October 15, 2005 anyone?

I'll help keep you alive....

Magic is in port in case no one saw

See you guys tomorrow or maybe some of you tonight at Grills!

Have safe travels! :goodvibes

Woo hoo!! I can't believe it is finally here! :sunny:

A few more hours of work, then home to do all the last minute things. So far, my 8PM flight is 'on time.' Lingering drizzle/clouds in the area, but nothing that should affect the flight.

I'm outa here. On my way to pick up DS from school then on the road for a 3 hour drive to airport.

Safe travels to all!

See you Saturday!

Oh...I'm so glad I'm not the last one still here. I signed on thinking everyone will have left already. Glad I've got some company. :earboy2: Our plane leaves in two hours!!! BUT...I realized I never picked up beads!!! :guilty: I was even wandering around Target today, ugh. Well, we'll be the beadless family. Do they sell them in airports? :rotfl:

Time for lunch. Because, I might not eat enough the next week! :rotfl2:

Safe travels!

Sara

I was one of the first to leave, but as it is almost 9:00 am on the day we sail away, I bet I am one of the last to post!

How about that party last night all you Radisson folks? Jeff was doing laundry and kept coming back with reports on people peeing in the trees and police officers kicking everyone out. Yikes!

Anyway, I hope you all had a MAGICAL trip! We haver so far!

:earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earboy2: :earboy2: :earboy2:

Just a quick welcome back to reality... :guilty:

We got home about 2PM this afternoon - special thanks to Paul and his lovely family who basically let Jason and I barge into the middle of the line to get off the ship (what the heck was that all about anyway??). We were really sweating it over making our 11:25 flight - got there with about 45 minutes to spare - eek!

Laundry is started, the cat is very whiny, and it is COLD!! May I just say that it was a real pleasure meeting so many of you on this cruise...it was extra special seeing so many friendly faces in random places (I rhyme when I'm tired... :teeth: ) around the Magic this week. It also looks like we lucked in the weather department - for those of you still traveling or staying in Florida for a bit longer...be safe!

Plenty of catching up for all of us this week - got some great tags, too!! Thanks everyone for making it such fun! :goodvibes

Brenda

We got home last night at like 11PM.... 40 degrees and rain... and our car battery died in LT parking...

WELCOME HOME!!! cept for wayne.. you lucky dog!!! you'll do anything to keep good weather... even go through a big storm....

It was great meeting everyone (especially my baseball buddy Brenda)

Later all,
Paul

Hi, I was bummed, but with all the activities on board. I just missed getting to meet all of you. I hope you enjoyed the cruise as much as we did. This was our second time and we loved seeing the changes. We'll have to do it again to see the completed changes in the fitness/spa center. pirate:

Welcome back everyone! we got in last night (11:00 pm florida time) so we were exhasted! Got up this morning started unpacking, house is a mess, Matts on the couch swearing that he got the flu from someone in the airport, the dog and the guinea pig are running around crazy. :dog: .. yeah, definetly missing sun, drinks and service!

Oh well, I decided to set everything aside (I dont think its going anywhere no matter how much pixie dust I find :wizard: ) and run to get my pics printed! Gonna bust open the guavaberry bottle and have one last drink before fully returning to the real world! :drinking1

Want to thank ALL of you, you have such beautifull families :grouphug: , the tag game made it so much more fun for us (especially Mia, thank you for the birthday wishes!) - our next thread will be Western Caribbean cruise, october 2006 (yes, even grumpy Matt who swore he was going to be miserable insisted we book again before we get off the boat! :jumping1: )

Is there any way we can share some pics? I know I saw several of you taking pictures when I left my camera in room :earseek:

Hope its a smooth transition for you guys, cant wait to show off my tan, I mean peeling forhead, to my office staff!

in gloomy southern California

Jason scanned in all of our digital pics today as well as all of those miscellaneous ones we swore we wouldn't buy from Shutters and then did. We still have two waterproof cameras to get developed - had one processed on the ship to see how our Mangrove Kayaking adventures in St. Thomas looked on film. I will post pics to the Yahoo group - don't know how to do it here - in the next couple of days.

I have to second Griselda...everyone has lovely families. :goodvibes

I woke up this morning in the dark and couldn't remember where I was or what day it was...and the house was moving. I am always slow to get my land legs back and I keep telling Jason that the random movement of the house, the grocery store, the chair I'm sitting in right now, and the state of Missouri must mean that we ended our vacation too soon and must take another one right away. :teeth:

Post-vacation depression has set in...I'm already in the early stages of planning for next year - but now New Orleans and the Mayan Riviera have been taken off my list thanks to Mother Nature...

