October 15, 2005 anyone?

Michelle...

Yup, you sure can get that magnetic paper at Walmart. It's a lot cheaper than Office Max or Staples.

Nancy

Kevin,

thanks for posting that list... you beat me to the punch on that one! I was going to do the same thing tomorrow based on the list I had (which I used to create the fabulous tag-bags that will leave all of you shaking your heads... :teeth: ).

Anyone interested in having a post-tag get together on Thursday evening? I'm open to suggestions...

Hey Brenda,

We WOULD be interested but Thursday is used up by Palo for us. We have dinner at 7:30 and High Tea with Michelle at 4:00. I guess we are bailing on you all since I don't see any spare time for us. If you decide on a different day or time, count us in.

Nancy :sunny:

Hi Marnie...

I sent you a PM awhile ago to let you know that we decided against wearing our transfer T-Shirts to the DISmeet on Sunday. Just wanted to make sure that you knew this before then.

See you in "15 more sleeps"!!!!

Nancy :wave2:

Holy Cow....why can't I sleep????

Too many things going on in my head these nights. Guess I'm too excited.

Brenda, I reread your post on the Rainforest. Do you still think it was worth the $75.00/person for the week? Is this something I can book online on Disney.com?

Talk to you later...

Nancy, you can only buy the rainforest pass from the spa directly on board the ship. As for whether or not it's worth the money... well the answer for Jason and me is yes - we'll use it every day. We've been joking since our last cruise that when we win the lottery we're going to build a new house that has a rainforest room in the basement! I really think you should check it out first and determine that you would use it enough to feel like you've gotten your moneys worth out of that $75 fee. You can always buy a single day pass for $15 as a test run - that way if you don't end up enjoying it as much you're not out of pocket for the rest.

As for a post-tag meet...Jay and I couldn't do anything until later on Thursday night anyway because we've got late dinner seating...But...that is the night that they usually have the Dessert Buffet...maybe some of us could briefly catch up then? It would be laaaaaate...

Coffee is waiting...I must go drink it... :goodvibes

Wow! You'll already be descending? I'll still be at work. :( We don't arrive until around 6:30 or so. We're not really planning to do anything that night because we're staying at the airport Hyatt and (please don't judge me) aren't taking a carseat for Will on the flight so we won't be able to go anywhere. Brenda, glad to see you used and liked FL Tours because that's who we're using to get to the terminal Saturday. They provide a carseat.

I can't believe our trip is so soon! And I haven't given the first bit of thought to what to pack, other than my not-so-formal formal dress and Will's cute sailor suits. I checked the 10-day forecast for St. Thomas yesterday and it showed highs in the upper 80s for the whole time. I'm hoping it will cool down a tiny bit from that, but even upper 80s would still feel like relief from the heat to me.

Paige,
Our plane leaves for Orlando around 2:00 on the 14th..So we won't get into Orlando till 5:00 or so. :sunny: Then we are headed to Port Canaveral!
I wanted to go on Thursday evening, but Barb's DS has to go to School half day on Friday. Jo Jo is off..Oh well that's ok...We are headed to WDW in May and so I will just have to wait..... :guilty:

SO WHEN DID EVERYONE GET DINNER FOR PALO??? WONDER IF ANY OF US WILL BE THERE ON THE SAME NIGHT. :confused3

WE HAVE PALO DINNER ON WEDNESDAY AT 6:00 PM. TRYING TO CATCH SUNSET!! (St.Thomas night)

I have decided no more SWEETS till the cruise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to be good then next 2 weeks!!!! :bitelip: :rolleyes1

Hello everyone! Just started reading these boards. We will be on the 10/15 cruise as well. My name is Jason, I’m 32 and a Engineer/Computer Programmer. My wife Pam is 33 and a pharmacist and a very serious scrapbooker. We have 2 daughters, 3 and 5. We are in room 6103. I’m not really sure what this Tag thing is, but is it too late to get involved?

This is our first cruise with the kids. We went without them on a 3 night Disney cruise in January – I call it our scouting cruise, just to make sure we thought the kids would like it!

While I’m here, I have two questions. We are assigned late dining – would it be a good idea to try to change that with the younger kids? Would I even have a chance of getting it changed? Also, would the OC have problems with letting our 5 year old in the 3-4 program? Her birthday was the end of July, and she is really small for her age, and I think the two would have more fun if they were in the same program. It won’t be a big deal either way, but I didn’t know how strict they were about that stuff.

Two weeks to go!

-Jason.

Michelle - Jason and I are also having dinner at Palo on Wednesday night; our reservation is at 7PM. We're brunching on Monday morning (seemed like a good birthday thing to do! :teeth: ) and having tea on Sunday afternoon.

In two weeks I will be at Islands of Adventure... that's my mantra for the rest of the day!

See ya!

B. :goodvibes

PS - I think I managed to finish off the Wisconsin / Missouri page of this thread with this post!! :earboy2:

Hyatt news!! Hotwire has the Hyatt for $77 for the 14th. I cancelled my regular reservation and rebooked it.

Welcome Jason!! I think today or this weekend is the last day to sign up for distag. You need to visit the yahoo group that Paul so kindly set-up and enter your info. I just wish I knew how to add the link :confused3 .

Brenda & Michelle - Thanks for the help with the tag-bags.

Nancy - Thanks for the transfer heads-up.
Any docs????

Welcome Jason,
you and I sound lots alike... I have 3 and 5.... 5 had July birthday (but mine acts 5 going on 15). I am a Network Engineer... I think the OC should be ok with 5 year old going down to the 3-4s... I heard that the 2 goups (3-4 and 5-7) are all doing the same things, just in different "groups". if not, our girls could buddy up...

lesseee with all these commonalities... if you were a baseball fan (maybe you are) what would you favorite team be?

You and I will both be in the line to change to 1st seating as well I think... I would rather have the early seating...

Later,
Paul

Michelle, We made reservations for brunch at 10:30 a.m. Sunday , Oct 16th. High Tea at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 17th, and dinner at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening October 22nd. Who else made reservations??? :wizard: ::MinnieMo :flower: :cool1:

We are in the "private dining area" for groups - there will be 12 on each day.

Later,
Paul

Hi Jason,

Welcome to our Thread! Today is the Deadline for the Dis Tag. If you go to our Yahoo group you can sign up and read about the rules. Sounds fun! :goodvibes

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DCL-October-15-cruisers/

One thing good about the clubs is that the 3-4 and 5-7 year olds are in basically the same area so I am sure your 5 year old could hang with the younger group.
We have a 3 year old with our group and 2 (7 )year olds and we are happy they will atleast be in the club area together. :goodvibes

So Brenda,
Minn and Mo are dominating right now?????
