No kidding huh? And they could just change it all again just because-and never tell us about the change.

I love Disney but, this is pretty poor customer service IMO.

They also keep changing the port times for Nassau too.

I have been on 9 cruises and I have never seen so many changes.

Castle Creations.. can't you just go on BOTH cruises? Hate to see you "jump ship" but know you will have a great time on the 7 day trip. Congratulations!

I've been trying to post pictures but can't seem to get it done. My computer is blocked out of photo bucket, (shhh! I'm at the office) so that could be why I'm blocked. I can't see some of the pictures you guys have posted as well.

But I was able to change my avaitar and put in a jpg picture of myself and my son on a previous Disney trip a couple of years ago. Not the one I wanted to post but at least you guys will know what we look like. (Though my son is about as tall as I am. now) Because how are we going to recognize each other?

And all this changing of schedules is making my head spin and I haven't even made any reservations yet! I though we were going to end up with a "Formal pirate night"

I certainly hope all these tropical storms get it out of their system because I'm still kinda chicken to sail. I guess I will be the one carrying around my big round life preserver! Hey maybe that is how you can recognize me!

Anyone staying at MCO airport the night before the cruise?

And we got a great rate with MMY for Sports after the cruise. Wanted POFQ but was told that is was all sold out!

Formal (aka dress up) night is CC night.....the last night? So now we have to dress up for dinner and then run back and pack our luggage so that it is ready for pickup by 11p? What brainiac came up with this plan?!?

DH and I were saying the same thing! And go to a show??? I'm glad I have already seen Golden Mickeys.

IMO a nice relaxing day at sea would have made a nice last day. But what do I know? I'm just the paying customer.

Okay, I just called DCL again. They told me that Pirate Night is Nassau night. The agent said this was now finalized.

We aren't sailing on the October 19th cruise with you all....We had a change of plans...
I just scored a room on the 7 nite Western...yahoo!!!!

How formal is formal night? and if we opt out, not go formal (it's just me and my son and he doesn't like to dress up anyway) do we have to eat in our room?

Hey Snowball! The formal night on the shorter cruises aren't as formal as on the longer cruises. A lot of people will be more dressy casual. We aren't dressing up either, but we're going to eat at the buffett resturant instead of the main dining room that night. I'm not sure anyone really cares, but I'm one of those people who think the dress code is there for a reason so if we're not going to follow it we should somewhere else. That's just me though. Either way, you're not required to hide out in your room.

With all of this nonsense of changing the schedule, how does that effect the show schedule and other events on the ship. I have been looking at some of the posted Navigators and trying to get an idea of what I want to do each day, we booked the 2 excursions through DCL so I am not worried about that, but what about the other "stuff"?

Heads up: I'm the manditory type A, planner and schedule keeper on board for our sail date. Should anything not happen on time or at the previously reported location I WILL KNOW. Needless to say this change does not make me very happy. The upside, my DIS buddies have updated me in enough time to create a Plan C. D, E, . . .

No grandkids here. DD & her DH are both cops, her at a local college & him in Allentown, and don't want kids. DS just turned 21, has a girlfriend who just started college, so we may be quite old before we have any. We are fine with this. DD doesn't hate kids, she just knows the responsibility that comes with them, since she was 13 1/2 when her DB came along.

If we need a kid fix we just go to Disney!

Hello David , I have not played baseball but I am in flag football. I did play softball last year though . I am going snorkeling on the island and I am going to look for Mickey Mouse under the water. I like the idea of parasailing, sounds fun. Hope you have a great time. I am not sure if we are going to do that . Is the cruise a birthday present? What grade are you in? I am in fifth grade. I turn eleven two days before Christmas.

I am going to practice, talk to you soon. We have 41 days till we leave Colorado.

Good to see the kids on-line! I will try and get my son to the boards soon to meet you guys. It sounds like we have alot of boys about the same age. My son is 11 and plays baseball, basketball, and rides his dirt bike and 4 wheeler. We have been to disney 8 times in the past 5 years. His favorite ride is "Test Track" and Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. On our last trip we were very lucky to meet a member of the "Dream Team". Ask him about it! It was fun! And we finally received our "Passports" yesterday!!! So I feel more comfortable about getting off the boat at Nassau! Hope everyone is getting their reservations straightened out with the changes. I think by the time we finally arrive in Nassau I'll be ready for some "Land" time! I was reading all the SPA reviews and can't get over all the reports for sales pitches for products. So I'm not sure that I am going to go to the spa

I have two sons 10 (Sebastian) and 8 (Nicholas). I will have them check in on the board as soon as I tell them about the cruise. Although, my older son seems to have already figured it out. He says he has seen me on line quite a bit looking Disney Cruise stuff. My DH also announced right in front of my son that I had received a phone call from DCL stating that Pirate Night was Nassau night --duh I guess he forgot that we hadn't yet told the kids. BTW, this was my return call that I was promised when the DCL rep I called last week couldn't tell me when Pirate night was as the itinerary was not yet final.

I'm a bit confused about Ocean Quest ?? Ocean Lab?? Is Ocean Quest just the name of the "game/activity" that you can steer the ship? and is it just a part of the Ocean Lab? And do you think they will have guitar hero for Ocean Lab age kids, or is that only for "Stack" age kids. What do the Pre-Stack age kids do? So what should my 11 year old son expect from the shipboard activities?
