Does anyone know offhand what time you might expect to get to Port when you stay at the airport Hyatt the night before and use Disney transfers?:confused3

I am just curious, since I am hoping to secure a Palo brunch once I get on the ship (in 9 weeks!!).

Hi Ann,

I found this thread last night... Looks like you would get to the port about 10:30am.

I'm just starting to think about door decorations...maybe. Does anyone know of a good deal on sheets of magnet paper? I think the last time I bought it, I used an Ebay seller. The price was for cheaper than what I would pay in the craft store with a 40% coupon but the sheets were really thin. Usable but thin.

How are those FE's coming along? I'm thinking about creating a new one. The one I made for the last cruise is kind of ugly. Or maybe, I'll use it again. At least no one would be tempted to steal it.

I like the idea of letting the kids go swimming once we get on the ship. As far as I know, we don't have anything better to do. I just thought of something horrible. Oldest ds is now too tall for the Mickey Slide. How will I break the news? :rolleyes1

How much do they enforce the min age limit for the slide. My DS is 3.5, but a great swimmer. He'll be bummed if he can't go down the slide. He loved the 'big kids' slide at DLR last week...

Monica - I saw a post where someone found a good deal on printable magnetic paper at walmart.com, but I haven't looked. I got mine for our last curise at officemax for $15/5 sheets. I have 2 sheets left and had already created several magnets for the previous cruise. Luckly some of them I can reuse.

I am no where with my FE. I had good intentions of working on it last weekend, but had to take a quick trip up to Seattle, so that has moved it to hopefully this weekend.

BTW... I have posted new spreadsheet and web verison on the Yahoo group. I will do a FE update shortly.

My personal experience - On both cruises, my daughter was asked by the CM at the top of the slide how old she was. It only happened to her, not my boys. So, I don't know how consistently CM's ask the kids. I imagine the smaller they are or the younger they appear, the more likely they are to be asked their age. I would be interested to read the replies if you asked this on the main board.

On our first cruise, my son had just turned six (and he is big for his age) a cast member at the top of the slide asked him how old he was also. Hard to say how they judge that.....

Thanks Laura - I'll check out the website w/ the kids & let you know. My DS does want to get a costume & then also wear it for Halloween. I'm wondering if DD would like it once she sees the skirt one - she's very girly also. She already told me she wants to be a princess for Halloween - I'm debating on doing that & just bringing that on the cruise instead. I'll leave that up to her I guess.

Glad to hear we're not going to be the only ones at the pool - I'll look around for all the dads alone w/ the kids to find everyone!! So, quick lunch then a dip in the pool! I don't know if the kids will wear their bathing suits onto the ship - don't know if I want my son's in the boarding pic - but we'll just hop in one of the restrooms & get changed.

Just saw the ticker & it's at 2 months & 2 days:banana::banana: So very hard to believe how fast it's going now - sees like it's been forever since we booked it!

Where can I find the Age and Size limitations for the Mickey Slide?

NM... I found it.

"To use the slide, children must be between the ages of 4 and 14, with a minimum height of 38 inches and a maximum height of 64 inches. "

Oh well, if he can't go on the slide we'll just stick to the Goofy Pool :goofy:

I'm trying to determine what approach do I want to take with my magnets. I'd like to purchase the magnet paper and print myself, but wondering if that will be more stressfull than it's worth. I'm sure Kinkos will charge me an arm and a leg to assist.... Other option is to print on card stock and glue magnets on the back... I want to get started though so I'm not running around last minute....

Angie,
I sent you a PM about the graphic, not sure if you saw it yet. I'd like to use it for my FE gifts, but don't know if we can have 'Disney' printed on something (due to Trademark issues) Wanted to see if you could post a version of the graphic that said DCL instead of Disney? Or if anyone who is a wiz with Photoshop could do this for me? TIA!

I wish they would let me go. I am only 63 inches. What if I get lots of botox before the cruise? :lmao:

Don't let printing on Magnetic paper scare you... If you can print on regular paper you can do it on magnetic paper. I first printed what I wanted on regular paper and lined up everything so I could get multiple magnets on one sheet and then did the same thing with Magnetic paper and cut out each magnet.

Hi guys -- Quick Question: If you got a gift from the cruise, would you rather have Caribbean/Relaxing music or Photos of destinations/the ship's sights, etc ...

Still deciding what I'm doing for FE, as you can see..

Yes, we are wearing our Swimsuits on board. We did that when we went the last time too. It was pretty handy although we didn't actually swim. DD was a bit tired..

I'm so sorry, Kim, but I no longer have the original graphic (without the text) saved. :(
