October 15, 2005 anyone?

Hi everyone, Welcome to newbies.
We are almost packed and ready to go.
We are free anytime on Sunday but need to know final decision before this Friday as we leave early Friday morning.
We have distag gifts ready and packed and can't wait to put faces to names.
We will probably be wearing our homemade cruise shirts to both embarkation and dismeet so you won't miss us.

Welcome Hitomi! :)
I know what you mean about the sleeping, or in my case dreaming. I would say that almost every night, I dream of Disney. :cloud9:

I echo Nancy in regards to the Dismeet. I(we) too, will just go with the flow. Just as long as it's not 3pm, That's when we are doing what Brenda would call..."The naughty mud bath." :love2: ;)

Oh, yeah! That's the right way to start your cruise, Jen!

It seems like a lot of us have stuff scheduled on Sunday so I say again that we should stick with the 1PM time we originally agreed on. What do you guys think of meeting on Deck 10 just above the Cove Cafe? It's easy to find and it's near tasty caffeinated concoctions (as well as the alcoholic kind downstairs at the Outlook).

Well... whaddya say?

We did do the wine tasting and found it very enjoyable. I think this year we're going to try the martini tastings and the tequilla tastings.

I want to do the wine tasting. I have been on FOUR Disney Cruises and each time I've wanted to do it but never actually made it. This time, darn-it! I am going to do it! I'm sure that whatever they taste won't be as good as my beloved Virginia wines, but I'm sure they will be passable! :)

I know. ::yes:: AND, I can't wait! ;)

Count us in for deck 10. I have been wanting to try one of those moccachinos I've been hearing about. :teeth:

That works for us ...
Cant wait .. :wave2:

My 2 year old and I are almost packed. Dh will wait until the end of the week to start packing his and my 7yo's stuff. I have my packing list on a spreadsheet, so I just pulled it open earlier and checked things off as I went. The hardest part is that we're still in summer clothes, so I can't completely pack until a couple days before.

We book through my husband's office, and just found out today about our room. It's a deluxe oceanview stateroom with a verandah, which I'm excited about. It's a great location too. Last year we had a really crappy Deck 2 room with a porthole and I was really nervous that would happen again.

I can't believe we have less than two weeks!

1pm still works best for us but we will also go with the flow....meeting at cove cafe sounds great but i will be whereever! we also have brunch at 10:30am Sunday...i think we will see lots of y'all there....we have tea at Palo at 3pm monday and we do not eat dinner there until Friday night at sunset!!!! a perfect way to end the cruise..

i started making my final list of all we need to bring and i am beginning to wonder if we even have room for the kids in the van!!! :rotfl:

i am so excited about pirate night...i just hope those of us with late seating do not miss too much.... pirate:

I can't sleep or work or anything!!!! My mind won't stop thinking about this trip!!

Oh and yesterday my 1200 lb horse stepped on my foot!!!! I can hardly walk today!! :worried: :sad2: My little toe and the side of my foot is blue and swollen!! It better be healed up by 11 days!! Then he had his hoof hung in the fence this morning!! UGH! 5:00 am I am outthere trying to get him undone from the fence. Finally had to get fence cutters and cut him out! Stupid horses!! Sometimes they are more trouble than they worth!! So my Monday is starting a little rough!! Can't wait till 2 weeks from now!!! :sunny: I am ready to get away!!

Hope everyone else had a good weekend! ;)

:sunny: I JUST LOOKED AT ACCUWEATHER AND THE SAIL A WAY FORCAST FOR 10-15-05 (CAPE CANAVERAL) LOOKS AWESOME!! 84 AND PARTLY SUNNY!! FABULOUS FOR OUR SAIL A WAY PARTY! :sunny:

Michelle...Hope that foot feels better soon!!! Gosh I never thought that a horse weighs that much. Never gave it much thought until now either.

This week will be a little rough for all of us I think. At least we have this thread to go to because my kids and co-workers are sick of hearing about this trip!!

