October 15, 2005 anyone?

Hi Everyone!!

I just reserved our room at the Raddison for the night before :Pinkbounc they told me that they do not have many rooms left, so if you need a room call them now!!

My rate was $149, includes free hot breakfast :) , free parking for the duration of the cruise :) and free shuttle service :) , and I was able to reserve an early time, 10:00.......is that too early?? :confused3

One thing to cross off my list

Nancy,
We were visiting my inlaws in Greenfield. Very short visit, only 2 days!! When we lived in Sussex, we lived in Wooded Hills Subdivision across from the Menomonee Park on Townline Rd....or is that County LIne. ..it's only been 6 years since we lived there, you would think I could remember. Our address when we lived there was N76 W22119 Cherry Hill Rd, can't believe I can remember an address that long!! :rotfl: DH received his MBA from UWM, and got a job in Kentucky, thats how we ended up here!! Love the weather compared to WI!! But miss Cousins Subs, Culvers, & Kopps!! :guilty: But always a PACKER Fan!!! :teeth:

Perdido Bay: I love the pirate costumes, I vote wear them!! They're great!! pirate:

Suzie,

Our past 2 cruises we stayed at the Radisson and had the 10:00 shuttle and it was perfect! :goodvibes By the time they load you up and get you there and unload luggage ect...It will be 10:30! Just right to get checked in and in line.
We are getting dropped off at the port around 10:20 and then one of us will take the car and turn it in at Budget!
I love being one of the first to board the ship. :goodvibes
Take a picture of the Mickey pool empty! ::MickeyMo You will never see it that way again! HA!
Then head to the buffet and get ya a table outside Topsiders! Love it! I can not wait!! :Pinkbounc :cool1: :Pinkbounc Then you can just relax and enjoy! I love to get our vacation started asap!! :sunny:

Thanks everybody for the encouragement... I will dress up but I won't be wearing that stinking wig...too hot!

Suzie, that sounds like a great deal on the Radisson, esp when you consider if you had to park at the Port it would be $70! Don't fill up to much on hot breakfast though, that welcome aboard buffett is great! :sunny:
I agree, the sooner onboard the better, and that day will be the only time you can get an empty shot of the Mickey pool, unless you get up a 3 am for a pic :earseek:

We are back after spending the weekend camping in Thurmont, MD. Wehad a great time, but at one point, while sitting by the fire looking at our dirty kids, my friend Jeni reminded me that we are taking quite a step up on vacations in just a few weeks! I can't believe that it is less than three weeks away until we leave for Disney World!

Anyway, I thought I would share a picture of my wee one in the woods. She had a great time!

Yay! Can't wait for my next "MAGICAL" vacation!

Hey Kathy....

How are those stateroom magnets coming along? Have you made any or are you resorting to those Dominos magnets instead? :rotfl:

Sorry...it still makes me giggle when I read your post. :rotfl2:

Nancy :wave2:

We've been out in the woods camping for the weekend, so I plead 'No Time' for the fact that I have had NO time to get them done. I think I will start working on them now though, once I get the wee one asleep. *laugh*

Who am I kidding? I'll be doing them the night before we leave at 3:00 am.:)

Love the camo pants!! ;) My Dad is a big hunter and loves all the camo stuff!

I may have an updated picture of Jo Jo and I to post soon. The one in the pink dresses is tooo long ago...

My timer says 24 days!!! OMG!

Just ordered the kids pirate outfits today...Got great prices! pirate:

My husband is the same way. She has a Camo dress too that is monogrammed and has a matching bow. :) It usually cracks people up when she wears it. :)

Suzie...oh yeah I remember now. I already asked you that question!!! :teeth: I know exactly where you lived. I believe you were off of County Line Road because N76 is right there. We are N52 and right off of Silver Spring. Our address is just as long and I still forget it at times.

Do you remember Suburpia Subs? They are coming back into town next year. Two guys from Chicago decided to re-open them here. Can't wait! They are my favorite subs.

I suppose you can't get frozen custard in Kentucky. Good thinkg I don't like icecream or frozen custard. My DS is the general manager at Roberts on 60th and Appleton. It used to be a Kopps a long time ago.

Holy cow...you read a few posts and answer a couple PM's and the lunch break is over!!

