Barb - I am not exactly sure why Bonnie has stopped posting but I do believe that her reason is that she is very busy.

Hi everyone! Graci is down for a nap so I am sneaking on the computer.

Bonnie is not posting because she is very busy for one and just kind of down for another. Maybe we should go on a card campaign to cheer her. Everyone should send her an upbeat card. I miss her posts just like all of you.

Heidi, I just got off the phone with Stacey. She was trying to figure out how to send a pm. I will have to go out and see what thread she is on. I think she is VERY intimidated by the board. I case anyone can help, Stacey is looking into stay at home jobs. She knew at one point that I was checking into being a travel agent at Dreams but they responded that they don't have any openings. She has an Accounting degree that maybe she could work with. Any ideas would be helpful.

Denine, I understand whole heartedly about Jerry and seeing his dad. I saw my dad in the casket and chose NOT to see my mom. I do NOT regret my decision not to see her. They encouraged me to see her at the hospital all hooked up and with tubes down her but I refused. I refused to see her after they took all of them out and I refused to see her in the casket. I wanted pleasant memories. I am not sorry and everyone respected my wishes. It is UP TO JERRY and NO ONE ELSE!!! He should not feel pressured. I was told by professionals that I would regret it and I don't.

Julie, with your BUSY schedule you were a doll to watch Kaleigh. I know how hard it is to watch 3 little ones and still maintain your daily schedule. You will certainly need to go to be early to make up for it!

Still working on Ethan's stocking. I have made, Pooh, a train, Mickey Mouse, & a Jack in the box so far. I cut out a big tree so I can put the toys around it.

Sandy- If you get a hold of a good recipe for Chicken noodle soup will you share? Do you have a good recipe for vegtable soup?

Mom don't you usually make vegtable soup? I am looking for a recipe.

Barb - I love that post from Winnie the Pooh. I am sure once things get back to normal for Denine she will have a good recipe, she always hooks me up with recipes when I need them.

Went shopping last night at JC Penneys. I got a cute sweater on clearance that was originally $30 for $8 and underwear for .46 and $1.00!!!!! You can take 40% off clearance prices. Went again with Chris and they have $200 jackets on clearance for $36, too bad he couldn't find one that he liked (too picky!!!!)

Mom - Chris and I finally went to Texas Roadhouse for the $14.99 2fer deal....it was very good and very filling!!!!!!

Barb, I just boil stew meat in salty water until tender. I then add frozen stew vegetables that I can only find at King Soopers and a can of whole tomatoes that I crush. I boil all that until almost done. Then I make dumplings out of Bisquick and the recipe for those is on the package. Voila, I have veg. soup. Very easy and Ted and I love it. My dad taught me that one.

Heidi, I am running over to Stacey's today to see the babies. I wonder if we will get on the computer. I like the way you are protecting her. Great deals at Penneys. I am trying to stay away from clothing stores. Can't get into my closet the way it is. Sorry I didn't have a chance to talk much to you yesterday but "someone" called. I am glad that you tried the 2fer. We absolutely love them!

Sandy here is a recipe for homemade noodles:

2 to 2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour, divided
l/2 teaspoon salt
3 eggs
l Tablespoon cold water

Place 2 cups flour and salt on a pastry board or in a deep mixing bowl.
Make a well in the center of the flour:add eggs and water.
Gradually mix with hands or wooden spoon until well blended.
Gather into a ball and knead on a floured board until smoooth, about l0 minutes.
If necessary, add remaining flour to keep dough from sticking to board or hands.
Divide the dough into thirds.
On a lightly floured board, roll each section into a paper-thin rectangle.
Dust top of dough with flour to prevent sticking while rolling.
Trim the edges and flour both sides of dough.
Roll dough, jelly-roll style.
Using a sharp knife, cut l/4-inch slices.
Unroll noodles and allow to dry on paper towels before cooking.

To Cook:

Bring salted water to a rapid boil.
Add l tablespoon oil to the water;drop noodles into water and cook until tender but not soft.

Yields l0 to l2 servings. Can be frozen and cooked later after defrosting

Just wanted to let you all know that I went to the funeral home last night and the flowers from all of us looked GREAT! They were sooooooo beautiful! Jerry and Denine seemed to be holding up pretty well. Today was the funeral and it has been lightly snowing but is blowing and windy and very cold out. At least it isn't raining out.

I just stopped home to get more cookie stuff that I forgot this morning. So I thought I would stop in an see what everyone is up too!

A 2fer is where you can pick 2 meals from a list and then each person gets to pick 2 side dishes all for $14.99. Chris had a steak with baked potato and veggies and I had chicken friend steak with mashed potatoes and a salad. Of course you get to eat the yummy rolls and peanuts.

Chris and I learned from last night that you tell the waiter when they ask you if you have been there before ALWAYS say no (unless they know you!!) because you get FREE ribs~~~~I told my waiter I changed my mind and that we haven't been there before but he wasn't buying it!!!!
