October 15, 2005 anyone?

Hey, are any of you guys looking at the Norfolk Tower Cam? The Magic is pulling out now! It's headed back home!

Sam,

have a safe trip - can't wait to hear what you think of SSR. We have points there but have never stayed (our "home" is the Beach Club Villas).

Thanks for the update on the Magic - it's good to know she's on her way home!

See you this weekend and have a good time at the Mouse's House!

Thanks, Brenda. BCV is our first home as well, and where we have most of our points. We did an SSR add-on last fall...This will be our first time to stay there. I'll wave to the Headless Horseman for you tomorrow night! :teeth: Have fun at Universal Studios!

We have points at Boardwalk Villas and our total number of stays = 0...
We have fallen in love with the slower pace of Old Key West....
lesse here's our points usage:

1st year - Cruise (actually got a deal - less points)
2nd year - OKW
3rd year - Vero Beach
last year - OKW
this year - Cruise

plus used extra points for inlaws to go down for part of a week.
guess once the girls get bigger and there's more they can/want to do we'll want to be more in the center of all the parks... like BWV...

Sam... I wish you good traffic and a safe, vomitless drive. (sorry... Lily gets car sick and hey it never hurts to wish Sam not to have that problem :rotfl2: )

seems like we are manic now!!! lets push for 2500 posts before Saturday!!!!

I am all about pointless and inane posts...haven't you guys picked that up after almost a year? :rotfl2:

Since we bought into DVC we've stayed at the BCV twice and used points for our cruise last year and still had enough left over for 4 nights at BCV (of course we borrowed our 2005 points to do it, but it was worth it that one time).

We always say we're going to try someplace new but we love Epcot so much, especially when the Food & Wine Festival is going on, that it's more convenient for us to stay within walking distance. It doesn't hurt that the ESPN club is just across the lake - we spent some time there last year watching baseball...oh yes we did!

Sam... I wish you good traffic and a safe, vomitless drive.
Thanks, Paul! And I agree that those are all excellent things to wish for! :rotfl:

I'm outta here! :earsboy:

Bye Sam! Have a safe trip!! :goodvibes

I have to work till tomorrow at 12:30 and then we have some Team building event!! :confused3 "Bowling"! UGH! I just want to get home!!!! I also need to print my boarding passes at 2:00 and I won't be here!! :guilty:

So Barb is taking care of that for us!

Still sending pixie dust to clear out the Carribean before we set sail! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :sunny: :wizard: :sunny: :wizard: :sunny: :wizard: :sunny: :wizard: :sunny: :wizard: :sunny:

Leaving now for the manicure and to buy a Powerball ticket or two...$240MM jackpot... now wouldn't that be a great way to take a cruise? If we win, drinks are on us!! :teeth: :teeth:

Could I ask for a little magic dust over here so that we hear from the Cardinals that we at least geta chance to buy tickets Saturday morning?

Thanks!

See ya later!

oh my gosh,,, The posts are taking us over now!!! Obviously none of us are getting anything worthwhile accomplished at our jobs these last few days. I know I'm not....With a home daycare....well lets just say the kiddo's are driving me """BONKERS""" At this point I'm just counting down the hours till I've changed that last diaper, kissed that last boo-boo, and marched the last kid right out my front door!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc (I really do like my job...but man am I ready for a break!) Then since we are all packed and dear hubby has actually already loaded up the van...It'll be time to pull out a bottle of Merlot and relax!! Talking about loading up the van...we too had quite the task! Since both my husband and I are bringing along our golf clubs as well as all the suitcases, garment bags, carry-ons...well I think we met our quoto of 2 bags each and 1 carry-on/purse each :rotfl: God help us as we make our way through the airport!. 41.something hours till our flight leaves.   :thewave::thewave: love these smilies!!

