October 15, 2005 anyone?

Gia,

Barb and I have Brunch at 11:00 on Sunday!! High tea on Thursday at 3:00pm.

I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1  :cool1:  :cool1:

Hey Michelle,
I can't believe how incredibly computer illiterate I am...I can not seem to figure out how to reply with quotes. Anyways I am almost positive we are at Palo's Wednesday at 6:00 also. I know it's at 6:00 because I was trying to catch a sunset also. (when we ate at Palo's on our first cruise we were stuck at a table right by the door and not even near a good view. I will have to check if it's wednesday or not though...Is that the St Thomas day and the around the world dinner rotation menu? I hope so!!! I carefully looked over all the menu's and nights of formal/semi formal etc and thought the "around the world" menu looked like the best to skip. I sure hope I planned correctly, and that they don't change things over the next two weeks. Diane.

Sheesh...if I'd known that all it was going to take to start a posting frenzy was for Nancy and me to hog an entire page I would have done it ages ago! :teeth:

Diane... that's the exact reason that I chose Palo on Wednesday night - the Around the World menu sounded the least appealing (it's exactly how we chose Palo last year, too!). Sounds like there will be plenty of people to wave to when Jay and I show up at 7PM!

Can't get here fast enough...hurry up!

Michelle, We made reservations for brunch at 10:30 a.m. Sunday , Oct 16th. High Tea at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 17th, and dinner at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening October 22nd. Who else made reservations??? :wizard: ::MinnieMo :flower: :cool1:

Hey Evelyn,
Not only are we on the same flight, we might cross paths at brunch (ours is 11:30) and we also have High tea on Monday at 3:00

Me, too, although I'm not 33!! I have been a pharmacist for 10 years and have been scrapbooking for about 4 years - am addicted to both!!

Can't wait to meet all of you.

Beth in Indy - no hurricanes, please!

Last year, we were on a 3 day cruise and I have to say that late seating worked out great for us. We went to the early shows with the kids, let them eat in the kids club or Topsiders and went to dinner by ourselves. We loved it! They do a lot of the fun kids club activities around 7pm, so it may work out better to have late seating. The kids did eat with us one night.

YEAH!!!! :cool1:  I'm so glad I figured it right...now all We have to hope for is a table near the window....send some pixie dust my way!!! Hey has anyone done the banana boat ride on castaway cay. I booked it for all of us and now my hubby doesn't want to go....Thinks it will be to rough....(he hates not being in control of his own destiny...the wimp. (shhhhh :rolleyes1 don't tell him I said that or I'll be making it up to him forever! :love2: ) Anyway now he's got my 9 year old who is not the greatest swimmer freaking out. Do they supply life jackets?

Anyone here ever had the cabana massages on castaway cay? I made the mistake of reading the "bad massage experience" thread (what was I thinking? :confused3 ) and everyone but me seems to have a horror story about how awful their massages and spa experiences were.

We had nothing but great experiences with the spa last year but now I'm growing a bit nervous about our scheduled cabana massage. I've only ever heard good things about it - and I wanted to try it mostly because we're probably not going to be sailing DCL for quite some time after this (other places to go and see) and it seemed like a fun and romantic way to end the week.

Any thoughts? I mean other than generally avoiding threads like that two weeks before vacation. :teeth:

We've had great experiences with all the massages that we have had on our trips (even the Cabana Massages). The only downside is the upsell for products, but we've never had anyone too pushy.

Wed night is St.Thomas night... Looks like a lot of us will be at Palo. I am planning on being very hungry after our dat at St.Johns! Just seems like after the first day you are never hungry again. So a day in the sun may do the trick if I can keep from eating when we get back on board in the afternoon.

Dreaming of a "Konk Cooler": :cloud9: :drinking1 :cloud9:

They do provide Life vests at Castaway Cay!!!! :sunny:

Jason and I are also having dinner at Palo on Wednesday night; our reservation is at 7PM. We're brunching on Monday morning (seemed like a good birthday thing to do! ) and having tea on Sunday afternoon.
That schedule sounds familiar! Lisa and I are scheduled for tea on Sunday at 3:00, brunch on Monday at 11:00, and dinner on Wednesday at 7:30. Sounds like Palo will have a distinct lime green cast to it on Wednesday night! :teeth:

I read that thread too, Kathy. After Brenda had pointed it out. I even posted on it. We did the couple's massage & it was wonderful. :cloud9: I can't wait to do it again.

