Hello All!

I hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend. We got our luggage tags for WDW today, so the kids are very excited. Their still bummed that school starts on Tuesday though.

Regards,
Pete

You too, Pete! We started school two weeks ago.

Hello everybody,

Does anyone know approximately what time we leaving the ship on oct 24th?
I read that we will be at the port at 7.30am but I have no idea how long the disembarking process will be.

I need to book rental car to go to hotel in DTD and will go to either MK or EPCOT afterwards. Also I have to decide which park we will go since our tickets are not hopper. If we leaving the ship at noon then I can't go to MK since it won't be enough time to spend only half day in MK.

Thanks!

Hello everyone!!

We've had some crazy things going on here and finally, finally, I've had a chance to relax because we've got it all sorted so we can DRIVE from Miami to Cape Canaveral.. yeah!! So so so excited.

You know when you are waiting for your vacation to be sorted, and when it finally IS you can sigh in relief? Yes.. we've crossed that line and can now finally be in "THERE"S GOING TO BE A VACATION!!" mode.. :).

I see some of you have gotten your tags -- do you HAVE to do the online check=ins before getting the tags in the post?? Just wondering..?

Happy Labour Day weekend to all of yous :) and see you on the ship in little more than a month.

Is anyone staying at the Courtyard? Fancy a little meet up the night before?

Trying to bring as little as possible so I can do some good ol' shopping :).. we'll see.

xoxo,
Sue

They try to have the whole ship cleared by 9am. It will only be later than that if there was a problem.

As long as it's a multi-day ticket, I'm pretty sure you don't need to decide before you get to the park. If it's just a single day, I'd probably just wait and buy the ticket when I got there.

Hi Sue,

No, I don't think you have to do online check-in before getting your tags. I think on our last cruise we were a little late in checking in and still received our tags.

Pete

Thanks Pete!!

We're all the way over here in Aberdeen, UK so it may take some time getting here..

Just booked the Couples Villa now.. Very very excited!!!

Good Morning All,

Was just curious if everyone has booked their Cozumel excursions? We are still on the fence on what to do. I am pretty sure we will be spending the day at Chankanaab National Park, but cannot decide if we should purchase tickets before hand. Can you buy just an admission ticket for snorkeling and hanging out or does everything come packaged around their dolphin swims? I have checked out their website and it talks about snorkeling, but I didn't see anything about just buying access for snorkeling. My DW and oldest son would love the Dolphin swim, but don't think my other two would get much out of it. I just want a place to sit in the sun and have some coronas and margaritas!

Regards,
Pete

We booked the dolphin push, pull swim for Cozumel. DS10 and DS7 are really looking forward to it!

I booked the Cozumel Dune Buggy excursion, but not through Disney. Disney had an age limit that would not allow my nephew to go. He is 4. Booking directly he falls into their age allowance. Looking forward to it!!

Since you have kids... How is the upper bunk.. Is it easy to get up and down from for a 7 year old. DD would think it would be so cool to sleep there. Not even sure if they would assign us a room with a bunk.

I think your DD would be fine. The youngest we've had sleep up there was a 7 year old and they had absolutely no problems. Just make sure your stateroom host/hostess is aware that she intends to sleep on the upper bunk, otherwise they will automatically prepare the lower bunk each night. ;)

Providing the ship has no problems clearing customs, DCL usually begins allowing passengers off the ship about 7:30 a.m. They require everyone to be out of their staterooms by 8 a.m. and work hard to ensure that the last passengers are off the ship by 9 a.m.

YEAH... Glad that things finally worked out and you are back in track for vacation!!!

DD and I went out to buy a new supply of our favorite Sunscreen Ocean Potion and CVS no longer carries it :headache:. Ugh... Now have to do a search or order it online.

I see some of you have gotten your tags -- do you HAVE to do the online check=ins before getting the tags in the post?? Just wondering..?

The tags we got were for the WDW portion of the trip, the Magical express from MCO to the WDW resort. I believe they don't print the cruise docs until 35 days before the sailing, but that date is coming up quickly. So by next weekend some of you should have your Cruise Documents and really making this real.

Pete - DH is going to do the Mexican Cooking School and DD and I will do the Cozumel beach trip, Which are both in the same location, so when DH is done he can come out and spend some time with us. The beach and cooking school both have received good reviews. DD would have loved to do the dolphin exerision and we looked at Dolphinears Kids but found it so expensive for what it was. I have done a dolphin swim before and really did not enjoy it, since I could not wear contacts I could not see a thing.

Angie, I saw you posted under the URGENT thread... Did you follow all those events this morning?? I did... I couldn't pull myself away from the computer. I kept checking for minute-by-minute updates... since that was about how it was going there for a bit. I cried when I thought about what that must be like to have all of your money and passports stolen. I cried when I thought they weren't going to be able to go. I cried when I found out they could go. And boy did I cry when they made it onboard with only 7 minutes to spare!! Everyone should read this thread! It is a lesson in what bad people are out there, and a reminder to take extra precautions, and how a little pixie dust (OK, a whole heck-of-a LOT, here) can go a LONG way... and how it's all about that special brand of Disney MAGIC!!!

We did this when Leah was four. I forget the name of the company we used. It was a lot of fun! Of course, you know that or you wouldn't have booked it. LOL

That's a good question. Our kids are old enough to enjoy either or both, but neither dh nor I give a hang about petting a dolphin. He's more of a snorkel and then drink kind of guy. I'll do whatever except drink (don't like beer and most mixed drinks give me a headache-poor me). Like Missum, we have some other concerns to address before I can focus on excursion planning. Last time we cruised, the vendors in port were anxious to make a deal so no pre-planning was really necessary. I don't remember how many ships were in port that day. I do know there will be four including ours this time.

Along with making excursion plans, I will be checking on line for the location of a pharmacy. My best friend from high school asked me to get her some Retinal-A cream. I got her some when I was in Costa Rica a few years ago, and it was definitely cheaper there.
