Amazing Race starts tonight!!!!!!! I've drawn the teams like I did last time if that is ok with everyone.

Here is what the teams are:

Garry - Rob and Amber (engaged)
Julie - Ron and Kelly (dating)
AnnaMarie - Ryan and Chuck (friends)XX :faint: (first ones gone!!)
Sandy - Lynn and Alex (boyfriends)
Heidi - Susan and Patrick (mother and son)
Ted - Meredith and Gretchen (grandparents)
Sally - Brian and Greg (brothers)
Barb - Ray and Deana (on/off dating)
Susan - Debbie and Bianca (friends)

which leaves 2 teams left.....any takers??? Bonnie??? Denine??? Jeanne???

I don't know anything about any of the teams (except for Amber and Rob) but what was on the cbs webpage. I put all named into a hat and had Makenzie pick each team. She loved helping.

the other two teams are Heidi and Megan (friends) and Uchenna and Joyce (married). Same rules as last, first 2 teams gone, get a new team? Hope this is ok for everyone!

Bonnie sorry to hear about the craziness going on over there! We got hit pretty hard with snow today! We have a good 6-8 inches since 3pm this afternoon.

TTFN!

I'm running late but wanted to check in and give you all a couple of quotes.

If everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.

Most people deserve each other.

The one who snores will fall asleep first.

Have a great day everyone!
Later!

I think this race is going to be better than the last one...at least there wasn't any fighting going on....I have the POW guy in the office race....sure thought he would do a lot better than he did....seems pretty mellow....the girl team is a little annoying.

I have done a little in the yard but not real warm yet....had to dig some lilac stomps out....not fun. I am trying to a least fill one trash can full of leaves, etc a week.

Still working on Rick's Heritage Album to take in April for his birthday....worse thing I found in our family line is an aunt that had a son and wasn't married...in those days a big scandle!

Still have the doors in our bedroom and bathroom to paint....didn't do anything yesterday as I went with a friend and did the monthly supply shopping for church....love to spend someone else's money....it takes about 2 hours at Sam's.

Going to Curves this morning....was going to start diet yesterday but somehow didn't get around to it....must be an easier way to lose weight...lol

Thanks Julie for the teams again!!!! My team is in second place, yay!!!! I actually like my team so far!! I love the "boyfriends" they are hilarious. Last night when the "hillbillies" were doing the rip cord, I almost wet myself laughing so hard at the guy who's butt dragged in the ground! :rotfl: :rotfl2:

mom - what room are you in for the 14 day cruise? I was playing around with the map of the ship and I was wondering where you will be. I know it is aft near the secret deck 7!!!

Bonnie - I am sorry. Take a deep breath and relax...wish I could give you a big hug. :grouphug:

:wave2: Hi Sally, glad you found your way back!!! We missed you.

Thanks Julie for your work, AGAIN. I, too, enjoyed Amazing Race last night. I was NOT looking forward to Boston Rob but I was pleasantly surprised. He was very good and even gave me a few laughs. I am happy that I got the "boyfriends". I love them!! They are just too cute. Heidi got my next favorite team, the mother son team.

Bonnie, sounds to me like you made the right decision. You have to sometimes think about what is best for you at the time. Hugs to you! :love2:

Sally, your post cracked me up. I love to spend someone elses money too. Just ask Heidi! :teeth:

Susan, I love the one on the one who snores falls asleep first. Man, can I ever relate to that one!

Today I have Noah and Graci. Their parents are going to drop them off around 7:30 this morning and then are headed to the airport. They are going to Cabo San Lucas until Friday. Grandma is going to pick them up tonight around 6. Not looking forward to some sad kids! Bless their hearts! Their dog Buster is coming too. Good luck getting into the house tonight Heidi! :rotfl:

I will have to take the kids to weigh in today and will report my loss (positive attitude) later.

Love to all.

Just wanted to drop in & say "Good Morning" :sunny: We did get a big snowstorm :cold: but it turned out to be tolerable.

BONNIE: Are you sure you don't want to come back to hospital nursing? Three days a week, only working every third weekend!

SUSAN: Love the quotes! SANDY: Can not believe your skinny picture!

JULIE: Thinking of you & your Dad. Hoping & praying everything goes well.

Worked Monday & Tuesday & had two GOOD   days.