Michelle, I think that it's pretty cool that you & your Aunt will be in St Thomas on the same day. Are you going to try and meet? :)

We have dinner at Palo's Sunday night at 7pm. We did have Tea reserved for Thursday, but we cancelled it. Now we want to do Tea (Or rather I really want too). But, everything's booked @ Palo. Oh well, we might try & book onboard otherwise no big deal. :)

Oh, and I thought the banana boat rides would be fun too, except I'm the one who is the wimp. ;)

Jen,

We will get back from St.John around 1:30 and so I am supposed to call my Aunt (Cingular has towers there) and then we are meeting in St.Thomas too do a little shopping... :teeth: I forgot about that! That will keep me from eating!! Gary and Jo are going back to the ship and hang out at the pool. ::MickeyMo and I am sure eat lots of Ice-cream!! Gary will be as bad as Jo about the free Ice-cream! ;)

Let's see.....

We have Tea sometime on Sunday, but I can't remember the exact time. We have Brunch on Monday at 11:00 and Dinner on Wednesday at 6:30 or 7, I think!

I'm not sure she likes the pharmacist stuff that much, but hey, it pays for the scrapbooking!

We will probably stick with the late seating. I'm not sure the girls would sit through a whole sitdown meal anyway. We'll probably drop them off in the club and have a quiet dinner for ourselves most nights.

Paul - sorry not much of a baseball fan. I stick with football. Someone actually offered me club level tickets the other day to the Tennessee - Cincinnati game on Oct 16th! :sad2:

OK, heading over to the Yahoo club to figure out this tag stuff....

-Jason.

Breaking news for anyone interested in the Stingray Adventure: It is now available to book online! :cheer2: I just booked all five of my family into the 10:00 time slot. Now I just need to start prepping my kids so they don't freak out with the rays swimming around their legs! :teeth:

For those that haven't heard much about it, here is the description from DCL's site:
Castaway Ray's Stingray Adventure
Discover the amazing world of stingrays! Attend an orientation, recieve snorkel instructions and enjoy hands-on interaction with these gentle creatures. (Ages 5 and Up)
I'm looking forward to trying this one out!

Welcome to the new DISer's!!!! :wave2: Two weeks from today we leave!!! :moped: Which means to me, two weeks from today I'll be packing! :rotfl: I gave up looking for a formal, I'll just wear something from my closet. I do have a few dresses I could wear.

DiMitch, we are signed up for the banana boat ride, too. I think it sounds fun. I hope my DS doesn't fall off. As for the rest of us, hey whatever happens!!! I'll try not to think of sharks! :rolleyes1

We have brunch Monday at 10:30 and Palo dinner Thurday at 7:00. No tea for us. I'm sure we'll be at one of the *tastings*. :earboy2:

Has anyone seen a current Eastern Navigator? Just wanting to check it out.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!!

Sara

Thank you Sam, thank you Sam... :worship: :sunny: I didn't even finish reading your post, but quickly went & booked us for the 11am slot. I can't wait! :) :cheer2:

Also, I talked to Shirley today w/ the perfect gift. She is such a sweety! :)

Just say Cubs... :rotfl: :rotfl:

BAH! Everyone knows that folks from Tennessee are Cardinals fans...they drive hours to get here and spend the weekend at our soon to be demolished stadium. I'm sure he was just trying to be polite - it's ok to admit you're a Cardinal fan, Jason/ :teeth: :teeth:

We might as well book the entire restaurant Wednesday night - everyone be sure to bring your dental floss! :teeth:

I haven't seen new Eastern navigators but I did see a very recent Western one on Barb's site. I was mostly interested in the tastings... they're offering a martini flight for $15 per person daily in diversions...5 mini martinis. There's also a tequila / margahrita tasting in Sessions, a martini tasting in Sessions, the wine tasting in Sessions, and the beer tasting in Diversions.

Now Nancy knows exactly why I couldn't remember dessert from the last cruise! :rotfl: Except for that chocolate souffle from Palo - man that is awesome.

And Kathy - thanks for the reassurance on the massages. It looks like we have an almost identical Palo schedule along with Captain Sam.

Brenda :goodvibes
