Thank you Heidi for the hug. I really needed it today.

Went down to lunch and thank goodness I managed to keep everything off my shirt. I still have a spot from the hot chocolate though. Right after I got to work I went into the bathroom and scrubbed the spot down. I had this huge wet spot on my shirt like 10 times bigger then the hot chocolate spot I had to wear my coat for like 45 minutes while it S L O W L Y dried. I was dying from being hot. Finally it dried and POOF! : the spot magically reappeared. :rolleyes2

One of the guys I work with bought me a piece of cake for my birthday. It was so sweet of him. I do feel better now.

Wonder if where my Mom and Dad are. They should be almost to Hobbs.

Barb - I always carry Tide to go in my purse, it seems to really work at hiding stains.

Hi guys! First off......

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BARB!!!!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Hope the rest of your day is better!! Hugs to you!!!!

Well, I just finished cleaning up from making about 23# of turkey for Makenzie's class. They were having a Thanksgiving dinner for their lunch and her teacher asked me to make the turkey and the stuffing. So instead of making a whole turkey, I made three 7# plus turkey breasts. Garry put the turkeys on this morning for me at 6am and then I carved the breast and took up the turkey and stuffing and then I helped serve the kids and then helped clean up. They had mashed potatos, corn, stuffing, gravy, turkey, and raw carrots and celery with dip. They also had pumpkin pie, apple pie, and brownies for dessert. They really had a nice time. The office staff and some of the other teachers came in for food and they really liked my turkey so that made me happy. Makenzie's teacher told me I should go into the "party/catering business" because I did such a nice job. She told me that she can't wait to get the Big Guy in her class! I'm tired now, but tomorrow I start making me thanksgiving foods. At least I don't have to make the turkey! I have sweet potato duty and I make homemade pecan pie.

NEWS..... I get my new washer and dryer tomorrow!!!! They are LG front loaders (one of the bigger ones out there so now I can wash our kingsize comforters!!!). It also has a heavy duty "commercial" motor so I know that it will last for awhile, I hope. I really researched the washers and dryers and the LG brand ranks as one of the best with Maytag's neptune. THe LG brand are a little larger then Maytag that all. And with 5 sometimes 6 people in this house, the bigger the better!!

Well, gonna go! I'll be back!! I hope everyone has a super THanksgiving!!

OH YEAH.... ANYONE WANTING TO BUY GIRL SCOUT COOKIES... WE ARE TAKING ORDERS AND WILL SHIP ANYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE $3 A BOX. THE FREEZE REALLY WELL!!!!!!!!! GREAT FOR SNACKIN'!!! The types of cookies are:
Trefoils - shortbread cookie
Thin Mints - chocolate covered chocolate cookie with a minty flavor
Samoas - shortbread type cookie with carmel chocolate and coconut on them
Tangalongs - shortbread type cookie with real peanut butter on top and covered in chocolate.
DO si Does - peanut butter sandwich cookie
Lemon Coolers - LOW FAT lemon flavored cookie rolled lightly in powdered sugar.
All Abouts - shortbread type cookie with a chocolate covered bottom ( like an fudgewich/ elfwich type cookie
Cafe cookies- these are the new cookie this year and they taste like snickerdoodles to me. Some say they taste like gingerbread boys. They are great with a cup of hot coffee or hot tea! Great for dipping!

Sandy, I got your order in so not to worry.......

Denine, Makenzie wants to know if her friend Jerry and her friend Kayleigh and her friend Denine are going to get cookies. I told her that you guys are on a diet like daddy and she told me.... Well, they can cheat on the diet can't they? They are really good cookies mom.

I will be placing the troops order on Dec 1st, so let me know if anyone is interested!!!

OH yeah... I am having my foot surgery on Nov 30th. This should be fun!!!

Ok,I've got to go! I'll be back later. I have to go get a birthday present for Makenzie's friend who birthday party is tomorrow!