I just got back from my pedicure and manicure plus this morning I had my waxing appointment. Now, just a reminder-- TODAY is the last day to do any changes on your excursions if you need to. :cheer2: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I had to make some adjustments due to my DH being on crutches. He won't be doing the 12 meter Regatta... :guilty:

?? Has anyone parasailed?? How strenuous is this excursion, and is the impact a soft or hard landing in the water or on the boat?? This is the one excursion that our family was looking forward in doing. Any suggestions  I'm leaning towards keeping it and playing it by ear since it'll be a week from Friday when we are at Castaway Cay and maybe DH will be off of crutches and more mobile. Please any advice is appreciated :sunny: :flower: I may have to approach one of the other members in our group to take his place if he decides not to do it.

CONGRATS for all those who are packed and ready to go... My DH and the kids are still "Mentally" packing.. I've laid out the suggested items via the best tips list/excel packing list and I tried on my dresses... I'm good to go but still need to place in suitcases... We went to Nordstrom's Rack yesterday and bought DS his size 13 sandals and dress shoes.. They have great shoes for a good price. Can't wait to meet up with you all--- we may go to Grills also-- I want to check out the Ron Jon Surf Shop too. I think they are open 24 hours???

On our cruises I generally read 4-5 books and try to balance some light reading with a parenting book and something a little more heavy.

So, this year I'm bringing Old School http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...bs_b_2_1/102-4602129-1128924?v=glance&s=books , Goodnight Nobody http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...bs_b_2_1/102-4602129-1128924?v=glance&s=books , Kids Are Worth It http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...bs_b_2_1/102-4602129-1128924?v=glance&s=books, and The Book of Joe http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...bs_b_2_1/102-4602129-1128924?v=glance&s=books

Whew! Just finished loading the van....Took some engineering to get everything in. You know that old rule about cruising: "Pack everything you think you need, and then take out half of it"? Well, I think we took it to heart...We packed everything we thought we needed and then added half again to it! :rotfl2:

I'm leaving in about an hour to pick up the wife and kids at school and then we are headed straight out of town from there. We'll be in Georgia tonight, and then at the Saratoga Springs Resort the next two nights. I may check in from SSR sometime Friday, but if not...See you on the Magic! Just three more days until we're onboard!

Drive safely Sam and family!!!! See you on Saturday!

Evelyn,

we parasailed last year at CC and it wasn't bad at all - you end up in the water when you first come off the boat, but your rear end takes the brunt of it because you're in a seated position with your legs completely extended in front of you when you first take off. They pull you in from the boat when your turn is finished and it's also a pretty easy landing - and I'm something of a wimp when it comes to stuff like this! :goodvibes

Paige - if we agreed on everything life wouldn't be any fun at all! Best of luck in the series - it will be a good one, just like last year. :goodvibes

Safe trip to Hitomi who I believe leaves at midnight. That must be one long flight!!

Just in case I don't post anymore (I'm outta here in 15 minutes!!!), I hope you all have a safe and, of course, "vomitless" trip to Florida.

Oh, who am I kidding??? I'll be on these boards tonight!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I'd be more than happy to make sure we hit 2500 posts!! I'm known for mindless chatter! :teeth:

On Thursday we plan on cleaning the house like our kids never would. That way we will know that they had a party!! Actually, we have the nosiest neighbors around. They'll let us know in a heartbeat!!! They would probably even call us on the ship at $6.00/minute to tell us!!! :rotfl2:

Later friends,
Nancy :wave2:

We went Parasailing at CC last time and loved it. I would say its would be perfectly fine to do in a cast. You never have to get wet at all (unless you want to - my wife had them dip me in the water on the way back down.) and the landing was nice and soft. It they (the boat ops) don't mind, I say go for it.

The Plot Against America was the other book I read on the cruise last year, but mostly in the airport waiting for the flight out. I didn't think that it was that great, certainly not worth the hype I had heard about it.

May I recomend Life of Pi. I loved that book, and I think it would be a great read, even though its about a boat wreck....

OK, maybe for after the cruise.

Jason.

Hoping if I irritate everyone around here, they'll let me leave early!! Actually, with my luck, they will all leave early and leave me here alone!! :goodvibes

Nancy

Ha!!!! I told you they'd all leave me alone!! It's 4:15 and this place is empty except for me playing on the computer instead of making sure all my work is caught up!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