My cousin from North Carolina & I are off to the movies this afternoon & then out to an early dinner. We are still trying to decide what to see but I definately don't want to be depressed. We are leaning towards "Hitched". Hope you all have a great day. Toodles  :genie: JEANNE

Good Morning

Well we are half way through the work week. I always look forward to the weekends but I must admit time just flys by. Found out last night that Bob will be activated by the Fall. He will be sent overseas near Iraq for 3 months :sad1: We have so much going on this year I hope they wait until next January to send him away.

Barb

Barb, sorry to hear about Bob being activated. It will be hard but we will be hear for you!

Jeanne, nice work days! Wow, Bonnie, sounds too good to be true!

Ok, so all of you can send some snow our way. This is getting scary again!

Wednesday weigh in: another 2 off for a total of 40.2. Sounds so unreal. I honestly think that it has sunk in. Those pictures they took of me helped sooooooo much. Thanks for the compliments. I have a funny feeling that we all will be different this time around!!

Heidi, we are in 7119. The dudettes have a sideways cabin. I can't wait to see it! I agree with Heidi. The hillbillies were sooooo funny on the rip cord thing. My gosh, did we ever get a good laugh out of them!

Sorry I was MIA yeaterday. I had to use my computer time to go to the doc about my feet. Jerry stayed home and worked while Kaleigh napped. I have plantar fasciitis. They took x-rays of my feet just to be sure there were no bone spurs, but he doubted it. He gave me an RX for relafen, but I didn't fill it yesterday because of the snow storm. He said that if the pictures come back normal and my feet are still hurting after trying the anti-infammatory med that he will send me to the podiatrist. I am wearing shoes around the house all the time now, instead of slippers and Jerry started icing my right foot last night. My doc has also had this problem, so he knows.

I weighed in and lost 2 more pounds for a total of 9 gone!  21 pounds to go for my goal and them maybe another 5 for good measure.

Julie: Pixie dust to your dad! :wizard: My dad has had a heart attack and 2 angioplasties, the last one they inserted a stent to keep the arteries open. His heart attack was in 1994, the same year we moved into our condo and I had my appendix out. When are you guys available to get together. Our schedule is easier to negotiate.

Bonnie: Too bad you didn't make it to Boston, but it sounds like you did the right thing.

Heidi: Not knowing anything about where you live, the condo sounded really nice! I would notify your creditors about the theft!

Sandy: Enjoy your day with 2 kids and a dog!

Sally: I would love to start working in my yard, but I can't when it is snowing. We are supposed to be below normal temps for the next week or so, like that is anything new! I did order 2 gardens a shrub and some lillies from Spring Hill garden catalog. I have had stuff from them before. The wont come until they can be planted.

Barb: It would be nice if Bob didn't have to ship out in the fall. Here's some pixie dust. :wizard:

Jeanne: Have some movie popcorn for me!

Sue: Love the quotes!

I have paint chip samples taped to a bunch of walls. I am shooting for actual color, not just "there". The bathrooms will be first. Our bathroom is going to be a lilac and so is the laundry room. The powder room is going to be a bold color, maybe raspberry. I don't know about Kaleigh's BR yet.

Sandy: That is awesome! You finally got over that plateau and are on your way down!

I was surprised when I opened the blinds this morning...it had snowed and the ground was covered but it is now 46 and it is almost gone...suppose to be in the 50's today and high 50's tomorrow....

I have an order I have to send in to Springhill before the l6th in order to get $25 off my order...I am ordering sub zero roses, foxglove and something else...forget right off hand.

The host on amazing race said the gay guys were funny so they must be around for awhile.....I also read where the next one will be families and they will be stopping in Denver to interview....there you go Sandy and Heidi....

WOOHOO Amazing Race here we come!!!! We were talking about that today at lunch. We wanted to get some coworkers together as our family!!!

Good job on the weight loss Denine and mom, keep it up!!!!

Time to get back to work.

Sandy and Denine- You are doing awesome!!! I am jealous! Sandy where are these pictures? I want to see them.

Barb

My cousin wanted to see "Million Dollar Baby" & I understand why Hilary Swank won the best actress award. Morgan Freeman who won best supporting actor both acted & was narrator. I won't tell you anything about the movie because I would ruin it for you.

DENINE & SANDY: Way to go girls! :dancer: :dancer:

BARB: So sorry about Bob having to go back in.

It is really cold :cold: - colder then when it snowed.

HEIDI: Talking about more identity thefts on TV. Something about setting up companies & getting personal info. such as Social Security number, DOB, etc.

Hope you all have a good day. Off to the Dentist at 9:30 AM tomorrow for a cleaning & check-up. Toodles  :genie: JEANNE

 :genie: JEANNE

You don't know how often I have thought of it! I just don't like having to supervise people! Most are ok...but those that aren't ruin everything!