Hi Julie, wow, already had Thanksgiving and turning around and doing it again in 2 days. I think it is a great idea for the school! What exactly are you having done for your foot surgery? Ted really wants to get me a front loader washer and dryer but I just can't justify the expense when I am doing fine with what I have. With that said, I am jealous that you have one though!! We were just looking at them this past weekend. We were at home depot with his sister who has one. Now he wants one even more.

Barb, glad the cake brightened your day!

Well, more bad news from the Van Horn's. Ted's uncle just went into hospice. He has colon cancer. His wife has alzheimers and probably doesn't even understand that he is gone or where he went to. He is Ted's dads brother. I will never forget when they went up to the hospice to say their goodbyes to Ted's dad. That was one of the saddest things I think I will ever witness.

Heidi and I will be gone over Thanksgiving. Not sure if we told you guys that. We are going to the cabin again. Ted and I were thinking about not going because of all that is on our plate but the caseworker at the hospital encouraged us to go. So.....we will be gone from Wed to Sat. We will be there with the babies so I look forward to spending time with both of our girls and the babies.

I am off now, so I wanted to say my goodbyes before I left. I did see Julie post but didn't have time to read it, I was so happy to see people posting again.

HAPPY EARLY THANKSGIVING!!!

Popping in to wish everyone a HAPPY THANKSGIVING. I will be thinking of all of you and how thankful I am for our friendship or should I say our Disney Family.

SANDY, TED & HEIDI: Have a great Thanksgiving. Give the babies a kiss from Aunt Jeanne.

JULIE: So good to see you posted. You are just SOOOOOO busy.

Off to work tomorrow. Bonnie & her Mom are going down to Atlantic City for a buffet Thanksgiving dinner. Bonnie & I are going to get together for Black Friday. I wonder if Joyce has off - I think I'll call her. The Disney Dudettes :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: shopping together on black Friday could be a sight to behold.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving - family, friends, food & fun! Miss you all. :grouphug: Toodles  :earsgirl: JEANNE

Happy Thanksgiving (almost) to everyone.

Thank you so much for the Happy Birthday's. I really appreciate our Disney Family!

I had a good Birthday night. Bob, Jaymee, Tiffany, Missy and I went to Red Lobster. The girls got me containers for my scrap book room. (I am a container junkie!) Tiffany got me roses and Bob got me a CD player for my desk at work. Jason and Michelle came up at 10 last night. So my day ended really good. The best part was after I got home I was able to change my shirt! I am going to get a Tide stick. Thanks!!

Happy Thanksgiving a day early since I won't be on tomorrow.

Barb: I did wish you a happy birthday yesterday, but as you know, I lost my post. At least you had a nice day once you got home.

Sandy: You guys can't catch a break. Enjoy your time away with your family!

Julie: WOW! That school doesn't expect much from the parents do they? A whole Thanksgiving dinner? Sounds like it went over well though. Glad you finally got your W&D. I love my front loader!

All my baking is almost done. I am putting together an overnight thing tonight and baking it at my mom's tomorrow.

We will once again be driving to my parents, on a holiday, in a snow storm. The roads are never clean and there are accidents everywhere. The snow has just started to fall here.

Bought Kaleigh a toddler bedding set on e-bay. It is used, but in perfect condition. Can't wait to get it. Bought her a pillow last night at Target and got us another set of flannel sheets for $20.

I lost my pound again this week. I am sure I will find it next week. I am getting on the treadmill this evening after dinner.

Are all 3 year olds obnoxious, or just mine? I hate it when she gets that way!

Can't wait for all the yummy food tomorrow.

No shopping for me on BF. You could pay me enough to go, but it would have to be an awful lot of money. I work Friday and Monday. My shopping day is the day after Christmas!

Hi everyone! I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!!! I ate wayyyyy toooooo much! We had a nice time. We are staying in today and NOT going shipping. I don't like to shop anyways, but this day is CRAZY!!!!

Well, nothing much new here. I'll be back later to talk to myself!! LOL!

