Are you looking forward to our sail date which is less than a month away? I know I am... woohoo!

DH and I are going to MNSSHP the Sunday after the cruise, and we will have the costumes with us that are on the magnets I made.
What do you guys think? Should we go all out?

I notice there is a thread over on the Cruise Board about how many people actually dress in pirate garb on pirate night (apparently a minority): Pirate Garb?

Hi Everyone,
I'm back on the "boards"!!

I had a scare after I had my yearly mammogram, after some intense testing I am fine, but what life altering experience it was for my husband and I!! This all happened right before we went to Wisconsin to visit my MIL who has breast cancer. I am grateful for everyday!! It was the scariest moment of my life!! Through all the testing, so I wouldn't be crying constantly I concentrated on the cruise, being with my kids and DH, it really got me through.....

........then I got a touch of the "Disney Magic" a couple of days ago....I received a call from the Disney Cruise Line saying we were upgraded!! I was in shock, we have 2 connecting rooms and in my wildest dreams I never thought we would be upgraded!! Talk about being "magical"!!

Our family is really looking forward to this cruise.....we have our pirate costumes, at least the kids do !!! Our passports are due anytime (ordered them before the change!), we just have to pack and make our door magnet......Yow!!

Can't wait to meet y'all!!

WOW! I am so jealous of your upgrade. Congrats! I am so happy for you! I look at my reservation daily on the Disney's website to see if we were upgraded. I like our room, but it would be a lovely surprise to have an upgrade.

I am too excited!! Disney on Ice was fun yesterday...Got us all really excited. DD was begging to go to the edge and shake their hands! I said a couple more weeks and you will be spending a week with Cinderella!

Thank you for the kind words....just remember that yearly appointment!!

It was sort of funny when they called to tell me I was upgraded, I thought it was a telemarketer, especially when they asked "who am I talking to"!! WOW was I surprised , Definitely the highlight to our cruise!!

Now I really have to get planning, we are arriving the night before, does anyone have any recommendations where to stay and when you stay at a hotel there can you leave your car parked there??

Is it "embarkation" or "embarcation"? I put together some little scrapbooks for our cruise so all I have to do is put the photos in when we get back and one of the pages was titled "embarkation," but then my DH said he thought it was spelled with a C. I've been in a panic ever since...

And by the way, I realize this is a little crazy, but hey, some of you have already packed!

Suzie...I know all too well about those scarey mammograms!! I've had a few myself. Even more than the usual "scare" a few years ago. After a few ultrasounds and a biopsy, my Christmas turned into a happy one!! I know that you can't think of much except that when it happens to you. I'm so happy for you that things turned out well.

Where in Wisconsin are your relatives? I'm right outside of Milwaukee.

Our TA called DCL last week looking for our docs. They told her that they are not usually sent out until about 12-18 days before. TA reminded her that many on this board already have theirs. Well, I'm still convinced that DCL is saving the "Last Doc Dance for me".

How about one more question for you seasoned cruisers? We are taking the DCL transfers to the Port and I read in the passporter to grab a seat in the front of the bus to be one of the first one's off and in line. Don't we shove our carryons in the buggage compartment under the bus? That means we would have to wait anyway. Right??? I know, I know....who cares? I decided not to sweat all these little details and here I am asking you all.

Well, gotta go and check on our puppy. He got squeeshed (sp???) under the electric garage door this morning after a thunderstorm and the power went out. Poor little pooch. I never heard such a screem from a dog in my life! Nothing seems broken though.

Packed ! I have this crazy system its called put eveything on the bed in the spare bedroom , that you know you will need - then downsize- then bring up the suitcases - and yes somewhere in there under the stuff is a Qeen size bed !!!
