October 19th Cruisers again and again... Part 2

Wow, went to finish shopping last night and came home exhausted due to fighting all the crowds...it was insane. The least crowded was probably Best Buy and Target which really suprised me. I still want to get earings for the girls and a CD holder for them, I want to get my niece and nephew some books, and scratch tickets for Chris's stocking...other than that I will be done!!!!

Good Morning!

Glad you are almost done shopping Heidi. I still have to go out this week.

Denine-Scary night! Hope Kaleigh is doing better.

My desk is piled high with stuff to work on. Since it is a little slower at work I brought Missionette stuff, thank you notes, some last minute Christmas cards and 3 books to read.

I guess everyone is busy doing last minute Christmas stuff.

Kaleigh slept very well last night, but woke up crying this morning. She has a runny nose and fever and cough. She is having a hard time swallowing but she won't tell me if her throat hurts or is just difficult. She admitted earlier that her ears hurt, but now denies pain. She is going to the doctor at 3:30 PM. She was so miserable this morning. She just sat on my lap and cried. She does feel better now, and I did manage to get some tylenol in her at noon. I need to go to Target for more medicine. She hates this flavor tylenol, but that was all they had on the Magic. At least she did drink some juice, not nearly as much as usual, but at least it is something. She didn't want any treats for going potty and it took her an hour to eat half a small Christmas cookie. No breakfast either. Does that sound like a hard time swallowing to you? All right, now I hear her jumping off her bed.

I sure hope Kaleigh isn't too sick for Christmas. We are going to my parents on Saturday and Jerry's on Sunday. I have already decided we are not going to church. I am taking Airborne to try not to get sick. I work the next 2 days.

I did get a mattress pad for the guest bed, but as luck would have it, the cheaper ones were already gone. Why is it, that when Kohl's has something on sale that I need, everyone else seems to have the same need? ANyway, the bed is all made up and looks nice.

My new bed is really comfy, but Jerry doesn't know where to sleep now. There isn't a hump in the middle to keep him on his side and I had to keep telling him to move over. He told me to just go to sleep. I said I can't, I only have 1/4 of the bed.

Heidi: Nothing like waiting for the last minute to get your shopping done!

Barb: You need a bit of a break at work.

I will try to make it back on, but if I don't, I hope everyone has a great Christmas!

Jerry has Monday off and we are going shopping.

Gosh, lots of activity today.

Denine, how scary with Kaleigh. Sure hope she gets over it by Christmas. It seems to never fail that kids get sick on holidays and birthdays. Before I could finish typing that last sentence Stacey called to tell me that the twins are sick too. Little Tyler has a barking cough. I can just see you taking a running leap into bed until you get some steps. :rotfl2: And then, Jerry and hogging the bed because the hump is gone.

Gee Barb, too bad everyone doesn't have your kind of job. Got to work and get paid doing personal stuff. Nice!

Oh and Denine. Could you share the cheesy tator tot recipe? We all love tator tots here.

Better run and get things done. Wrap, shower, look for appetizers, cook and whatever else comes my way.

Sandy the only reason I get to do personal stuff is because I take calls all day long. Close to the Holidays a lot of the agents are not working and customers are busy getting things ready for Christmas so the calls are slower.
Don't think you would want my job unless you enjoy being yelled and cussed out all day.

Barb, I know for a fact I wouldn't want your job. The times you have told us about all the unhappy people make me even more happy with clingy and crying children. You have to be special to be able to listen to these people when you want to scream at them instead. My hat is off to you.

Good morning. It is 6:45am and already been to McD's for breakfast and back. Waiting for the kids. I have tons to do still. I had a huge craft plan for the kids and decided to take it all the way and now we have to go shopping in this mess of a season. Crazy me! We are making a miniature Christmas tree out of pipe cleaners. Even putting it under a dome.

Have fun!!! I was able to get all my shopping done and presents wrapped last night!!!

Yay, changed my mind. Not going out. We will complete it when they get back next week. And....I might get rid of them early today. Just 45 minutes but heck, I'll take that!!

Good Morning,

Packing up my desk today because I am moving to another desk. The bright sunlight has finally taken its toll on me. I have been having headaches so decided to request a move. I will be on the other side of the wall but there will still be windows right in front of me. Right now I have floor to ceiling windows about 6 feet from me all the way down the building and across the front.

Miniature tree eh? Sounds really cute. I have never made one of them is it hard?

Going shopping tonight, off tomorrow so I am hoping to finish shopping, going to Santa's workshop on Saturday then out to dinner with some friends and to church. I have to find a light weight stroller to take to Disney for Ethan.

Lots to do and little time to do it!

Barb, how about just a simple umbrella stroller from Walmart or Target? Very compact BUT is he still too small for one? The tree is somewhat difficult but I did a kid friendly version. I actually make miniature paper chains and popcorn, cranberry strands. Wrap mini gifts, make ornaments etc but this time I just bought everything with the exception of the tree. It is made from pipe cleaners that you cut and bend.

My bread maker just buzzed. Time to make rolls.

Sandy- The tree sounds so cute! If you find some easy directions let me know.

I am looking at a real light weight umbrella stroller. Bob and I are getting to Disney on the 29th and Missy will have to travel alone with Ethan on the 30th. I guess I will share, Missy and Mike are no longer together so Ethan and Missy are now living with us. It is kind of relief in a way because I won't have to worry about her every day. I know she and Ethan are safe, fed and loved. But prayers are very appreciated.

Well Mom and Dad are off on their cruise today. Lucky them! Hope they have a good time.

Almost time to go home although my afternoon is going to consist of shopping until I drop!

