Hi all! It's me the stranger from Ohio. Sorry I've been MIA for so long. I have been lurking just not posting. Been crazy around here, but what else is new. Let's see here......

Denine, quack, quack, quack quack. Are you guys building the ark or are we? I don't mind the cold, just not the rain!!!! I love to snuggle up in a big blanket and drink tea, hot cocoa, or soup. I also like the snow too. I know, you don't but it is soooooooooo beautiful to look at. Let's make some plans to get together.

Heidi, the picture of your "bo" is a great picture. The twins are beautiful. I give you credit for being such great friends with his ex. It makes things sooooooooooooooooo much easier when you do. I problems I have had...... lately they haven't been too bad so it's time for one of the explosions. We haven't seen Anna Marie for the past two months except for twice. She has her own other life over there (over an hour away, that is how far she lives from us) and we are of course an after thought. The last visit didn't go very well. Long story short, I told her I could meet to pick her up but I couldn't stay any later then 5:15pm so if they weren't there I had to leave. See, Makenzie was having her "bridging over" ceremony from Daisies to Brownies and she had to be at her meeting by 6:25pm and I had to pick up a new babysitter for the other two because Garry and I had an appointment at 7pm and then we were going to go to the ceremony for 7:30pm. ANYWAYS, I finally called her mother's cell phone at 5:30pm (I gave her an extra 15mins knowing that I had to travel home in rush hour traffic on a friday) and they were on their way but were stuck in traffic JUST ONE EXIT AWAY. I was made to feel like the bad guy IF I didn't wait, so like an A** I waited and just started to pull out of the parking lot at 5:45pm when they pulled up. SO I was late picking up the babysitter, later for Garry and my appointment and the most IMPORTANT I MISSED MAKENZIE'S CEREMONY!!! That is one thing I can never forgive Anna Marie and her mother for. I had told them OVER AND OVER that I can NOT meet any later then 5:15pm and after I gave them an extra 15mins. I HAD TO BE the one to CALL THEM to see what was going on and like I said, made to feel like the bad guy if I left before getting her. SO, that was the last meeting. And what really hurts,is Anna Marie or her mother never appologized for being late, for not calling, for nothing!!!! Ok, enough of that.

Sally, I wish I had a fire place, but I will live my fire place "experiences" from what you post. I swear, you are one of the busiest persons I know! Always cleaning, scrap booking, everything!!! You go girl!

Jeanne, Glad to hear that things are starting to slowing slow down for you. I think of you every weekend. I have the Eagles defense on my fantasy football league!! GO EAGLES GO!!!

Bonnie, you are doing such a great job with your weight loss!!! Keep it up girl! ANd I won't recognize you either when we get together!!!

Sandy, thinking of you often. We start selling girl scout cookies NOV 1st and I have your order for the samoas. Was it 2 or 3 boxes?? I got all my "Cookie Mom" paper work this week and what did I get myself into! LOL!! Actually I don't think it will be that bad!

Ok, What's going on in the Lauter family.........

Makenzie had her first school dance last friday. It was called the Monster Mash and it was for the entire family too. The kids wore their costumes (except for Brooke. I knew that it was going to be crazy there with a lot of people and since Garry had to work it was just going to be me so Susan my sister in law watched her.) Makenzie was Mulan and the Big Guy was Captain Hook. Brooke will be going as Tinkerbell on Halloween. Makenzie LIVED her dance!! I thought of all of you when they played this one song I KNOW THEY PLAY AT THE DECK PARTIES , the one that goes..... slide to left.....slide to the right.... cha cha.......left foot one stomp...... right foot one stomp.....etc. Does anyone know that song? Anyways, I thought of all of you!!! The Big Guy loves school and is having a blast!! NOW.... for BROOKE.... we love to draw and she holds the pencil correctly which boggles my mind since I never showed her how. I was flipping through the tv channels and came across the Full House episode where they are at Disney World and Brooke came into the room and sat down and said Dis... Dis...(that is her world for Disney world). Then they started playing "a wish is a dream your heart makes" and she got up and started dancing around in a circle "la la la la-ing" like she was singing it. I just started to cry! At the end of the show, she started to wave at the tv and saying bye mouse! And the last interesting fact is..........For the past 2 weeks she has been climbing out of her crib!!! We find her everywhere BUT in her bed!!! THe first night she climbed out, I blamed Makenzie and told her to leave her in her bed, and Makenzie said but she did it all by herself. I said yeah right and closed their door. I stood outside for about a minute then opened the door and Brooke right in the act!! Put her in the crib and then went back out into the living room to watch a movie. Got up to go to the bathroom and found Brooke in the hallway sleeping. So far we have found her in the hallway, on her floor, in Makenzie's bed and in Garry's room. I know lock the girls door (Makenzie can unlock it from inside her room and I have a key to do it from the outside)so now Brooke stays in her room, just not always in her bed. This weekend I am taking the bunk beds apart so Brooke will have her own big girl bed. Her latest trick is she nows climbs over the half gate we have up in the doorway to the steps leading upstairs to our bedroom! NICE!!! She does this without any help from anyone or anything. She will be the death of me!!!!! Oh yeah, she now pulls the kitchen chair to the counter to get what she wants now as well. CALGON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, enough from me. I promise to post more, just haven't been feeling myself lately!

