry could win but I don't see how he can last with 5 against him and there is not one person that I would like to see win outside of him....I can't stand Shane and the others aren't much better. That is the one thing about the show, the weak knock the strong off so the best man usually doesn't win.

I like the black man on American Inventor....he has really put his heart and soul into his invention.

Hi guys,

Woke up to a woodpecker pecking on the house this morning at 6:45. Can't wait for some time for this house. I think the only way we are going to stop him doing it year to year is to put vinyl or aluminium siding up. So we need to put in the new windows and doors and then go from there. If we don't build a new house, Ted is talking about putting on an addition so we really need to decide what we are doing. This poor house is suffering.

We are going to meet a DISer tonight for dinner at Armadillo that lives VERY close and I mean VERY close to Heidi and Chris. Also, we are meeting a guy that lives about the same distance as Lori from us. It should be a fun evening. The guy is just too funny.

My niece has a early release day from school today so I am taking her to Noodles and Co. I think my whole day is planned around food. And on a week where I actually LOST weight.

I don't think I have a favorite on Survivor. I know it wouldn't be Shane. That man is crazy. I remember thinking at one point that both Terry and Cirie made some comments early on that made me not want them to win but for the life of me, I don't know what they said.

Gee Denine, I have to pay my own way? Man, that stinks! lol

Guess it is a Friday. No one checking in more than once. Poor me. Just got back from lunch with my niece at Noodles and CO. I had Pad Thai. It was pretty good. She had noodles with butter and parmesan cheese. Man, that thing was dripping with butter. Ewwwww. She liked it tho.

Friday evening and Tiffany is bugging me for the computer so I won't be on long.

Got my hair cut today and worked out in the yard. Jason and I got Missy's stuff in storage yesterday and the living room moved around and my curtains came in so now both the bay windows in my living and dining room finally have covering after 9 years of living here! I am ready to rest for the evening. Wish I had wine and cheese to relax with!

HEIDI!!!! I forgot to tell you that stuff you recommened to me is AWESOME!! it took the spots right out of my carpet!! You are now my best friend!! I love you!!!

HI GUYS! Just popping in to say hi. We took the kids to the zoo Thurs. It was beautiful out! Today was ok. It started to rain about 5:30ish and then pretty much the rest of the night. Makenzie had a Brownie function at Build a Bear tonight that the rest of the kids went to too. Everyone got a animal. Makenzie got a pink poodle and named it Pretty Princess. Anna Marie got a cow and named it Moo Moo.Garry got a cookie monster and named it CookieMonster(real original, I know) and Brooke got a gray and white husky dog and named it Kitty.

Tomorrow we have my nieces birthday party to go to. And then on Sunday we have her horse show she is in to go to (that is if the weather holds up).

Well, nothing exciting here. I will be back on later this weekend. I hope you all have a good one!

Barb, my house is a mess too! Just ask Garry (the hubby that is). When I was in college my apt. was spotless. When Garry and I FIRST got married, it was clean too. Then we moved into this house, had 3 kids and the rest is history..... The Grouch (Oscar that is) would love my house!!! I'm soooo embarrassed. I've really got to get moving on this house. The kids are getting older and are beginning to understand that their rooms should remain neat. As for the rest of the house, that is my fault and I need to follow that advice.

Well TTFN.....

Sandy: Don't count on aluminum or vinyl siding to cure your woodpecker problem. We had a woodpecker that would peck on our gutter at the other house. I hope you had fun with your dinner.

Yesterday was a decent day at work. I just get tired of people that don't do their jobs.

My cold is some better.

We had a lot of glorious rain yesterday and last night. You have to understand I would not normally say that as we are usually drowning in the stuff this time of year, but it has been very dry. The grass really greened up overnight.

Julie: At least your kids name their animals! Trying to get Kaleigh to name her toys is like pulling teeth. We usually name them.

Barb: Glad you got you spots out and your house decluttered a bit and your new curtains up!

Heidi: ENjoy your weekend with the girls.

Jerry has to work this weekend. It starts at 4PM and could got to 4 AM. I hope not!

Had a good night....we went to a scrapbook crop and I got some more pages done on my oldest daughter's "This is your life" album I am making her for her birthday. This will finish my girl's and I have my son to do yet.

It is suppose to be a nice day....warmer than yesterday and I worked outside and had to stop as it got to hot for me.

Don't know what I will end up doing today.....Missy is bringing Ethan over so she can go workout....which I should do.

I am sitting in a nice clean computer room.....I came in yesterday and mopped up the hardwood floor and cleaned Dick's desk....he sure is the most unorganized person I know.

Have a great weekend

Hi all! Just popping in to say hi. Had a nice time at my niece's birthday party. The kids loved running around outside.

Tomorrow my niece is in a horse show, but it it raining out right now and I don't want to go if it is cold and rainy.

Weather has been beautiful here this last week. The kis go back to school on monday. The "big guy" graduates from preschool on Thursday.