Barb-Sorry to hear about Bob being activated...how nerve wracking!

Denine-my cousin will have surgery this summer for her plantar facitis...I wonder if it is the diagnosis of the decade.

Sandy-I'll take the dog!

Off to bed early tonight...ever feel like not getting out of bed for an entire weekend? That's how I feel!!!

Good morning. Tomorrow is my day off thank god for that. I don't think I could deal with another day especially with me having a slight migraine a day this week. My mom and I think we have figured out the source of why I am getting migraines, atleast this week. I think I am not getting enough potassium, so I stopped this morning at a grocery store and got some bananas. If I don't get a migraine today, I will be thrilled!!!

Tonight is Surivor and the Apprentice.

Jeanne - I have heard so much about that movie, now you have my interest. Someone at my work told me that I looked like Hillary Swank.....ya I can't get that!!!!

Hi all! Sorry about being MIA yesterday, but our internet was down until early this morning. Well the Lauter luck keeps getting better!!!! LOL!!!!

Our window is STILL LEAKING thanks to the snow storm. AND today Garry got stuck working a double because someone called in sick. So he went in last night at 10pm and will get home today at 4pm. NICE!

Dad update: He went in yesterday for his cath. and after almost 2 hours they come out and tell us that they couldn't get in. His one side was completely blocked and the other was over 90%. He is scheduled for a triple bypass tomorrow. They said that it could end up a quad if they get in there and see more work to be done. The doctor also told us that the good news what his heart muscle looked strong and good. She said that if it didn't they couldn't do anything and they would just place a call to hospice. SO,he is scheduled for 12pm for them to start and said that it will take AT LEAST 4 hours. They are taking an artery from his upper thigh, arm, and chest. All of this on top of his diabetes, things aren't real good right now. So if there is anymore prayers and pixie dust out there, please send it our way! I will be at the hospital for most of the time on friday, still working on people to watch the kiddos. Oh well..... if I can't find anyone, I'll takethe with me for awhile I guess.

I'll post replies to eveyone alittle later today, but just so you don't think that I don't care about all of you..... good for Sandy and Denine on weight loss, Barb- pixie dust for Bob and hopefully he won't go this fall..... anything can happen...... Sandy WOW on the pictures! I don't think I will recognize you the next time we meet up! Keep it up, you look great, Heidi- gotta love people who can't do their jobs, keep your eye on everything of yours!!! Get that free credit report each year to make sure no one got your info., Bonnie- I have felt that way, but I don't want to get out of bed for the entire YEAR!!! I thought that my year was suppose to get better!!! Jeanne- Did you like the movie at least? I would like to see Hitch.

Well gotta go, I'll try to stop in later!

TTFN

Julie, pixie dust, prayers, love and hugs are sent your way. If I was there, I would take your kids in a heartbeat. Sometimes I feel like my hands are tied when things happen among all of us here. I wish we lived in the same town to be able to help one another! I will be thinking of you tomorrow!

Barb, the picture should be at home in your email.

Sally, Ted and Heidi wouldn't WANT me. No, let me rephrase that. They DON'T want me on their team. I am too big of a baby! Remember Lori teasing me about me being a nervous nellie? I know I couldn't do all the stuff. It would bo sooooo fun though.

Jeanne, Million Dollar Baby, huh? Ted and my 30th anniversary is Tues and I think we will celebrate it this weekend. Maybe a movie and dinner.

Bonnie, I love their dog. Buster is such a sweetie. Sad part of watching him is his age now. He can't hear and I am not real sure about his eyesight. He has a droopy hind end now too. So sad to see a vivacious dog turn into that. I hope I don't have to watch him anymore. It saddens me and makes me think back to when I lost my dog. Still not over it and it has been probably 19 years.

Denine, the doctor is going at it the way mine did. I hope you don't need the surgery. It helps but they didn't tell me the consequences down the road. If you end up at the podiatrist ask him. Remember the shoe store that I went to and he read me the riot act for doing the surgery and I came home crying upset and scared. Well, I don't know if he knows the truth or the podiatrist. That man has some sort of degree in podiatry. I do have bone spurs in both of my feet. They didn't take them off because they say they don't take them off anymore.?? (not sure if that is a statement or questioning the doctor)

Heidi, glad you got the bananas. Doesn't hurt to try, right?

Julie - thinking of you. Many many prayers and Pixie Dust to you, your family, and your dad. :wizard:  :grouphug:
