October 19th Cruisers again and again... Part 2

We can't put up Christmas decorations until Thanksgiving according the the HOA rules, and then they have to be down by January 7th. I LOVE Christmas and seeing all the decorations.

Kaleigh had 2 days with no accidents and 2 accidents today. UGGHH!!!

The Brownies were having a collection of baby stuff at the library for the community care center, so we took a lot of stuff. They were very happy and so was I. My dining room is almost clutter free!

The babysitter comes at 5 PM. Can't wait!

Barb: Glad you are getting all your trip stuff sorted out. Sounds confusing!

Heidi: Your welcome. I am sure I could come up with more ideas if you need them. Don't forget to close off rooms you don't use. We closed the registers in the 2 front upstairs bedrooms and then put those magnetic covers over them. It is COLD in those rooms.

Denine - I do close off the vent in the other bedroom because that window in that room faces south and gets really warm with the sun, but our room and the living room (which also has a south facing window) is so cold. The sun doesn't get in that window though because of the covered porch.

Hang in there with Kaleigh and her accidents, I know how frustrating it can be...especially working with 14, 2 1/2 year olds, at one time. All the accidents use to drive me crazy, I think some of them were doing it on purpose!!!!!!

Okay is it me or is this thread going downhill? There are only 3 daily posters left, Denine, my mom and I. I know we are all busy, but please take the time to at least say hello. If you have time to lurk, then you can at least pop in to say something quick. We are feeling lonely (or atleast I am).

Hi Heidi, Sandy, Denine and all you lurkers

We did get a sprinkling of snow but didn't last.....we were to the all night crop and left at 4....I ran out of things to do.....I got to bed at 4:30 and up again at 6:45.....had breakfast with Barb and Bob on Sunday and then went to Sprint and got Dick a phone. Our contract runs out in Jan so we renewed it for 2 more years and Dick got his phone free and our plan is now 400 minutes (we had 300 before and never used them all) free roaming, free before 9 calling. I thought it would be good for Dick to carry a phone all the time and at DW it will be great to keep in touch. I had to laugh because we went to Walmart with our grandaughter and Dick called her to see where we were in the store.....he said his first call on his phone was in Walmart... Then he waited in the van for us and called our son in Oregon so I think he is going to like having his own phone plus it is a speaker phone so it may be easier for him to hear......

I have a busy day today....have to pack as we leave in the morning for Patti's; clean the house and do laundry. We are taking Barb to Texas Roadhouse since we will leave in the morning and tomorrow is her birthday
I also have to make candy and haven't decided what kind to make.....

Everyone have a Happy Thanksgiving and eat all you want....it is a calorie free day.....

Hi everyone! Just popping in to say hi! It has been a busy weekend! Since we will not see Anna Marie Thanksgiving or the weekend that follows, we decided to decorate for Christmas ths past weekend. We ALWAYS put the tree and decorations up after Thanksgiving, BUT since it is a family thing AND Anna Marie was here this weekend, we put most of everything up. The tree is up but it only has about half the lights on it. I figure we will do the rest after thursday. All of the decorations are up so it's beginning to look alot like Christmas!!!!!

Barb, my SnowWhite cottage is sitting on my table next to the house and it looks great!!!

It was a good weekend in Ohio!!! Ohio State beat Michigan on Saturday, the Cavs beat (I forgot who they played, but it was a great game-- basketball that is!) and the BROWNS WON!!!! They beat Miami 22 to 0!!! Watch out.... It think the pigs are beginning to fly!!!

Went to Fridays for dinner and then saw CHicken Little on Saturday. It was really funny. I laughed the whole time. Kaleigh enjoyed her evening of playing with Katie.

Yesterday, we went to Litehouse to look at Christmas stuff. They usually have a ton of stuff, but they didn't have much this year. It was still fun. Also went to the Salvation Army store to drop off the rest of the stuff in my dining room. It is now free of boxes for the first time since we moved in. We dismantled Kaleigh's crib and put it in the basement. A bittersweet moment for me.

Kaleigh is doing better with the potty again. No more accidents. I think she was testing us to see if we would put her back in diapers.

Going to start baking tomorrow for Thanksgiving.

SUpposed to snow tonight and the next several days. I hope not much.

No Christmas decorations here until after Thanksgiving. I did let Kaleigh watch Rudolph this morning though.