Oh, who am I kidding? We're going to the mouse trap next October! :cheer2:

Brenda

PS - Paul...my cat loves the Cubs banner. When we were unpacking yesterday we tossed it on the floor with everything else to sort later and he's been making a nest out of it. He's sleeping in it right now with his brush and the beer glass keychain from Wisconsin Nancy! I'll get a picture and post it...it's really funny. :rotfl2:

Just got in about 5 hours ago ourselves!! Weather in Milwaukee was a balmy 50 degrees, cloudy and windy. :rotfl:

Also, just wanted to tell you all how much we enjoyed EVERY part of our cruise especially finally meeting all the new friends we made on the DISboard. I think it made all the difference!! Tag was a blast even though I managed to take a tumble down a few stairs trying to beat Chuck down the steps to tag someone. BTW...the ankle is healing up quite nicely!!
Stayed at the Hyatt last night and we turned the lights out at 8:30 pm and slept straight through until 7:30 this morning!! YIKES...we had to be tired to do that!!

A huge thank you to Kevin and Paul for all the hard work you put into this tag game and setting up websites for us. :love2:

If I forgot to thank anyone for the special gifts, please allow me to do that now. I may have gotten caught up in the moment but I do truly appreciated everything and everyone..

We too booked another cruise for October of 2006 which will be moved forward to October of 2007. Another Eastern for us.

Looks like the kids want to come along too sometime. We may have to schedule a couple 4 nighters on the Wonder before then.

Ok...gotta go and get my wet swimsuit from Castaway Cay out of my luggage. Ohhhh...that should smell real good by now!! :earseek:

Later my friends,
Nancy :)

We also got in late last night - First reality check was getting off the plane to a nice warm 34 degrees :cold: - talking about cold , we came home and put the heat on .
It was wonderful to meet you all and it was fun lurking in the halls to make sure no one saw me delivering all the goodies, even my DH got into the act .

There are 10 of us planning on another trip but not til May -June of 07 .
I cant wait to all my pics back and download some .
til later
Lynnie

I want to steal a page from Nancy's book before I get back to work tomorrow and actually have to be productive again (it's just not fair) and thank everyone for their tags and their birthday wishes...I don't think I've ever felt quite so sepcial on a vacation before. :goodvibes

There are a few tags that were anonymous, so to that family who left us a pirate mickey and to the family that left us the beverage charms - thank you thank you thank you!!

And for any of you that I wasn't able to thank in person, thank you again for your thoughtfulness and for your sense of fun - we had a blast with tag and hope you did too!

Also - after I post pics to the Yahoo group in a couple of days if you see something you'd like just let me know and Jason will show me how to send you a copy for your photographic pleasure.

Have a good week!

B.

I AM SO BUMMED! I cant find one of my camera cards filled with pics!

I am hoping its tucked in somewhere... but in my frantic state to pack up my room before 11:00 pm, I have no idea where it could be... That was the one that was suppose to put me at 300 pictures! :teeth:

May need to have another one of those drinks and settle for only 205 pictures.... :drinking1

Hey to all!!!

Post cruise depression...loooooog flight...adjusting to a 3 hour time difference...too much laundry to do...AUGH I need some time on deck 10 with a sunset and a 'boat drink'. Oh well, maybe I'll get through this when we decide on a date to take another cruise - then I'll feel better...we can't decide on march or october of 07.

It was AWESOME to meet all of you!!! What a MAGICal experience YOU made for each of us. This cruise went well beyond my expectations. Also, I feel we were blessed to have weather that was MUCH better than I expected - and so on.

'Tag' was soooo much fun!!! We want to thank each and every one of you for your fine gifts. It was exciting to see surprises on our door when we least expected it - THANK YOU!!!

On the subject of pictures...we took our 35mm film (OK - no snickering...yes, I still love to shoot 'film') to have it developed. Had some digitals printed out - 155 photos. We have some great shots - anticipate some more (will stop patting Nan and myself on the back) when the rest of the pictures are developed. Very soon...a secure web site will be announced that photos can be posted for all of us to share. I look forward in seeing your treasures and hope some of 'our' photos can help 'fill the gaps' in your photo album. until then...I'll post a shot I got of our group photo...it came out GREAT!!!

Well - more suitcases to go through...so I'd better go. Blessings to you all - thanks again to each of you for making our cruise THE BEST ONE EVER!!!!