Sandy and Heidi, I hope you have a great time up at the cabin!

TTFN

Julie: I was afraid I was going to be talking to myself. Thanks for saving me. Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving.

We had a nice, but long day on Thanksgiving and also ate way too much. But, it was all so good. I want more!

I worked yesterday and then we stayed home the rest of the day.

Went to the liquor store today to buy bourbon and brandy. I need the bourbon for baked beans I am making on NYE. We found the Banfi we love so much at the store. We bought 2 bottles. We haven't seen it there before. Other than that, we stayed home and put up a few Christmas decorations.

We aren't doing anything again tomorrow and then I work on Monday.

Happy Sunday!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Our was great! Even though I didn't get to be with most of my family we still had a great time in the mountains.

Since we did not get to go to Hobbs I planned a "Special Day" I took the girls to get facials and I got my hair cut , then lunch and shopping. Bob hung lights all day. We went dinner at this really nice resturant. Their speciality is Peppersteak, they cook it at your table. Then on to the Nutcracker. I love the Nutcracker. One of the trees I put up each year theme is Nutcracker. We had a really fun day.

Jason is headed home to New Mexico and my Mom and Dad at headed back to Colorado. The roads are suppose to be bad down south where they both need to travel so please say a prayer and pixie dust for them. We called them this morning and they were already on their way home. Jason just left.

Well I had better get started on a project I am doing for work. We are involved in a Stocking decorating contest. I am making Santa's sleigh out of the stocking. If it works I will post a pictrure. :teeth:

Hello all.

Well, it ended up being a horrible weekend. Ted went up to the hospital before we left for the cabin and he and the doctor had to convince her that she will not get better. It was a very bad experience for Ted. Ted, Heidi, Chris and I drove 3 hours to the cabin and when we were about 23 miles out Ted got a call from the doc that our friend accepted hospice. That was a relief but as we sat around the cabin with everyone Ted grew pretty quiet and we had a talk that he was leaving me at the cabin and going back home. I didn't like the idea so I talked to Stacey and she was most gracious and told us both to go home. Bless Heidi's heart she had to go home with my brother and his kids. Picture this 4 adults, 2 tall teens and 3 large dogs going home on Friday in an Expedition. Well, we drove the 3 hours, had dinner and left 4 hours later and drove another 3 hours back to Denver and to the hospital. It was a very long day but it was the right decision. We had Thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant on Thurs and of course the hospital visit. Friday she was moved to the hospice and is 2 doors away from Ted's uncle in the hospice. It has been a very emotional weekend for me. Cry, cry and more cry. Heidi and Chris was so sweet and took us out to dinner last night. Now I have to find it in me to get excited for Christmas. I love the season with the smells and songs and friendship but I can't find that in me this year. I don't want to put up a tree but Ted is demanding that it be put up and I know it is for me.

Gosh, Jeanne, I know this is late but give Bonnie a big hug from me. I miss her. How was your Thanksgiving? Get any goodies shopping with Bonnie?

Denine, you are something else. I wish I had the time to do all that cooking. Ted and I eat out pretty much every meal with the running we are doing.

Barb, sounds like your Thanksgiving went ok. I would love a facial! Prayers to your Mom and Dad for their safe return. We didn't get any snow. Did you?

Julie, if Heidi was here we probably would have gone shopping on BF. That is a tradition with us. Crazy, huh?

Well, off to Armadillo.

Sandy: :grouphug: You guys have been through so much this year. I am so glad your friend accepted hospice. It is the best decision. I am hoping Jerry's dad will accept hospice after the 1st of the year.

Jerry and Kaleigh got hair cuts today. Kaleigh looks much better. She had about 3 inches cut off. DOn't worry, it is still long.

I forgot to mention that my 12 year old nephew (13 in February) will be taking the ACT in January. His teacher thought it would be a good idea to track his progress as he gets older.

Work tomorrow.

Barb: Hope your parents get home safely. You will have to post a picture of you stocking.