Well, I know Denine will have a birthday soon April 25th, sooooooooo
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DENINE!!

TTFN

HAPPY (almost) BIRTHDAY DENINE!!!!

Spent most of the day yesterday with Tiffany preparing for prom. I did manage to get some house cleaning done and the carpet shampooed first. Tiffany and I started off going down town for "Bubble tea" next we went to the salon her for her "updo" after that we went to get pedicures and a manicure. Next a late lunch and home for the final preparation. She looked stunning in her dress and hair done. After Danny arrived I got pictures here at the house then a big group of her friends met in the park and we got group shots. The wind was blowing like crazy. After Tiffany left Jaymee and her "Swiss boy" (guy she met visiting here from Switzerland) and I went to the mall to get Michelle's (almost daughter in law) a bridal shower gift. After that Jaymee and her "Swiss boy" and I went to Red Robin for dinner. Phew full day!

I am going to work on the yard as long as possible this morning then go to Michelle's shower then work on the Mother Daughter tea party plans. Tonight we also have Missionettes. What a crazy weekend!

Julie-How fun your trip to the "Bear Factory" sounds. What did you make? I can't wait until Ethan is old enough to go and enjoy it.

Ethan will be 1 next weekend can you believe it! The time sure has flown!! We are having a party here in the afternoon. I have a baby shower to go to right before. Another full weekend next weekend too.

First of all "HAPPY BIRTHDAY DENINE"

It took Julie posting to send me a notice & our thread. I went through all the discussion boards and could NOT find out thread. Thank you Julie.

I had a great time in Las Vegas for my birthday. My son and daughter took me to a really nice steak restaurant in the Excaliber for dinner and then my daughter and I went to see "The Thunder Down Under" which is the Australian version of the Chippendales (Woo-Woo). The weather was beautiful in Vegas. Thursday and Friday it was over 80 degrees & sunny :sunny:

SANDY: I will call you to discuss Disney dinners.

This week is really crazy too! Working Monday & Tuesday and then Joyce & I are going to Atlantic City for a Union Convention on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We couldn't resist - the Union pays for your room, food, cocktail hours, brunches, etc. etc. etc. Then the following weekend is the craft fair in Ocean City, New Jersey. We are not doing anything productive, just fun things.

The fence is supposed to go up on Thursday (I can't wait) even though the doggies have been very good. Yesterday it rained all day so I was not happy walking in the rain and the one dog (the pinscher) will not go out if it's raining.
Today turned out to be really nice and sunny. I hope you all are well and having a great weekend. Miss you all :grouphug:. Toodles JEANNE

Good Morning!!

Good to see you post again Jeanne. I was wondering what happened to you.

Burrrrr it is really cold here today. I have worked in my yard this weekend and planted pansy's and my geraniums. I sure hope they last through this. it is suppose to be in the low 40ies for the next few days and in the 20ies at night.

Bridal shower went well yesterday. Michelle got a lot of nice things. Had Missionettes last night. Only a couple more months and it is over too.

I am so happy for you!!! I love that stuff. I went to the park with my sister, the twins, my cousin and her DD and stepped in gum in my brand new $30 croc flip flops. Nothing was taking the gum off. So I went and got the Lift Off for removing adhesives and it took the gum right off. That is one of the best cleaning products I have ran into!!! I want to see prom pictures if you get the time to email them. How did Tiffany enjoy the prom? I can't believe that Ethan will be one. That went by so fast, how cute!!! I can't wait to hear about the stories you will have next weekend with his 1st birthday party.

Julie - I love build-a-bear!!!!! That is so funny how Brooke named her dog, "kitty"!!!! I love it when kids do that. I can't believe Gary graduates from pre-school this week. Did you end up going to your niece's horse show?

Jeanne - glad you had fun in Vegas for your birthday. Sounds like you will have a lot of fun in Atlantic City as well.

Denine - How are you feeling today? How was your weekend?

This weekend I had a pretty busy weekend. On Saturday we went to the girls soccer game. After the game we drove them down to our house and we went hiking for 2 1/2 hours and then went swimming for 2 hours. It was a beautiful day (over 80 degrees) so it was nice to get hot and sweaty and then cool down in the pool. At night we had a BBQ and then watched Narnia. Sunday I went to my sister's house because my cousin spent the night at her house and I haven't seen my cousin in a while. We went to the park, watched Flight Plan, and had a great time. Chris took the girls to go see The Wild, they loved it. When I got home and they got home we took our dog for a long walk, the girls led so went in circles quite a bit!!! They wanted to watch Narnia again, so we did that while doing crafts. Chris took them home and I did laundry and cleaned the house. It went from the beautiful 70's to 40 degrees today. We need the mositure so hopefully it will rain today. We did get a lot of hail last night at my house. It was the biggest hail I had ever seen. Chris got back about an hour after it stopped hailing and it was still about an inch in diameter when he got home.
