I think my dd is the only little girl in the bunch...Are there any disers that have dd's? Mine is 4...I think I need to get some more boy fish extender things!

Seven so far. If anybody else has a scout participating in the fish extender exchange, please reply to this and add yourself to the list so we can get more scout patches to trade. And there have to be several electives the cub scouts can check off while on the cruise...I'll have to review those sections of the manuals before we go

We aren't going in on the fish extender, but would like to go in on the patch trade.


Got a call from AAA this afternoon that our docs were in and I went to pick them up!

Do you have to be a scout to get those patches? I wondered if I called my Boy Scout office could I get some here for ya'll?

It's totally optional - don't feel you have to! DH got our District patch to pass out, which is a small round one with a pretty picture of a bridge on the Columbia River Gorge. Anything will work!

Has anyone else heard the buzz about another change in ports? I was reading that the 10/5 and 10/26 4-night cruises have been changed to Nassau/Castaway Cay/Castaway Cay. They have been confirmed through DCL. The general answer they were given was that it was either predicted weather or security. My suspicion is that it is more fuel efficient to stay in port that drift at sea for a day. The OP on the 10/5 cruise stated that they were originally changed to our current schedule and then changed again in the last couple of days. Here's hoping.

As for room numbers for the fish extender we are cabin 6319 BUT I am holding my breath that we will get an upgrade to at least Cat. 4. WHAT!?!? It could happen. Maybe????

Thanks for posting this -- my boys will be happy since they've been eager to see Beverly Hills Chihuahua. I think that will be something we let them do on their own!

You don't have to be a scout or scout leader to purchase most patches. The only ones that require some id have to do with things like Eagle or Order of the Arrow. Most scout offices have a scout shop, and the folks there are generally very friendly and helpful (and kind, courteous...sorry, Scout joke ).

I wonder why they changed the 5th and 26th but not the 12th and 19th? Hmmm.

I can't quite decide how I feel about not having a day at sea. We were kind of looking forward to that...after all we're on a cruise. Shouldn't we, well, cruise some? OTH I love snorkeling and so two days at CC would be fun.

That could cause us other problems though. We had originally booked a dolphin excursion at Blue Lagoon separately from DCL since they had sold out before we even got a chance to sign up. When they made the current change I tried to reschedule but Blue Lagoon had nothing available on the new day. After a few moments of panic I found that you can do just the dolphin encounter at Atlantis, so I scheduled that. Now if they change it again, who knows if I'll be able to get things re-re-scheduled!?!

That won't happen unless they bump us from our Cat 4 to a Suite.
