October 19, 2008 4 day Bahama - anyone else?

Hey everyone!
Just checking in. The last couple of months have been crazy. We are really in need of a vacation. Glad to see more Disers are going to be onboard. Once we get past DS 1st birthday party we will be able to concentrate on the cruise. We were able to get OKW for a couple of days after the cruise and are going to do MNSSHP on the 23rd. Anyone else staying after the cruise?
Dyerneeds- we were also looking to do the Oct 24, 2009 cruise, but we were going to wait til we were onboard to book. We wanna be with B.O.B!!!!:yay:

Hope to catch up with everyone soon.

96 more Days!!! (I think that is it)
I'm actually flying down on the 17th and spending that Saturday at Universal then the cruise 19-23. We are doing the MNSSHP on the 23rd too!!! Then Friday and Saturday at Disney and leave for home on Sunday. That will be such a sad day.
This summer has gone by so fast. The other member of the clan (my DS) is acutally in Hawaii right now. I think when she gets back we can really start planning. I can't wait.

We are not going into Naussau either. We plan to stay over one night and do MNNSHP on the 23rd also.

DW and I --- Can't wait -- esp after a hectic Summer here at the Jersey shore. We're meeting friends at BCV for 3 nights after our cruise. Scott

We will also be on this cruise...it's our first time on the boat for me, my dh and my 4 year old but our 3rd WDW trip in 2 years..I am so excited! Is anyone planning to do the fish extender thing? My dd would love that...

Welcome aboard, Sam08223 and Queenbee99 traveling parties! You have been added to the roll call.

Well, we got a call from DVC today. Our pre-cruise stay at AKV in a concierge studio is being changed-- AKL is doing some unexpected construction (or so we're told) and the room will be unavailable. They're making the arrangements to get us to AKL for the Susnset Safari event on Saturday and we'll still have concierge access at our new resort-- BWV-- but will have to go to the BWI side to get to it. As long as we're on vacation, guess it doesn't really matter the exact location ;)

For those past cruisers that aren't in a suite on the Wonder, don't forget that we hit the 90-day mark for online reservations at 3am (eastern) on Monday, July 21.

we made it official today.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
booked the cruise and looking forward to a "WONDERful" time.

great group of people.:grouphug:

we'll be staying at wdw till sunday after the cruise.(not sure where yet)

We rec'd a mailing for booking excusions, Palo, etc beginning 7/21. Anyone up to anything special? We're thinking Palo Brunch -- open for other suggestions? Tuesday the 21st must be 90 Days 'til CRUISING!

Just paid off our cruise this morning, but since it's our 1st cruise we have to wait till 75 days out to book excursions. I think that's August 5th if I figure it right. If I'm wrong, I'm sure I'll still get the message on the site that says I'm not eligible yet.:rotfl2:

heres a pic so you know what we look like..:thumbsup2

Great picture, Dyerneeds and Tart Annihilator!

DH and I usually don't have any pics of us together on any vacation... I'll have to see what I can dig up to post.

So, did everyone that could book at 90 days out get the reservations that you wanted? Yes, I'm one of the crazy few that set my alarm for 3am (eastern), logged in on the laptop near the bedroom, and got our Palo dinner and brunch reservations. Later in the morning when I logged back in to print the reservations (from another computer--- laptop doesn't currently have access to a printer), I also reserved a waverunner for each of us for an afternoon jaunt on Castaway Cay. Don't know if we'll keep that reservation--- does anyone know if there is somewhere in Nassau/Atlantis that we could rent wave runners?

Cheers!

Why 3 am Eastern if you are in Virginia. I thought you could start booking at midnight on your date (105, 90 & 75 days). If I'm wrong I'd like to know cause our 75 days out comes August 5 and I want to get on asap to get our ressies. I was planning on staying up till midnight. don't know if I could stay concious long enough at 3 am to do anything right on the computer.:rotfl2:

Here is a picture of my 21 yr old who will be with us on the cruise.

After a little bit of research today, I found out that since our last cruise, Disney now opens up online spa/dining/excursion reservations at midnight (eastern)-- it used to be midnight (pacific-- thus 3am eastern). However, there does seem to be a lot of people that have issues accessing things right at midnight-- like the website is overloaded or something.

Okay, I hope this web link works okay to display a pic of DH (John) and I-- taken in Kotor, Montanegro in October of 2006.

Thanks for the research to clear this up. I will probably stay up and keep trying from midnight on. It's better for me than going to sleep and then getting up at 3 am.

DH and I are trying to figure out how to get to/from the port. We don't like using the DCL transfers from the Boardwalk because they get to the port so late. Anyone else having thoughts of either renting a car or taking a towncar/limo? Since it's just the two of us, and there are a lot of other couples on this trip, anyone interested in sharing a ride to/from the Port?

Cheers!

I keep bugging my DSis to log in and get our reservations. She has cruised before so I think she can do those for us. She will be at my house so I might have to tie her to a chair and not let her leave until they we have a couple. I don't have a lot but we do want to do Palo and I think I want to try the sting ray think at CC. I think my DS (10) would like it. He has petted and fed rays before at Underwater Adventures in the Mall of America but they fed them with a long pole. I think it would be better feeding this way.

We are all flying in on that Friday the 17th and renting a car. I want to get over to the boat early. Can you tell I'm a little excited? I'm on the boards all the time just reading. This is my first cruise so there are so many unknown but I still can't wait.