Kevin & Nancy

I am really glad we had a day to catch up - couldn't imagine going to work TODAY!! Sorry I missed the get-together both times- the first time, my DD was sick (told Kevin the whole story), which now I think may have been food poisoning attributed to the mac n cheese at Parrot Cay at embarkation. - heard the rumor mill on the elevators. My DH was't feeling so good, but that was sympathy pains + seasickness I think. On Thursday, my DD and I got into a big time "newlywed game" - so, you think you know your family - we look exactly the same and .... we won!! Wandered around the deck about 2pm, but of course, don't know any of you, but didn't see a big crowd gathered. We enjoyed the tag - don't know exactly where it got messed up, but on Wednesday, we just delivered everything. Some of you went WAY overboard- the kids (and I) enjoyed the treats - hope you will all join us in rooting on the Pacers this year!

Welcome back everyone. We got back early yesterday, we were at home before 1. We had a 10:35 AM flight. We found out that if you have a flight before 11, they put you in a special group that gets to leave first. We got Mickey stickers to wear, and waited in Sessions until the boat was cleared. Then they let us off ahead of the big group waiting in line :). Sorry for cutting in front of you. When I called Disney to let them know our flights, the lady INSISTED that there was no way I could ever make a 10:35 flight. It was either that one, or wait around the airport until 4:00 PM. Anyway, we made it to the gate an hour before the flight left.

I am probably the one who screwed up the Distag. Not to mention screwing up my room number. I meant to walk down to 6013 to see if anyone had given them a magnet, but never got the chance. We were doing well until Wednsday. We stayed up way too late for the pirate night pirate: , then had to get up early next morning for the St Thomas thingy. The kids had a major meltdown that day. They were fussy and winny the whole day. They decided they didn't want to go to the kids club anymore. We finally recovered by Castawat Cay (Had a blast there!) but in the middle of all that, my game of distag got stalled. I only had one magnet to deliver, but anyway. A Thousand appologies.

Thanks so much for all the tags! They were all so great, I felt ashamed by only having a postcard for everyone. I didn't research what the tags should be well enough, I guess. The girls loved them all (especially the candy) Double thanks for whoever gave out the Cinderella slippers of candy. My daughter had a Cinderella dress to wear, and brought the slipper around with her as part of her costume. It was very cute.

We are still considering if we want to cruise next october, or wait until 2007. We were eyeing the Doube Castaway Cay Western cruise, but didn't quite have the nerve to make the reservation on board.

Thanks again to everyone. I have some good pictures (took over 400!) to upload. I'll try to get to it sometime tomorrow.

All in all, a great cruise - but I don't think I would take one right after a dry dock again.

Jason.

Hi all! We just got home as well. We stayed in Florence,SC or NC (I can't remember!) last night and got in today around 6:30pm. It feels strange to be home, and vacation depression has really set in. We decided to plan a Disney trip next year and another cruise in October of 2007 when those are released, I think. We were idiots not to book while on the ship and move the date, but that didn't even occur to me. DUH! Looks like a lot of people are thinking of October 2007. Maybe we should all book together again. *laugh* Wonder if we could get a group rate? :) We could repeat tag again, and this time, I will be more creative! Think they will do a table for 40? :)

Did any of you take your kids out of school to do this cruise? It occurred to us that *sniff* we are going to have a Kindergardener in October of 2007 Yikes! I'm a little nervous about planning a trip then, but everyone else seems to think that missing a week of Kindergarden won't be the end of the world. Any teachers around with opinions?

We LOVED the tag game. Everyone was so much more creative than I was. I feel bad. Katie adored seeing what was left on the 'FishMail" and has claimed a lot of it for herself. *laugh* Thank you to everyone for all the wonderful stuff. Also, I loved meeting everyone and putting a name with a face. I am just sorry that I didn't make the last meet. One of my friends and I decided to do a bit of power walking around deck 4 (is this a good time to mention that I stepped on the scale when I got home, and I LOST 5 pounds on this vacation? :) ) and I completely lost track of time. What a BAD DISBOARD member I am. :(

Anyway, I will have pictures and a trip report up sometime this week. Hopefully this thread will continue so that we can keep in touch and share pictures and talk each other through the depression. :)

Greetings from Colorado. We all made it back fine..our plane did not leave until 3:50 p.m. on Saturday and so we relaxed, ate at Chilis and waiting for the boarding. We did get a nice surprise. American Airlines bumped us all to First Class. That just made the return much more pleasant. We did have some problems with our limo/transfer service and they had given us smaller vehicles than what I had reserved... I'll be calling them today, and the driver did apologize and he said we most likely will get a refunded amount for the difference of cost.

Although we didn't play tag, I want to give a loud SHOUT OUT of THANKS to Hitomi and Nancy for the thoughtful presents. I'm sorry I didn't thank you personally while on board. I learned a lot from the boards and if I wasn't with such a large group, I would've alloted more time to this Dis group. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :flower: :flower: :flower: :flower: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :earsgirl:     :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Got to go, have to start the laundry..
