We are on deck 2 and believe me, we WILL get stairs. But now you on the other hand. Deck 5? Not as much of a work out. Hmmmmm, guess that means fewer BBC's for you. :lmao:

When does Jeanne leave for Vegas?? :confused3 Have a great trip if I don't talk to you before you leave!! By the way, the free dining is limited so if you are going for sure to WDW, maybe you should make your reservations. Once they sell out it is over....at least that is what I understand.

Poor Stacey. Her DH is gone and everything possible is going wrong. The hot water heater flame blew out over night. Then her cell phone died. Geez, it is never easy when a man leaves! But, I did get to spend time with them today and that was nice. :cool1:

I forgot to ask a question on my last post. Has anyone ever eaten at Restaurant Marrakesh in Epcot? With the free dining I thought that might be a place to try that we normally wouldn't go to. Julie, I am thinking that you guys did that one year or was that Glen and Bonnie? Any feedback of pros and cons would be appreciated!

Oh and Heidi and Stacey, now that we decided not to do the Med cruise I was thinking that would be a PERFECT time to go back up to Canada. Haven't talked to dad about it yet though. We would have plenty of vacation time then. Would you guys be interested?

Welcome me back to the human race! I am finally feeling more like my old self, for what that is worth! Jerry has been wonderful. He has worked from home all week. He goes back tomorrow but then works from home on Friday agaoin because I go for my injection in the morning.

Heidi: Don't you dare lose that much weight!

Sandy: I love pasta, but I don't like spicy and it seemed everything had spicy flavors. You don't need to lose any more weight either! The seafood all seemed to have spicy too. Bonnie at Morocco. We have only eaten at the little cafe. It was good though.

I did lose 1 pound from this ordeal. Only 2 more to go and I am back to 25 pounds lost.

How long do little noses run? Kaleigh's nose has been running for almost 2 weeks and it is like pulling teeth to get her to wipe it herself. She refuses!

So where all are you guys going to eat with your free dining? I can live vicariously. Of course, we will be eating our way around the world come October for the Food & Wine festival after our cruise. I am looking forward to eating there next month. Italy, Canada, Germany...

Denine - Glad you are feeling better. It is nice that Jerry can work at home to help you out. My job is pretty good at that too. I need to lose the weight because I haven't lost the weight from my last cruise 2 years ago...and now 15 days of non-stop food, ya I need to lose weight so I can gain!!!!

Some of the restaurants I want to go to is Le Cellier, Whispering Canyon, Spoodles, and I don't know the rest!!!!!

Last night I went over to visit Stacey and the babies. It was bath night and I bought them a cute little tug boat that had fish, fishing pole, cups with holes in the bottom, a captain, and some other stuff. It was fun to watch them play with it!!!! Stacey made a very yummy dinner and my best friend came over for a while to give Stacey some clothes for Tyler and some baby clothes. We had fun, after Taura left they were in great moods and fun to play with. They still have their stranger anxiety a little bit so they were afraid of Taura and Taura wanted all hands on with them so they were not too happy with her. She said she needed her baby fill!!! I spent the night with Stacey and forgot to pack a bra for today, so I got up a little early and went home to get one instead of curling my hair!!!!!! I had a great night.

Glad you had a great night Heidi. Sounds like the new toys were a hit. Sorry about the bra. I know how early you had to get up just to spend the night. You are a good sister.

Denine, glad that you are feeling better. I still haven't hit my precruise weight either. I am running anywhere between 3-4 pounds more. Sometimes 5. That is why I would like to lose.

The restaurants that I want are LeCellier, possibly Marrakesh, Whispering Canyon(thought that would be fun with Heidi and Chris). I am still doing some research on others. Ted doesn't seem too interested in Spoodles. Oh yea, I love Alfredos in Epcot. Hopefully we can hit there again. I have a few spots in mind for counter service as well. I thought the new Terrace Noodle by Tommorowland and also one in Epcot called Flame Tree BBQ. I like that place. If you get far enough back in, it is very peaceful.

Jeanne, you guys need to pay on your deposit TODAY if you are going to the Med. Please let me know either way. Thanks! I never actually got a written quote but they did send me today a thing that the down payment is due. We were on the first tier so if you want to go and don't pay the cost of the cruise will be substanstially higher. For some reason Disney is not giving people but 3 days to put it down. I bet everyone is scrambling to get it done. Sorry!

Good Morning everyone!!

Sandy I enjoyed talking to you also yesterday. It was nice to have "Real time" and carry on a conversation.