BIGS HUGS to you Sandy and Ted! Like Denine said, you guys have been through soooooooo much this year! I sure hope that next year will be a whole lot better. I know with everything going on, it is hard to think about goodwill and cheer for Christmas, but you need to for your sanity!

Auntie Heidi and Auntie Denine (and any other of my aunties that are out there)..... my mommy is placing the cookie orders on Tuesday night. The cookies are really good......... and they freeze good too!!! Brownie/Girl Scout cookies are awesome! Thanks and I love you all!! Makenzie

Well, I have my foot surgery on Wednesday. This should be interesting since I am not allowed to walk on it for the first 48hours and I can't get it wet for 2 weeks!! With 3 kids, school activities, girl scout cookie order are due, I still need to Christmas shop, and my father's retirement party on Saturday...... I could be in for a rough few weeks!!!

Barb, I hope your parents got home safely! Let us know! I can't wait to see pictures of your stocking contest! Sounds adorable!!

Well, gonna go. I'll be back later today.....

Wow....love the new look.......

We got home at 4 and had a good trip back....ran into snow on this side of Clovis where Jason is stationed for about 40 miles but it wasn't bad and then came out of it and was clear all the way home. We called Jason when we stopped to eat and he was getting new tires on his car. Then he called us when he was on the way to see how the roads were and we told him ok so he said he felt a lot better about his trip home. We are going to miss seeing him as he said he won't be back to the Springs until Christmas and we are leaving the l6th.

Sandy, :grouphug: to you....sorry for all the problems you are having at the present...somehow at Christmas they seem even worse.....I will be glad to see the new year too....this hasn't been a really bad year for us but it has had a lot of health problems we aren't use too.

Happily when Dick went to the doctor he said his lungs looked and sounded clear and he is doing better.... :cool1:

We had a great Thanksgiving......I made the dressing and Ken did the turkey in a deep fryer. WE also had ham, lots of food and 7 pies....one of them was made from powdered sugar, cool whip and I forget what else but everyone really liked it. Patti's daughter's mother- in-laws brought it....they came from out of town and Toni cooked the ham in the motel in a crock pot...it was a Honey baked ham and she did all the other cooking she brought in the motel too. Leslie said she tried to convince her that we had plently of food but she insisted on bringing things....

We scrapbooked, played cards, games, shopped Hobby Lobby for 3 hours Wed and 2 more on Friday...they have a big store and have all kinds of things....I got 7 Christmas gifts on Friday and Saturday a few of us went shopping again at a couple of their cute gift stores. I bought myself a Willow angel nativity set....and a couple more Willow angels...

I got Dick a cellphone for Christmas and he wears it all the time....does much better than I do about keeping it with him and he seems to really enjoy getting calls....our son called Thanksgiving and talked to the family....he is going to be in Fla when we are and is meeting us for New Years Eve.....

I am getting my Christmas gift today....Dick is having HDtv installed since I liked tivo so much I guess he thinks I need HDtv too. This has been a strange year for gifts since we are going to be gone and I figured Dick might as well have his phone with all our traveling and they have to put the HDtv in and Dick figured I might as well be enjoying it before we leave. We leave in less than 3 weeks.... :hourglass sure does fly!

Everyone enjoyed the kits I put together for them to make...Linda and her family was there......Barb and Linda's son and families were missing this year and his wife said he was moping around Thanksgiving because he missed the family and she promised him next year they will be there. There was 22 of us and l2 were missing.....

It is about l in the morning....when we got home I went to bed early but woke up at l0 and again at l2 so decided to read the BB. Several of the ones at Patti's was or had been sick so I drank Airborne the whole time and need to drink some now but it is packed in my suitcase so will get it out in the morning.....

The Tide on the go is really good Barb.....Criss used hers already and believe it or not I haven't had to yet. I carry it in my purse just in case....

