October 15, 2005 anyone?

I am going to e-mail Dave again on Monday and see what he thinks!! I can't believe how active things still are in the tropics!!

Hopefully he'll have good news for us - I've been checking extended forcasts for the Caribbean as well as Florida and it looks pretty rainy through the middle of next week...then we're left guessing. I've got my fingers and toes crossed that the skies clear out for all of us.

Brenda

PS - GO CARDS!!! :cheer2:

You would think it would let up at some point....I was reading somewhere yesterday that the first half of October can be very stormy and then the chances of severe weather development drops off??? So we leave on the 15th! That is half way through....So let's end it now!!! We want sun!! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

As long as Port Canaveral is ok...I trust the Capt to take us to safe water...I just don't want any travel delays....

The 10 day forcast for Cape Canaveral looks good after next Thursday...Sunny and mid 80's.....We have to think positive! Nothing we can do to change it anyway. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: I will try the pixie dust!!! :wizard: :sunny: :wizard: :sunny: :wizard: :sunny:

:wizard: :wizard: Here's some more pixie dust. The more we get, the better. :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :wizard: :wizard:

Michelle, 2 years ago my daughter did the same thing. 3 day's before her big dance recital! :earseek: Anyway, the little butterfly clips do help...A little.
It will be fine, though. It could be worse. Is Josie going to get her hair braided? Maybe they can somehow braid her "short" bangs into her braid & then you can put a couple clips in to help it stay. It could be really cute. princess:

Anyway, It is currently 39 degrees w/ 25mph wind, making it feel like 28 degrees. :earseek: Oh, and frost advisory. :cold:
I don't know about you guy's but I am ready for some fun in the sun!!! :bounce: :sunny: :Pinkbounc Even my DH is staring to perk up & get excited. He said he even had a "Disney cruise" dream last night. :cloud9: Wow, imagine that! :goodvibes

Have a super day everyone!!! :teeth:

Here is the picture that I used to make my door sign for the trip! So cute! I can't figure out how to make it small though!! It is so big!!! pirate:

I just assumed that we were going to start planning our NEW cruise together for 2007? :)

Even better idea than mine! :cool1:

Cute photo of Jo Jo!
I think I remember cutting myself some bangs as a kid....right before school photo day!
My family called me Jo Jo too when I was a child :)

Thanks guys...Maybe I could make her wear that "Goofy" pirate hat the whole trip and then you won't see her very short bangs!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Anyone here know anything about Guavaberry and where you can buy it and what it tastes like (work with me here - don't tell me it tastes like a guavaberry :teeth: ), and what kind of drinks they make with it? Seems like I remember reading something a while back where people were just raving about it.

A little help?

Thanks.

Brenda :goodvibes

PS - did I mention that the Cardinals are playing today? :teeth:

Paul

P.S. Did I mention the cubs aren't playing til April?

thanks for the link paul.

You know... the black sox are still playing...I mean the white sox. And while it's not quite the same as the Cubs playing in postseason and while we all know that American League baseball sucks in general and takes waaaaaaay toooooooo long to play in particular...I am enjoying watching them beat up on Boston. No insult meant to any Boston fans lurking about but a little payback for that world series sweep feels good. :teeth:

B. :goodvibes

PS. Have I mentioned that the St. Louis Cardinals are the second most winningest franchise in Major League Bbaseball and the most successful franchise in the National League? :teeth:

Brenda,

I read on cruise critic that you can get a Guavaberry coloda as soon as you practically step off the cruise ship pier!! :cool1: :cool1: I plan on trying one and buying some if I like it!

I also read that their is a Jimmy Buffet store called "Mango in Paradise". I plan on visiting there too!

Excellent! Let the drinking begin!!
NO FAIR!!! I sure hope they have virgin guavaberry options. I'm not a big drinker generally (and obviously never when pregnant) but man was I ever looking forward to enjoying a frosty drink with an umbrella while sitting on the beach. Oh well.

PS Did I mention the Astros kicked some Braves tail yesterday? Tonight's matchup of Smoltz and Clemens should be a great one, win or lose (and considering the Astros' historic performance against the Braves in the postseason, it will be lose...).

Paige,

You can certainly enjoy a frosty "virgin" Strawberry daquiri on the beach!! :goodvibes

Have you cruised DCL before???? I know on the Wonder they would walk around with the pretty frozen drinks and have a shot of rum on the side. So if you wanted alcohol then he would pour it in... ;) So many kids want the pretty drinks too...Like mine!! So this way everyone is happy.... :teeth: You won't be left out!!

Try a "Miami Vice" if they make that virgin....I had one on the RCL trip in January and it is half Strawberry daquiri and half Pina Coloda(frozen)! Very good and pretty! :goodvibes :sunny: :goodvibes Wish I had one now!!

I'm sure you can get one sans alcohol with an extra umbrella to compensate. :teeth:

I watched some of your game yesterday Paige... I think it's going to be a tough series because both teams are pretty evenly matched but I'm giving the edge to the 'stros. I still think we'll have a rematch of last year's NLCS. I'm a very well behaved STL fan - I just get a little vocal sometimes! :goodvibes

Sounds heavenly!!! But am I missing something?? Which "cruise ship pier"? At Castaway Cay???

Since I'm a huge Jimmy Buffet fan, you'll see me dropping a couple bucks at "Mango in Paradise"...but where is it? Same place as the "cruise ship pier"?? :rotfl:

Thanks,
Nancy :wave2:

Oh, I'm well-behaved, too. I'm not even that vocal, but DH can get a little over-excited (in a nice way - he's not a face painter, but he did make me send DS to school today in an Astros uniform). He was VERY concerned about whether he was going to be able to watch the games on the ship. I have assured him he will. I hope I wasn't lying. He's upset enough that he may miss the opportunity to attend games in person.