Stayed home yesterday because of a flat tire. I could have taken the van but knew I would be scrambling after work to get it fixed. Jason had a test scheduled in the morning so after he got done he helped me. I worked on the yard and graduation stuff to help with the guilt with staying home and using vacation time.

Denine-Glad you are better.

Heidi: LOL! Glad you had fun though.

I can't wait to go to Alfredo's! I thought the Flame Tree BBQ was in Animal Kingdom? I could go for some BBQ! Whispering Canyon, fun! I also love Artist Point. We've been to the one in the Contemporary once, but it just seems too fancy to take Kaleigh too.

Now that I feel better, I am hungry!

We are going out to eat tonight to Bennigan's. I have not been out of this house since I got home from work on Friday. Kaleigh hasn't been out since Sunday morning. Need to go to the mall to look at Penney's for drapery colors, go to the Disney store to pick up Narnia and go to babies r us to check out strollers. It is my BIG night out! :rotfl2:

I have to be at the doctors at 8:15 AM tomorrow for my injection. Not looking forward to it, I just hope it takes the rest of the pain away so I can walk around disney next month.

Barb: Sorry about the flat. You didn't want to go to work anyway!

Sandy/Heidi: OK. You can lose some weight before you cruise, just not too much.

Ooops, Denine. I did type in the wrong park for Flame Tree BBQ. It is in Animal Kingdom. Good to hear that you are feeling better. I know, all this talk about food makes a person hungry. I posted a new thread on the Restaurant board about what restaurants they would choose. Kind of interesting. How about O'Hana's. We have never been. Good? Bad?? Your night out, how fun. I like the fish and chips at Bennigans. What do you get?

Had a nice evening out. I got the reuben and Jerry got the monte cristo panini. Yummy!

Never been to O'hanas.

Went to the Disney Store and got a cute outfit for Kaleigh (on sale), narnia (pre-ordered) and 3 Minnie's at $5 each. Then subtract 15% off for the pre-sale coupon. Kaleigh will get 1 Minnie in her Easter basket. The others I will give to our local charity along with 2 Princess Barbie's I bought the last time.

Found the color for draperies at Penney's. Now, do I want to spend that much money ($204, including pin hooks, but not traverse rod) for my slider window now, or buy toppers for the morning room windows instead? ($110, not including hardware). Or, wait and not do anything? Keep in mind, that Jerry gave me $500 to spend on the house this year. I have already spent $185 on paint and $43 for the office lamp and pillow. Please help me decide!

Oh my Denine. That is a hard one. Which do you like the best? Your night out sounded pretty good!

Denine - I really like Bennigans but can no longer stomach the greasy monte cristo. I might have to try the panini that Jerry tried. Sorry I can't help you with the windows, I am a newbie when it comes to that, I only have blinds!!!!

Anyone watch Survivor last night?

Tough decision.....are the drapes for the living room or morning room? Do you want to be able to close off the window? I think if it were me, I would close off the window....I don't like the idea of people being able to look in at night....and also what about the sun....does it come in the room?

It is 43 today and I guess some places are getting snow but not here. It is windy though.

I cleaned out my upstairs hall closet yesterday and I have so much body lotion, soaps, etc. It is hard to throw them away. I did get rid of two basket full but should do about a dozen more....need to shampoo the carpet now. I am having company starting the end of May so need to get this house done.....

Good Morning!

Checkin ebay for Rubber Duckie stuff. Think I will paint the upstairs bathroom light yellow and theme it with duckies. Never been a fan of yellow but love the duckies.

I ordered stamps from the Disney Store and Buzz Lightyear for Ethan's next Christmas. I wrapped Buzz last night. I still need to get Woody. I think all the graduation announcements have been or will be today mailed. I am waiting on sending the Luau invitations out for a couple of weeks. I have people that only got graduation announcements or only got Luau invitations or both. Confusing! and with 2 different mail times

I am going to work on Amanda's poster boards today. I have 3 to make for her and one more for Tiffany. Hope they don't take the 3 hours that the other ones did. I got Missy's stuff packed last night and ready for storage. I am getting stuff done little by little

Heidi I did watch and it is getting really boring.....the only good people on the show are getting knocked off and there isn't anyone on the other side I want to win.....can't believe Terry wasn't smart enough to give Austin the idol and then Austin would have been safe and the other guy would have been out. Then the game would have been more even....can't see anything in the future to make the game more exciting.

