1. Will you be dressing up fancy for Formal Night?

We plan to be in Palo on formal night, but we'll be in a jacket & tie and a dress for the formal and semi-formal nights.

2. Are you bringing your pirate gear for Pirate Night?

Just a few small items, like bandanas and eye patches.

3. When will you be coming in to Cape Carneveral.. the morning of or the night before?

We'll stay at WDW the night before and drive into the port on Saturday morning.

Some Questions for our weekend :).

1. Will you be dressing up fancy for Formal Night?

I will be wearing a dress and the hubby will be in a jacket/tie combo.

2. Are you bringing your pirate gear for Pirate Night?

No. I approached my hubby about this and he was not interested. I don't mind...less for me to pack.

3. When will you be coming in to Cape Carneveral.. the morning of or the night before?

We are letting Disney do all the planning. Therefore, they are putting us up at that airport hotel the night before.

I don't know if I have mentioned it lately, but I can't wait for this cruise:woohoo:

1. Will you be dressing up fancy for Formal Night?

Been there, done that! I think DH will simply be wearing a shirt & tie (and pants too, of course)... no jacket - no tux! He is planning to rent a tux again on our Transatlantic cruise in April since there are more dressy nights... and we will need to watch luggage weight flying home from Europe. I'll be wearing a dress & heels, nothing too fancy though. ;)

2. Are you bringing your pirate gear for Pirate Night?

Again, something we've went crazy with in the past, but we're not planning on doing for this cruise... we'll probably just bring some eye patches, tattoos, & bandanas!

3. When will you be coming in to Cape Carneveral.. the morning of or the night before?

We'lll be at WDW, so we'll arrive the morning of the cruise... planning to be at the port fairly early! *By the way, we all need to start posting pics so that we'll recognize each other in the terminal!!! :)

Current plan is to stay at the MCO hyatt the night before and then take the early bus to port in the morning.

I absolutely LOVE the Hyatt at the airport!!! We stayed both pre-cruise and post-cruise in 2008. I'm really going to miss it this year.

Some Questions for our weekend :).

1. Will you be dressing up fancy for Formal Night?

Yes, the whole gang will be dressing up. DW always like the pictures when everyone is decked out.

2. Are you bringing your pirate gear for Pirate Night?

Yes, the kids get dressed up in various pirate attire.

3. When will you be coming in to Cape Carneveral.. the morning of or the night before?

We are flying in a few days before to visit MK and MNSSHP.

From your signature, it looks like we'll be with you at BLT for the 2 nights before the cruise. We're very excited to stay there, but not as excited as we are about the cruise!

Wow! Awesome!!! I see your boys are 12 & 8... mine are 13, 11, & 9 - very similar ages! (I also have girls - 11 & 4). What are your plans on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday morning? It would be great to meet pre-cruise and say "hi"!

1. Yes, but not really fancy, I don't think. I haven't made up my mind really, yet.

2. Oh my god, YES!!!!!! Watch out, everyone!!

3. I will be there sometime Friday. We are going to try to leave really early and will be driving down. My other traveling party is flying in from Houston... they will be there around noon. I could fly for $35 each way... but I HATE flying...

Some Questions for our weekend :).

1. Will you be dressing up fancy for Formal Night?

Not terribly fancy.

2. Are you bringing your pirate gear for Pirate Night?

Probably not for dh and me, just the kids.

3. When will you be coming in to Cape Canaveral.. the morning of or the night before?

We will arrive the day before.

1. We will be dressing up for formal night.. still figuring out what to wear..

2. We were pleased that Disney gave us bandanas last time on our cruise. We will be wearing the goofy pirate ears :)

3. We're staying at a hotel at CC the night before..

CAN't WAIT!!

Someone mentioned something about recognising people at the terminal... I was on a cruise where people wore the same t-shirts ordered in advanced (obviously VERY well organised).. that time, someone also put the photos of each family together on a PDF and emailed to the families confirmed on the cruise..

I was wondering if we'd like to do something similar - not as extravagant... but something fun that would help us recognise each other at port -- or organised in advance.? ..

:)

Anyone else packing yet? Or thinking about packing? I know it's a bit early!

We leave 90 days from today, and I decided to get an early start so that I can try out some new packing ideas: travel organizers, packing cubes, hanging all shirts, etc... ;)

We cruised with all 6 of our kids last year, and ended up using 6 bags total (4-29" and 2-26"). We also had a DCL rolling duffle coming home filled with the overflow of fish extender stuff, DVC & Castaway Club gifts, souveniers, etc...

This year, we'll have only 5 kids, but we have 8 nights at WDW beforehand! I'm hoping this won't require much extra "stuff." My rule has always been that we can only travel with as many bags as we can reasonably manage ourselves - with no porters! This means that we should only be bringing 5 bags. DH and the kiddos (ages 9, 11, 11, & 13) can each pull a bag, but since I'll need to keep up with my almost-4-year-old, Olivia, along with her carry-on & stroller, I can't easily pull a bag... and neither can she, of course.

I'm hoping to be successful in my packing endeavor by cutting out a few things - fish extender stuff, pirate gear, and (obviously) oldest DD's stuff since she's not coming. Oh, and I'm also planning on packing a baggallini zip-out tote just in case we have overflow coming home. I'm really excited that I was able to find one that is a durable enough to be checked!!! I definitely don't want to be forced into paying the airline's overweight baggage fees, or needing to buy a DCL rolling duffle --- again!

Wow Angie!! That's going to be a load of luggage *giggles* okay. just had to say that :).

It's good to start thinking about it so early I think.. just to get some stuff 'in the bag'.. This is one of those vacations I don't mind having my bag packed weeks in advanced for :).

3 people = 3 suitcases for us probably. Hopefully 'less' to give me space to SHOP! YEAY! :)

Angie :worship: Not sure how you do it. I struggle just keeping it light with one kid. Both DH and DD7, love to have multiple changes of clothes. Our plan is to have 2 large 26inch suitcases with a duffle that can be pulled out if we are pushing towards the airline weightlimit. Plus we will have 3 carry ons.

Since we had almost completely packed for the Cruise in May (that we had to cancel), I just set all that stuff which is more cruise travel items (over the door shoe holder, toiletries, night light, powercord, seasick medicine, etc) aside in a room and so that is all I have together so far. I had to crack into my "cruise reading material" so I will probably have to go out and purchase more to read.

So.. for those of you that have traveled in Oct, Will we need sweaters or something to cover shoulders on the Ship or in the evening?

We are still trying to decide if we are going to come in another day eariler to spend a day just relaxing before the cruise.

Monica, I will try to find a photo of all 3 of us and post on the yahoogroup. Unfortunately only about half have joined the yahoogoup. I know on our last cruise meet, they put them on the front of this page of the meet, but that requires the owner of the thread to do all the work :confused3.
