Nice Barb!

Well, pixie dust is needed again. Faith went into the hospital today. She was feeling bad but went into work anyway. Got very dizzy so she went to the ER. They did a EKG and didn't like the results so she is staying at least overnight.

Heidi, I know that the DCL board has lots of hints for cruising. I tried to search it but it didn't come up with what I wanted. Heather wants some tips on the Wonder and excursions. The just paid the trip in full and she is so psyched.

Mom - How many day cruise? What dates? I am sure I can pull something up for her.

SALLY: You are in my thoughts & prayers.

JERRY & DENINE: Just to let you know I am thinking of both too!

SANDY: I didn't know you still heard from Faith. Tell her I miss her & get well soon! Wanted to come & visit you over Easter but it is too far for my daughter to drive, so we are planning a Las Vegas "meet-up" trip April 9th to the 14th. My daughter is flying from Long Beach via Jet Blue & we are flying from Philadelphia & all meeting up in Las Vegas. It should be fun.

Bonnie has to tell her own news. Little hint - she did have a date!

It has been really a hectic day. Mary & I went to exercise this morning, then to Sam's Club & the Mart. Mary went to the divorce lawyer & I went to the Dr. for my yearly checkup. Home at around 6:30 PM. I just want to say that this is the fattest I have been in a long time (waiting patiently for my Nurtrisystem food to arrive).

Hope you all have a nice night. Miss you all. Toodles :earsgirl: JEANNE

Jeanne - I wish you could have talked your daughter into driving here so that we could see you!!!!! That would have been so much fun. I guess we will just have to wait for September to meet again.

Last night I went to a TimeShare presentation.....Dang that is high pressure sales!!! I have never done that before, never really wanted to but my cousin is very athletic and plays many sports for Columbine and it was a fundraiser for the Columbine baseball team. He had to get three people to do it...me, my parents, and his parents!! I was the lucky one to go first (atleast I got it over with). The team gets $100 and I was supose to get a $50 gift card. I was up front and said that I am just here for my cousin to get $100 but that didn't work out as I planned, they still tried their hardest. After 3 people trying to convince me, they finally gave up (after 2 hours when it was only supose to be 90 minutes) and told me where I can get my free gifts!!!! Not only did I get what was mentioned above, but I also got a $10 gc to Shell for gas and a 4 day/3night trip to Orlando, Las Vegas, Mexico, or Hawaii. I guess it was worth the abuse...BUT NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

My friend is out here visiting from California. I haven't seen her in over a year so I can't wait to meet up with her. It is going to be a very busy weekend for me.

Good Morning,

Today is Tiffany's 18th birhtday. My baby is 18! I can hardly believe it.
We are going to lunch then shopping and to get facials. Tonight Tiffany and I are going to the Country Dinner Theater to see Beauty and the Beast. Should be fun. It is a gift from the church given to the "girls club" leaders.

Feeling kind of sad today about my Aunt. Hope things are ok with Denine and Jerry.

Bonnie-What is the news?? We are waiting :hyper2:

Guess I had better start getting ready. Already 8:00 and I have not even taken my shower. :scared1:

Barb - Have you heard anything about your aunt?

I LOVE Country Dinner Playhouse. Their food isn't the greatest but the show are awesome!!!!! I love to go there but it is so expensive. Let me know how Beauty and the Beast was. I will be right by you when you are up here....too bad we couldn't meet.

Hoping Denine and Jerry are doing okay, haven't heard from them last night or today yet.

Hi guys! Sorry to be MIA lately. The Big Guy wasn't feeling well but is doing better. He still is complaining of a headache. WELL, the cookies are in!!!!!! I had to go pick up our troops cookies yesterday and then I had to seperate the cookies into each girl's total cookie order. It took me and another mom almost 3 hours from start to finish! I will have your cookies in the mail today Sandy and Heidi. Thank you sooooooo much for ordering cookies!!! I'm sending them all in one box to Sandy's house. I figure that you guys get together to watch shows during the week, so you guys can snack on cookies while you watch them!!!

IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE SOME GIRL SCOUT COOKIES, WE ARE STILL TAKING ORDERS UP TO JAN. 31ST!! SO IT'S NOT TOOOOOOOO LATE!!!!!