Belated Happy Thanksgiving to Denine, Sandy, Heidi, Joyce, Susan, Julie, Bonnie, Jeanne and anyone I forgot.....and an early Merry Christmas.... :grouphug:

Julie - is it too late to put in my order for girl scout cookies? If not, I would like 1 box of thin mints and 1 box of samoas. I love thin mints, but I am trying to be good. (I need to lose a few pounds before the cruise!!!)

Well it was a rough weekend, many highs and lows but we made it through. This holiday season is going to be a bad one.

My dad was just not right on Wednesday and it was so sad to see him that way. I am glad he went back home, but after all that has happened this year I really wanted to spend the holiday and the weekend with my parents.

My weekend consisted of, ATVing and paint ball. I have bruises and welts all over my legs from the paintball. Whoever said that paintball doesn't hurt is crazy, but I would do it again in a heart beat...it was exhausting but fun!!!! Came home Friday night sore all over, who would think that riding on the ATV would be so painful the next day, my muscles were so sore. I enjoyed spending time with the babies, but still wished my mom and dad were there. I missed them a lot there. I really missed my dad when we went to the National Forest to go ATVing. I did give my uncle and my boyfriend a heart attack there though!!!! Atleast I found out they care!!!

At the cabin I did find out how much I hate the game of Cranium. If I am ever asked to play that game ever again I am going to run far far away!!!

Mom - call me when you set up the tree. I will come over and help you decorate the tree and staircase.

Glad you all had a great Thanksgiving.

Hi guys, popping in to say hello.

Welcome home Sally. I loved your post. It was so informative. Ted thinks about HDTV, maybe after all this is over we will join you. The cell phone is the greatest invention. I sure took advantage of it on this Panama Canal trip. I was able to say goodbye to the girls using it and then to say hello when we docked. Also, when a bunch of us cruisers went to WDW early Dec a couple of years ago, we kept in contact with everyone.

Denine, I hate the thought about poor Jerry and his dad going into hospice. It just isn't easy on anyone. Yesterday Louise was saying her Catholic prayers (sorry, I'm not Catholic and don't know the correct terms) and was saying, hurry. Man, it is so tough to see. When you said that Kaleigh got 3" cut off I was in shock but as long as it is still has the curl then ok. Honestly though, I bet it really looks great. I know when Graci cut hers it looked wonderful.

Julie, thanks for the hug. You still haven't answered my question. What kind of foot surgery? Sounds like you will be getting a cast. Unfortunately, I had my foot surgeries over the holidays as well. I tried to get everything done before hand. Remember that Heidi? I asked Lori if they were selling Girl Scout cookies too and she replied no. She didn't even realize that Ohio was selling.

I had an emotional day at LA Weight Loss today and decided it would be best for me to be put on hold. I just can't worry about food and everything else too. In fact, they really encouraged me to be put on hold. They are so kind to me.

Heidi did in fact come home with welts and bruises. If I stayed at the cabin I would not have played paint ball. I am not into pain. lol

Well, the Doctor removed a mole or whatever from me last Monday and it came back positive for cancer but he said he got it all and not to worry. I pretty much knew that when I got older that I would have that problem being faired skinned and burn easy. At least the other 4 were ok.

Better run and cook dinner. Ted and I will be eating at home for the first time in about a week. Can't wait to sit down to a glass of milk and a home cooked meal. Mmmmm.

Mom - that is so sad about Lou. I really want to go see her, but I am scared and just think that I can't handle it. Do you want to put up the tree tonight? I would love to help decorate if you don't mind.

Chris and I decided that instead of giving each other gifts for Christmas, we are going to combine that money and buy a vacuum cleaner!! WooHoo, just what I always wanted for Christmas!!!!! Oh well, it's something we need.

When should we do our secret santa gift exchange?

Good Morning

Sandy you have really had a challenging year. I am ready to leave 2005 behind! Heres to 2006 being a better year for all of us.

Julie- What kind of surgery are you having? Why are you selling Girl Scout cookies this time of year? I thought nation wide sales where in January.
