:goodvibes I just made my final payment for the cruise. I am a little disappointed though because there are no Palo brunch or high tea reservations open and only table of 2 dining for Palo (we have friends coming with us). What is the likelyhood that times will open for Palo Brunch/Tea and larger Palo tables?

Thanks

ajtour - congratulations on being paid in full. As for Palo's eveyone sayes that generally 1/2 of the reservations are held for when you board the ship. As for the dinners of larger tables, you and your friends should book for the same time and then make the request for connecting tables.

sounds good Penny. Any particular description I should offer to the 'right guy' .. if I see one I like on the street and I feel particularly brave, I might shout it out :).

Sue,
I know it is funny (even to me!) for me to be advertising that I want a Scottish boyfriend.... It's weird, but I really do! What if I actually met a guy who was right for me because I was on a DIS board?!? WOW Crazy idea! I'm 38. I love animals. I love city and country life. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty in the earth, for that's where life comes from. I have a Celtic spirit and feel a pull across the pond. I do not have an aversion to sheep! (That's probably a good quality) I think they are great. I think a guy should have a rugged quality about them, but be able to look nice dressed up. They should take pride in their self and use good hygiene. I think a kindness in spirit is very important. I have a love for all music.. well.... not rap. I love learning about other cultures and enjoy traveling and exploring. I am atracted to nery guys (computer geeks and what not) with high intelligence, but who are cute and rugged in their spare time. I love cars.

I don't know what to say... Other than I had to end a relationship that spanned 13 years because he failed to nurture what we had. On a very personal note, he forgot how to treat me like a lover, a woman, and even a friend at the very end. I always knew he was married to his work, but there used to be a balance, but then it became all work. It's sad, even for him because he has no joy in life, just a compelling need to work more. I still love this man and part of me always will. He was the one I thought I was destined to spend my life with. I jokingly refer to this as the relationship that had been on life support for awhile... it finally flatlined. Here I am, sad, but still living and breathing. I'm working and finishing my degree in college. A little older than most. Some opportunities have closed for me, but I believe others will open. Good things are still out there... You just have to have a little pixie dust (Ok. Maybe A LOT) and just BELIEVE! :flower3:

Lucky1,

Thanks for the help on Palo...gives me some relief. My DH and I sailed 10 years ago for a 3 day quick cruise and did not get into Palo. :goodvibes

We sailed 10 years ago as well. We did do Palo's dinner but had to stand in line when we got on the ship.

How do we get involved in the Fish Extender program? I think my kids would love this.

:)

ajtour - You can send me a PM or get on to the yahoo group and post your information, that is a private group. You can also see the list of those participating as well

Names of travelers, ages of the kids and if you know your stateroom.

QOTD: Are you particular about which stateroom number you're getting/where it's located etc....?

We requested the same stateroom as we got the last time and even that time I was reading over my passporter and DISBoards to make sure my room was OKAY.

We loved where our room was vis-a-vis the laundry room and the stairs and the 'secret' deck so.... it was perfect for us..

What about you..? (Please don't feel you have to share your room NUMBER in your responses!).

We are cruising with two of our kids and their families. They are each in a Cat 11 and we are in a Cat 6. Their two rooms are next to each other and our room is across the hall. That way we can have the grand kids over to our room to look out on the veranda. We can also beat on each other's door to get them up and going in the morning. :rotfl2:

Sue - Probably not since we booked Cat 12 GTY. We looked for a cruise that had a lot of availability at the time of booking, so there is a chance to be bumped upwards (because there is no way to go lower catagory than what we have ;) ). DH loves to say that we are in "Steerage". So now I am at the mercy of Disney to pick our room. We decided we would be happy with what ever they picked for us, because we will be on the cruise.

dcannon101 - :rotfl2: great idea on saving money with the family. Of course you could hae the Grandkids in the room all the time

We are on the 7th floor by the elevators in the front I think. I know front is not the right word, but since my GP got rid of his boat I have lost all my lingo.

As far as on board plans we have Palo ressies on the 4th night, but I have no idea what else we will do. Happy planning everyone.

Hmm. The first priority for us is that we have a category 6 room for dh and me with a category 11 across the hall for the kids. Second most important is deck location. We prefer deck 5 and deck 6. When the kids were too young for sign out privileges, deck 5 aft definitely had the advantage of being close to the Club and the Lab. We have never had to use strollers or wheelchairs and have never had to consider a family member with limited mobility, so the proximity of elevators or other parts of the ship are not important to us.

I booked the dune buggy excursion in Cozumel today! Well, I booked for me and my friend. My sis-in-law is supposed to be booking for her family. I am really excited! I hope it is fun! Anyone done this before?

I am sure they will be over a lot to look at the water. I am also hoping that they will be spending a lot of time in the kids clubs too. Boh of them are good kids and we would not mind them spending some time with us while mommy and daddy are "getting ready" - if you know what I mean

Evening All!

Hard too believe we are getting so close to departure date. My DW said she was able to get us Palo brunch and high tea reservations, so we are excited about that. I asked her which floor we are on and she said somewhere on 8.

Our friends we are traveling with are counting down to when they can book their excursions, so are pumped the closer the day gets.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Pete

I'm thinking next year I might like a big round porthole... anybody out there that like those that can tell me about it? I'm happy with my sideways cat 11... just think I'd like to try a view for a change...

We are in a cat 9 deck 2 with 1 large porthole. I didn't want verandah as I thought I'd be paranoid with little kids. A large porthole will be great, we are also near the aft elevators which I heard was a good location. Can't wait for Oct!!!

I think, if you don't mind, I might like to come and visit you in your room one day while we are at sea. I would like to see what the view is like because deck 2 is what I'm thinking... It sounds fabulous!

Good luck with your surgery tomorrow morning, Penny! We'll be thinking about you!!! Please post when you can and let us know how you are doing!

Penny - Thinking about you as you prep for your Surgery. See you back here soon.