Oh wow, Sally is on the cruise now. Man, am I ever green with envy. I hope she has a blast! Barb, sorry to hear about Missy but by the sounds of your post, you are relieved. At least you get to see Ethan daily. How nice is that?! Prayers are sent your way. And while I am at it, a hug or two for you! Not sure if I have written instructions for the tree but will look around for you. Believe me, it takes a long time to make but the end results are worth it. If anything, we could meet some time after the holidays and things slow down a bit and you can see it. As crafty as your family is, I am sure that you guys could figure it out!!

Hi everyone! Sorry to be MIA lately. TRYING to get all my stuff done. Thank goodness I had SOME gifts bought before my foot surgery. I had to go out wednesday to get the rest done. I will have to go out tomorrow for stocking stuffers but I can deal with that. I have a sitter coming over so I can go run. Saturday we have a BROWNS game (can you believe that they scheduled a game for Christmas eve? And it is the Pittsburgh game too our biggest rivals!). We will not stay for the entire game but we couldn't get rid of the tickets and I didn't want to eat $100, so we will go and then come home, take a shower, get the kids ready, go get Anna Marie, go to church, come home and get Garry's birthday dinner ready (he had to work Christmas eve, but that is his LAST NIGHTS!!!), send Garry off to work, go over to my brother's house for awhile (we do a white elephant gift exchange that night and boy do I have the perfect gift!!!) and then back home to get the little ones in bed so santa can come, have AnnaMarie stay up until I get back from the police station because we are buying the shift a deli tray since nothing is open that night and THEN I get to go home. Oh yeah, I've got to get my Christmas cookies done sometime between now and sat. morning!

Heidi, I just finished wrapping my gifts today! Isn't fun to buy for kids though?

Sandy, you sound as busy as ever!! Boy I wish I could come over and get some of those craft ideas!

Denine, I hope Kaleigh is feeling better. There is nothing worst then sick kids!! Were did you find your airborne? I've been looking for it, but can't ever seem to find it. The kids and I got flu shots, so knock on wood, we should be ok ( I hope) for the holidays!

Barb, we got a stroller from Toys R Us that was a small verison of a full size stroller and it wasn't an umbrella stroller. What was nice was that it folded with a push of a button with one hand and it compacted nicely. It also had a basket underneathe that is ALWAYS A BIG PLUS when dealing with diaperbags, bottles/sippy cups. The sit had a strap that put the seat up or so the baby could lay down as well. It was only around $30 I think. Before you get an umbrella stroller, you might want to check it out. I used it too when we would go to the mall around here and on the cruise ship. Pixie Dust and prayers your way for Missy and Ethan and you too! Glad to hear that everyone is safe and happy now.

Jeanne, I hope you aren't working too hard! Tell Joyce we all say HI and wishing her all the best!

Bonnie, We miss you!!!! Come back sooooooooooon!

Susan, please post when you get the chance!!

Well, gonna go. I will be back to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! Have a great Friday!

TTFN

Barb - so sorry to hear about Missy and Mike. How is Missy doing with the seperation? Prayers and hugs to you all. Just think happy thoughts, soon you all will be on vacation!!!

Julie - slow down, remember you are suppose to rest your foot. :goodvibes Sounds like everyone will have a pretty busy Christmas. Yes I love shopping for kids, but boy can that get expensive becuase you find everything that you want to buy. Just 2 days ago I decided I wanted to buy A book for Joey and Tyler and came home $30 later with 3 books!!!!!

Julie - I forgot to add that the Broncos are playing their biggest rivals on Christmas Eve also, we are playing the Raiders.

I made it back on before Christmas!

Kaleigh is still sick. Coughs for 30-40 minutes during the night and wakes up with a fever in the morning. She is still pretty miserable. The Tylenol is wonderful though. About 45 minutes after taking it, she is feeling better. Still going to my parents tomorrow.

Barb: Sorry to hear about Missy, but as someone else said, it does sound like you are relieved. Disney will be a good break. Look into the stroller Julie was talking about. I won't have a stroller without a basket.

Sandy: I'll send you the tater tot recipe. That is the one I decided to make. Now, Jerry needs to go shopping tonight so I can make it tomorrow night. We are not going to church tomorrow since Kaleigh is sick. If it wasn't Christmas, we wouldn't be going to my parents. Your pipe cleaner Christmas tree sound cute!

Julie: Sounds like you have a busy day tomorrow. Glad it is Garry's last time working nights. Maybe it will be easier to get together now!

I made it through 2 days of work completely exhausted. Kaleigh woke up at 1:45 AM and coughed for 40 minutes and then was awake playing. Next thing we knew, the alarm was going off at 4:30. I took a nap after I got home. It is a good thing I can drive to work in my sleep!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!

Didn't read but wanted to make sure that I tell each and everyone of you to have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS. I wish we all lived close together and could have a family gathering. Love to all. Sandy

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!!

I am posting before all the Christmas stuff starts. I have all 4 kids here plus Michelle. Yesterday (Christmas Eve) we finished up some shopping, picked up my step Grandson Devon who is 4 and went to Santa's Workshop. This wonderful place in the mountains with rides and Christmas village. Got some cute pictures of the boys on Santa's lap. Then dropped Devon off, went to church and out to dinner with some friends that are in town. Home to open Christmas jammies. Today we are going to church then home to make dinner, open gifts, stop by Melanies (step daughter) then to a movie and home to play cards. Full day!

Thank you for all the prayers for Missy. She seems to be doing pretty good and I know I am happier knowing she and Ethan are warm, fed and loved. My living room has been taken over by baby stuff. Swing, walker, toy box, 2 bouncers, high chair, etc... I did find a stroller and it does have a basket on the bottom. :cheer2: It has a lot better support then a regular umbrella stroller and folds really nicely plus has a strap to make it easier for carrying. We are all set to head for Disney!!

I will post more later. Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!