Denine- We have lived in this house for almost 9 years and still don't have curtains. We have blinds but no curtains. For some reason the idea of chosing curtains has always overwhelmed me. I did take the big plunge a couple of days ago and order Heritage Lace shears for one of my bay windows. We have 3 bay windows! I am anxious to see how they look once they are up. Only shears but for me it was a HUGE step :teeth:

Hi guys. just popping in. Things around here are still crazy. Dad is still in the hospital. They did move him to another floor (rehab) and they have him in PT for 4 hours a day. They decided to wait on the other foot right now. There is still a huge ulcer on it, but they are trying to get him use to working with the amp leg. The infection in the blood system is gone. They sent him down for a catscan the other day. He is still on an anti drip IV twice a day. He could be on this floor for another 4 to 6 weeks. IF he continues to work at it, and he gets fitted for his "play leg" (what Makenzie calls it) they MIGHT let him come home. That is great news for everything he has gone through. He is far from being healthy, but it's baby steps. We now have to get moving on getting a ramp built for my parents house. IF they let him come home, he will be in a wheelchair for some time and the house must be wheelchair acceptable or they will not let him come home. THe guys at the FOP/FOPA (faternal order of the police) lodge said that they will build it for my mom, we just have to give them the ok and make arrangements for them to do it. We are sorta "iffy" about putting it up because there is a strong possibility that they will send him to a nursing home instead of letting him come home. So we are dealing with that. He is alittle more up beat then before which is a good thing. It is one day at a time. Thanks for all the well wishes.

Everyone here has a cold or a sinus infection. Makenzie (knock on wood) is the healthiest. The Big Guy has a really bad cough and Brooke is at the tail end of a really runny nose. Garry has a nice cold and I'm the one getting the sinus infection. Makenzie has brownies tonight and I get Anna Marie this weekend.

Ok, here is the story about the day they took my dad to the hospital. The night before (it was a Wed) my dad didn't feel like walking so my mom got the wheelchair (the one I got to use from our church) and wheeled my dad to the bedroom. She then couldn't get him up out of it to put him to bed. She tried for 1 and a half hours before she decided to call the squad. (she didn't want to bother Garry or I or my brother which I told her was stupid). Anyways, the guys came and were super sweet and got my dad up and in bed. They were a bunch of nice guys and told my mom who felt silly she called them and told her anytime. That is what they are there for. SO, the next morning Garry was at work and my mom took the day off from school because my dad had a dr.'s appt and she was going to watch Brooke for me because The Big Guy had a field trip that morning and then she was going to go to Makenzie's school for lunch since it was lunch with your child day since I didn't think that I would be back in time for it. ANYWAYS, I had called her that morning and she said she hadn't gotten dad up yet because of the night before. I told her that she wasn't going to watch Brooke since all of this with my dad and luckily my brother's furnace went out so he was going to watch her for me. SO, I'm on the road going to this field trip when my brother calls and says that mom called the squad because she couldn't get my dad up and he wasn't really answering her. I called Garry and he said he got the call from dispatch and he was on his way over and everyone of course tells me to go with the Big Guy. Well, that is when it really gets interesting. The squad comes along with another fire truck. 4 guys go back to the bedroom and asked my dad what was wrong and my dad responded "I have to go to the doctors". Then this little idiot whips around to my mother and said "look lady we aren't taxi service". Then he preceeds to repremand my mother about why they are there and she called in a false "report" because the call went out at the fire station it was that that a 64 male, not breathing. WHEN in fact my mother called and said she can't get her husband out of bed and she thinks he might have had a stroke. The dispatcher then asked if he was concious (sp) and my mother said barely since he wasn't really answering her questions besides no, yes and a moan here or there. And that is how the dispatcher reported to the fire desk. It is all on tape and Garry did hear exactly what was said.

OOPS, gotta go get the big Guy from preschool. I'll finish the story later on. SOrry for not finishing it....... but it gets better!!

TTFn

Sally - I agree. I thought he was stupid for not giving the idol to him...but I guess we will see what his plans are and what he is going to do with the idol.

Julie - good to see you posting....man what a cliff-hanger you left us with regarding the never ending saga for you. Glad your dad is getting better and the infections is out of the blood.

Julie, good to see your post. I am not left on the cliff hangar like everyone else. You better post again soon.

It is a cold rainy/snow day. It is so perfect for the lawn. I just wish we could have aerated and fertilized before this. I am running behind because of all the extra we have going. I don't always think about THIS household. oops.

Going to go and do some more research on restaurants. Ok, anyone ever try Kona Cafe, Cape May Clam Back, Ohana's, Boma or CA Grill?