Julie:It's been a long time! Sorry to hear you missed Makenzie's ceremony. I know how upset you must have been. Very thoughtless of Anna Marie and her mom for not apologizing. Sounds like the dance was fun, and I know the song you are talking about. Now, you know what I have been going thorugh with Kaleigh! I am just lucky that she stayed in her bed as long as she has, except for 1 other time. Sorry to hear you are having foot surgery. I guess the cortisone shot didn't work.

Sandy: Yes, we saw Snoopy and Woodstock at Kohl's, but Kaleigh doesn't need another stuffed animal!

We got boo'd again. I don't know if they didn't see the sign or didn't care. It is all wrapped up in plastic. I am going to wait for Jerry to get home to open it.

We broke down and turned on the fireplace last night. It did help. I was wrapped up in that blanket all evening. Had some popcorn too.

Julie, I am so happy you posted. I have been thinking a lot of you lately. In fact, I was going to pick up the phone to call you. I miss you lots. Wow, that is so sad about you missing Mckenzie's bridging over. I would be sooo upset over that. Hang in there. Heidi is very lucky that the four adults get a long so well. I did order 2 boxes. I would love 3 but I can't be tempted. Still trying to lose the post cruise weight. I love the Cha Cha Slide song. You should see Darren dance to it. Just like a pro. It doesn't surprise me that Brooke is crawling out of her crib. From what you have said about her, I would expect that.

Denine, you must be extra special in that neighborhood to be boo'd twice. I bet Kaleigh won over someone's heart like she has with all of us.

I am in the process of reading a trip report and I want to get back on that ship sooooobad now!!!!! Can I go now? She upgrade from a Category 9 to a Category 6 for $400. I think that would be worth it for a verandah!!!

Hi Everyone!!

Have not read the board but wanted to post to let you know I am home again. The 50th anniversary party was a sucess. Bob's parents really enjoyed themselfs. Got a lot of compliments on the center pieces so all the nights I stayed up until 3:00 in the morning became worth it. Bob's Mom wanted to keep them we used a lot of them as thank you gifts. Didn't get back home until 1:00 on Wednesday morning. Our plane was delayed out of Boston. Had to get up early and clean, shop and set up for the baby shower at my house last night had about 25 people there. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. Needless to say I am laying low for a while. I am worn out!

New Hampshire was so pretty. Bob's parents live in a tiny little town about a mile from Vermont. We went to lots of cute stores. I felt like I was living in a time long ago. Bob's Dad built their house 50 years ago. I was looking at all Bob's baby pictures. It is so funny to see their house has not changed at all. My Mom on the other hand is always redecorating her house.

I will catch up on reading the board soon hope everyone is well.

Barb: Sounds like a good time was had by all. New Hampshire and Vermont are very pretty.

Sandy: I didn't get a flu shot last year and don't know if I will get one this year. It all depends on if they are giving them out free at work. The person that I thought boo'd us again also has a second "boo" in their window.

I am not a happy camper. I went to change the sheets to put on the flannel ones and found that someone, probably Hera, peed on the blanket on our bed. I had to wash that too. Then I went to put the comforter back on and found pee there too. I stuffed it into the washer. It is now in the dryer. I don't know why she is doing this. Both cats even took a short nap with me yesterday. They usually don't like to go where they sleep and vice versa.

Went to Kohl's last night to exchange the picture frame. I got one that only has 6 openings, but they all go in the same direction. I put it together today. Looks good. My Curacao pictures will hang in the basement. It will give me something nice to look at while doing my TM.

I work tomorrow, so don't expect to hear from me.

Still not a happy camper. The pee spot is still there. DO I try washing it again, making sure the pee spot is on the outside so it is sure to get washed or try to find a laundromat and spend time I don't have waiting for it to wash and dry there?

Denine, I honestly don't think a laundromat would produce different results. I say spray it with like shout and leave it sit for a couple of hours and THEN rewash it. Sorry, we had a cat that urinated on the basement carpet.

Barb, your trip sounded wonderful. I have always wanted to go up that way. And this time of year must have been beautiful. Hope you don't have to work the remainder of this week. You sure had a lot on your plate!!

Heidi, what do you mean answer my phone?? I talked to you once and I called you and you didn't answer....so there!

Denine - Have you tried something called Natures Miracle? Thats what Chris uses when Sable throws up on stuff and it takes it out. Not sure if it is for urine or not, but maybe worth a try.