I haven't heard anything from Denine and Jerry lately. So I wish I could update you on Jerry's dad for you all.

My dad is home and has been given the 6 weeks before they remove his leg from the knee down. It is 97% chance that it will happen, but they are doing this last minute "hope" that these drugs can save the foot. The dr's have already scheduled the surgery though.

Well, gotta go. I'll be back later!

Jeanne, tell Bonnie to spill her news!!! Nice to see you posting!!!

Barb, tell Tiffany we all said HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Isn't there another another Parrott birthday coming up at the end of the month???

TTFN

I just finished catching up withthe thread.

Jerry's dad will hopefully be transferred to the hospice facility tomorrow. The tube is out, but he isn't swallowing very well. He appears to have short term memory loss, most likely from being down for so long.

Kaleigh and I didn't not go to the hospital today, Jerry is there now but should be home before Kaleigh goes to bed. I called off work for today, so am not scheduled until next Friday.

Thanks for everyone's support!

Sally: Have you heard anything about your sister?

Julie: Glad the Big GUy is feeling better. Hope your dad is in good spirits. Jerry told me about the 6 weeks, or was it you? I don't even know what day it is half the time.

Jeanne: GLad to see you posting.

Just thanks for being there and someday, I will vent to you what happened last night, it is still too raw.

Went to a 60th birthday luncheon for one of the labor & delivery nurses. She is a breast cancer survivor & is just the nicest lady you would ever meet.

HEIDI: I have went to several timeshare sales "meetings". It is the highest sales pressure you will ever experience. I DO own a timeshare but I bought a resale for $3000.00 in the Poconos instead of the $10,000 plus they were selling them for through the sales agent. I DO love owning a timeshare because you can ALWAYS take a vacation. You can get some nice free things for attending the meetings but it really ISN'T worth it!

Off to work Saturday & Sunday so if I don't post I have an excuse. Toodles :earsgirl: JEANNE

My sister died today at l0:l5 this morning.....my niece called and said they were all doing ok and the memorial service is Sunday. THanks for all the kind words and prayers

I went to the doctor today with Dick...he has to have more blood test to find out what is going on with him now. HIs legs are swollen and it is worse in the morning when he gets up and the doctor said it should be worse at night...I got eardrops for my ear as it is still closed and everything echos...we both go back next Wed.

Sally:  Sorry to hear about your sister. Pixie dust to Dick.

Jeanne: We went to 1 timeshare presentation to get free tickets to Busch Gardens. Very high pressure sales. I'll take my DVC anytime!

Jerry's dad was transferred to the hospice facility yesterday around dinnertime. It seems to be a very nice place. I hope things quiet down for a bit. We are all exhausted.

The greater part of our happiness or misery depends on our dispositions, and not our circumstances.

Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a good weekend. GO BRONCOS!!!!

Denine- Hope things settle down for you and Jerry soon.

SALLY: So sorry for your loss

Sleeted, snowed, then iced over. The weekend was a challenge driving but it was very slow at work so I had a great work weekend.

I didn't get to watch any football this weekend but did read that Denver advanced. Congratulations all you Bronco fans . My son loves the Redskins and, of course, they were knocked out. The teams left are from all areas of the country. Should be very exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hyper: :hyper:

Started Nutrisystems on Saturday and I have to admit the food is very tasty. It is probably half of what I would normally eat at a meal but you can add a salad or fruit. This morning I made Nutrisystem pancakes with blueberry fruit spread; they were very good. I am so FAT I can't stand it anymore!

Hope you all have a great week. Miss you all. Toodles :earsboy: JEANNE

Sally - I am so sorry to hear about your sister.

Denine - what happened Thursday night? or is it still to raw to talk about? Hopefully Hospice has helped out the stress of the situation for you and the family.

I second Barb....GO BRONCOS!!! I watched all 4 playoff games and I am glad that the Colts are out and that we get to play Pittsburg!!!!

I had a very busy but good weekend with my friend. When we parted ways she was crying which made me cry. I am sure everyone at the bar was wondering what the heck was going on!!! I was sick on Saturday but still decided to go out and hang out with my friends. My drink of choice was Immodium AD but still had fun.