Later friends,
Nancy :wave2:

No kidding! I had a nightmare last night that we were waiting to embark and my DH was being so negative about the whole thing and I was convinced he was trying to sabotage the trip. He has admitted that he is a little afraid we will like this cruise too much and I will want to do it over and over again. He likes a little more variety in his travels (and a little less expense). I think DH is VERY tired of hearing about the trip. I started packing DS' suitcase last night and DH just rolled his eyes and left the room. I don't dare ask for his input on anything or else I get that "would you just shut up about the cruise" glare.

Michelle, hope that foot improves. I can't even imagine the blue streak coming out of my mouth if I had a 1200 pound horse on my foot.

Kinda disappointing to hear about that beer selection on the beer tasting. I was kinda looking forward to tasting something different, but I can get all those beers at my local grocery store. Maybe I'll go to one of the others instead. I have never actually had a martini, maybe that would be a good place to start?

Hitomi :wave2:

I thought about seeing my Doc,but it is my little toe and the side of my foot and I bet they could not do anything for it....

I will just stay off of it the best I can and take my Ibuprofin. It is not the first time I have been stepped on...It will be ok in a few days hopefully.

Hitomi,
Welcome to our thread!! :wave2:

We are quit the group here.....Can't wait till we meet everyone! I do want to try and go to the Margarita tasting...Sounds great.

Can we pay $15 and share the samples or is it $15 a piece??? :confused3

Guess are ship is getting cleaned top to bottom and it's new additions right now!!
Tropics look ok...Hopefully Stan is dying out and we will have smooth sailing!

My co-workers and family are also sick of hearing about my trip! Oh well....

Just think we can say when people ask....."I leave next week!!!!"

OMG! :earseek: Michelle are you OK?!

I started packing yesterday. Well, technically I started a box in my closet over a year ago - now I just have to transfer everything over to a suitcase.

We have nothing scheduled for Sunday, so the dismeet @ 1:00 on deck 10 works for us. I missed out on the Palo booking because my computer crashed when I was reserving our excursions. My mom & I are interested in a brunch, but not sure when we will be able to book it.

Welcome hitomi and family!

Wayne - I love your home made shirts that Mathew is wearing! Very cool. We orderred personalized shirts from disney direct. DS's shirt is still on back - order and they told me that we might not receive it in time. So, I had them change the size and hopefully it will be here in time. Anyone else making personalized shirts?

Happy Monday all!

Crazyformickey, we wore personalized shirts that I ordered thru Disney Direct last year. We wore them on embarktion day. It was fun! :)

Sorry to hear about the foot Michelle. We will just have to have "Mr. Sparrow" kiss it and make it feel all better. :love2: :goodvibes

Quick ? to anyone of you who has ordered thru Shirley (The Perfect Gift).
She called me this morning to give me the "damage" for my DH surprise gift basket. Do you tip her? I mean she is so great, so helpful & nice. I guess I fell I should do something. :confused3 Any advice is appreciated. :sunny:

Now I am just beside myself with excitement. I just ordered a sand pail filled with goodies for my son from Shirley at The Perfect Gift. She's such a sweetheart! I can't wait to see it. She knew just what should and shouldn't be in an 18-month-old's basket! And she even suggested signing the card "From Mickey & Minnie," which I would never have thought of and which won't mean anything to him now, but will be really cute to stick in his scrapbook for later.

I'm probably going to spend the rest of the morning looking through those recent Navigators to get a better idea of what's going to be going on. SO EXCITED!!!

Welcome Hitomi, glad you are joining us. :flower: Michelle so sorry to hear about your foot....I had a horse step on me when I was just a little kid....Don't really remember what it was like (I was so small) but have heard it was a nightmare. :guilty: I survived though.
1:00 on deck 10 works for us....sounds like a plan. :cool1: Hey I hate to be the bearer of bad news to those of you that planed palo's on wednesday in order to skip the round the world menu in the regular restaurants....I just looked over the newer navigators and it looks like they've changed their menus. Wednesday had the Best of master chef ( which sounded really good to me) round the world wasn't listed and something new replaced it on the last day (friday) which was the till we meet again menu. I haven't been able to find it listed on any of the websites that I frequent....do any of you know what it's like? Oh well who knows since the ship is in dry dock right now they may change it again....and we all know Palo's is great no matter when you eat there. The FINAL COUNTDOWN HAS BEGUN!!!!! :Pinkbounc I'm driving my husband nuts!!!