Nothing else going on here.

Sally - I love Texas Roadhouse, they have the best rolls and ribs!!! The ribs fall right off the bone!!

Julie - That was so nice of you to decorate early so Anna Marie could participate. I am sure that is great memories for her. Good to see you post!!

The Broncos won again, this time it was a shut out 27-0. We played the Jets!!! The Broncos are doing great this year. They usually start out good!!!! Looks like we may have a chance at the play off's this year!!!

Yeah, go Broncos!! They are saying that they have a team that is as good as the Superbowl team.....I know they are good but we will have to wait and see.

I haven't done any decorating yet either...still have all my fall things out....

I am packed....not to finish cleaning and I am in good shape.....

Hello!

Home from work and I just realized I forgot to post. I didn't get my email reminders today so I let it slip my mind.

Yummy Roadhouse tonight, for sure one of my favorites. Their food is so good and the prices are reasonable.

Only had 8 girls last night at our Missionette class. Sure was a lot easier! Tiffany and I usually teach 20 3rd and 4th graders and boy can they get wound up! We are having a Christmas party for them at my house, sure hope they are calm!

Mom you are getting so creative with all the little smiley's!!

Glad you liked your house Julie. Funny you should mention that I was just going to ask you about the exchange this year, do we have the dates yet? I had better get on the ball!

Heidi, thanks for speaking up. I am getting lonely as well.

Denine, I loved all your suggestions for Heidi. Wow. Great ideas! How is the potty training going? Our friend was just approached by the doctor this week for hospice and she flatly denied it. She is quite verbal. She said she is NOT going to die in 6 months and that she is going to beat this. Really, if you think about it she is a very brave woman. I heard this could be a very long and difficult death. That is the sad part. Not sure if she realizes it.

Barb, what a hastle with travelocity! I love Texas Roadhouse. TWO'FERS!!! When do you leave for the trip?

Julie, I think you are so sweet for putting up the Christmas decos early so that Anna Marie could participate. How nice!!

I went to the doctor today and had 4 moles or whatever taken off to be check for cancer and had a wart froze on my finger. The moles were a breeze but the wart still hurts. I look like Frankenstein with all my stitches all over my body. I should have made an appt on Halloween!!

Well off to the jewelers. My wedding ring was way too big after I lost weight and I had it resized. I feel naked without it so I am looking forward to getting it back.

WooHoo, today is my last day of work for the week. Although we just found out we can take off 3 hours tomorrow, I can't because that is my scheduled day off. My coworkers are telling me to come in for 2 hours, get 3 hours off and then only take 3 hours of leave instead of taking 8 hours. I think sleeping in is a better choice for me!!!

HEIDI: I get the flu shot every year because I am NOT using my PTO time for illness! I have never had the flu since getting the shot.

SANDY: So sorry to read about Ted's friend. It is such ashame that she won't accept hospice because there are so many things they help with since they know all the resources. I think I will give Bonnie a call today. I haven't heard from here in some time.

DENINE: You are such a domestic goddess - baking already!

I decided to work Thanksgiving since my son is working too & my mother doesn't leave her bed. I just couldn't face cooking for Thanksgiving & eating alone. I also picked up Saturday night 12A-7P since I would have been missing a day's pay but I am looking forward to my early black Friday shopping. I am really looking forward to Christmas. My daughter arrives December 19th until January 9th. Of course, I am scheduled to work Christmas Eve & Christmas Day 12 hours so I am calling out Christmas Eve since that is when we will have our Christmas Dinner.

It was beautiful here over the weekend but now a Nor'easter came through & it is cold & rainy . It has been a beautiful November weatherwise. Have a great week. Miss you all . Toodles JEANNE

Jeanne - I love to go shopping on Black Friday with my mom. That is the highlight of the holiday shopping. Unfortunately we are far away from stores this BF so I will have to miss it. Next year....watch out CO, Mom and I are back!!!!

Good Morning

Feeling kind of down today. My Mom and Dad left for New Mexico today. I stopped and got hot chocolate on the way to work and ended up getting some on my shirt. Got to work and the few decorations that were put up for my birthday were coming down so I ended up taking them all off. Bob was going to take me out for dinner but not sure I want to go.

Prices went down on airfare to Orlando after I bought tickets for the wrong day! I could have gotten cheaper ones for the right day.