Heidi: I don't have time right now to type what happened on Thursday, but I am dealing with it.

Going to see Jerry's dad after dinner. We are sooo tired. Jerry is fighting off a cold and Kaleigh has been a BEAR! She got stood in the corner yesterday and didn't like it one bit. That is the current threat.

The hospice facility is very nice. They sure dote on you. Jerry's dad has short term memory impairment. He doen't remeber Christmas and forgets what you tell him a few minutes later. He is on MS Contin twice a day with more morphine inbetween for breakthrough pain. He is on thickened liquids because he chokes on thin liquids. The biggest change is his personality. He is actually jovial! In the almost 18 years that Jerry and I have been together, I have never seem him like this. Jerry's mom keeps wanting a keg of whatever he is on. He has been on Morphine before without this happening, so I don't think that is the reason.

Jeanne: Good luck on you diet! Ours has suffered a bit with all of the craziness.

Heidi: At least you had a good time anyway on Saturday.

At least we are caught up on the laundry and shopping. The hospice has a whole table of snacks and a crock of soup at all times, so that may be dinner once in a while. The soup smells and looks good, but haven't had any yet.

Until, hopefully, tomorrow.

Good Morning! :flower:

Women will forgive anything. Otherwise, the race would have died out long ago ;)

Hope everyone is having a good week. I found my checkbook after 5 days missing. I was starting to stress out that I had lost it. I am very happy!

We have had flu in our home. I got a flu shot 2 days before we left for Disney. Missy had the flu the day after we left and was really sick. Jaymee had the flu last weekend and now Bob is sick although hes says it is not flu but food poisioning. WHATEVER!

Denine-We are always here for you.

Heidi-I ALWAYS cry when someone is crying around me. :sad1:
I know how you feel.

It is Girl Scout Cookie time in Colorado. 2 little girls came to my house on Saturday. They are asking for the money upfront now. Never did that when I was a girl scout! Pretty much irrated me.

Hugs to Sally. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your sister. I feel bad that I was MIA over the time. Let us know what the Dr. has to say for both you and Dick!

Thanks for calling Heidi. I am ok. Just been soooooo busy over the weekend and then I had to catch up on THIS house and get some groceries while Graci was in school.

Jeanne, I hear from Faith sporadically. She is doing better and has been informed to see a cardiologist. Gee, I wish you could have come out here for Easter. I bet I could talk Bonnie into coming out at that time too. Wouldn't that be a hoot?? Good luck on your diet. I can't wait to see what you think of it.

Denine, I am glad that your FIL is in hospice now. I tell you, they are soooo worth it. They are there for the patient as well as the family. We have been through the process three times. If you need to vent about whatever it was, I am hear. YOu could even call!

Julie, got your email. Will write back soon. Can't wait for the cookies. Heidi, what shows are we watching together? Keep us informed on your dad. A definite prayer is for him on saving his leg!

Barb, sorry about your Aunt and also about all the sickies. Keep it in the Springs though. We don't want it up here!!

Was busy at the two other houses this weekend. Started at Louise's house going through boxes. I am now the proud owner of a mink stole(sp). What in the world am I going to do with that??? How do I get an appraisal? Where could I sell it? It was kept in a locked locker so it is in PERFECT condition. We are finding boxes and boxes and more boxes of jewelry. Pretty much all is costume jewelry but some we need to have checked out. Finding some with the diamonds taken out so they have to be how the HUGE ring I found was made. Then ended up at Ted's dads house cleaning out the garage and (shhhh-don't tell Heidi) taking up aspestos tile in the basement bedroom. Made me nervous but home depot said the tile isn't that bad.....it is the insulation that you have to worrry about. Two days at each place and now home to do the laundry to get ready to head out this weekend at the 2 houses. Will it ever end?

Better run. Graci needs me.

I just posted a long post and it disappeared.

It had a lot of  :sad2:  and :rolleyes2 due to the aspestos comment from my mom.

And also I forgot that it was also Barb's aunt that passed away too so I wanted to make sure I gave her a hug  and tell her I am sorry for her loss.

Mom - I was thinking we could watch Survivor together again. I am trying to get back to working out at 24 Hour fitness and doing their classes and they all start at 7:30 but the Thursday class.