Later friends,
Nancy :sunny:

Hi again to all...I've just caught up on about 10 pages worth of threads from everyone since I last logged on....boy did I miss out!! I have a bunch of questions/comments. 1) WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THIS DISNEY TAG THING THAT I KEEP HEARING ABOUT? SOunds very intersting. 2) we also got upgraded to a better stateroom. We have a balcony now ...YEAH!!! I think October is the time to book if you want an upgrade...both our disney cruises have been in OCt and both times we got an upgrade...Trick is to book early I think...we booked 2 years in advance both times. 3) For those of you that mentioned wanting Navigators....I may have my hands on some at the end of the month. Through the boards I located someone who lives very close to me in Denver that is cruising as we speak. (17th-24th) She gets back in town on the the 28th and is supposed to bring me the current navigators. If I can figure out how to scan them and download them somewhere I will let everyone know. (Computer literate I AM NOT!!!) :confused3 I could probably figure out a way to e-mail them to those that are interested. I let you know when and if I get them. 4) We are planning to do the tropical attire for Pirates night, is that o.k. I have some cheap pirate costumes in our Halloween box but wasn't planning on bringing them...maybe I should. 5) Sorry to hear about the mamogram issue...glad you're o.k. NOVEL NOW OVER!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

 Hey it sounds like their are a bunch of us staying at the Radisson on Friday the 14th. Maybe we should plan a quick meet and greet/have a drink by the pool that evening. Does anyone think it's a good idea or will we all be too excited...too tired...attempting to wind down our kids, etc.

I'll speak for myself (I'm sure my DW will not object) that we'll be up for a meet and greet at the Radisson on Friday. I think someone else on this thread suggest the same. It might be a good opportunity to let the kids blow off some steam after traveling all day.

We will be there on Friday, but I'm not 100% sure when we will actually get there. We are hoping to get there in time to use the pool a little while and let the kiddies get some exercise(as if walking around Disney World the week before won't be enough! Then again, theywill probably be in strollers. :) )

WooHoo. I got my docs...I got my docs!!! :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

You know what I'll be doing tonight. ;)

Congrat's DiMitch on the upgrade! :goodvibes

Jen, congrats on the docs! I just filled ours out last night and boy did it feel good. Come on vacation!!! :Pinkbounc

And Paul...yooooo hoooooo.... are you out there? I saw that comment about Cubbie-blue tag offerings and I just want you to know that I have something verrrrrry special for you. :teeth:

Say it with me...2005 Central Division Champions...the St. Louis Cardinals! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I really do feel your pain...it was awful to be on the cruise last October and watch the birds get rolled up by the BoSox...and our dinner mates were from Boston. Talk about testing the limits of tactfulness!

When the birds win the NLCS this year (which will take place during our cruise) we can celebrate with frothy coffee concoctions...have you tried the mochachinos at the Cove Cafe? They are soooo good...I wish I had one right now. :goodvibes

Gotta go work on some work (boo!). But before I go...what do you guys think of just posting a brief family bio before the cruise so we know a bit more about each other than whose baseball team is the greatest and whose teeth are the most in jeopardy of falling out on the trip?

Also, we should probably set a deadline for tag sign-ups...I noticed that some of us are leaving earlier than others for vacation (like Kathy and her family) and it would be nice to have a final count before we all starting heading south.

This lengthy post brought to you courtesy of vicodin and cafe du mond coffee. Right now I think I could approve just about any loan application that crossed my desk. :teeth:

Brenda

I decided that work sucks and I'm not going to look at it any more until tomorrow...besides, it's not wise to look at a $50 million request when your head is spinning.

So, here's a little bio of DH and me...

Brenda & Jason (both 35...but I will age on the cruise...like a fine wine)

We are DINKS...double income no kids...we do have a furry child - an orange tabby named Handsome Pete.

Jason and I met in college - majored in history and took Russian as our foreign language...our joint dream is to win a massive lottery...my personal dream is to write and publish the next great American novel...Jay's personal dream is to retire...now.

Love to read, enjoy great food and can't get enough Disney. Big baseball fans and are still trying to forgive the NHL...football bores me and Jay watches it because that's what guys do.

Good humored, relatively easy going, prone to lounging in the rainforest while planning vacations for the next ten years...that's us in nutshell and we're excited about meeting all of you next month. :goodvibes

B.

P.S. silly me...One broken tooth, one crown, and one filling this year. Molar Express First Mate at your service!

Radisson Pool...Count us in !!
I know that we will be at the pool probably most of the evening, my 3 boys can't stay out of the water!! Sounds like a great time!! :flower:

I still can't believe that we got an upgrade, but I only reserved in Mid-July, 2005....go figure!! Especially since we have 2 connecting rooms!!! I don't know, but I still think it was "Magic", a sprinkling of pixie dust!!

I think DH and I are probably doing tropical for pirate night unless I can put something together, but our boys will be in full pirate wear pirate: pirate: pirate:!! Just bought some pirate costumes a couple of weeks ago!!

Thank you perdidobay and BabyJosie98 I am keeping my 10:00 reservation!! I love the advice about the pool....my kids will probably want to go swimming at 3.am., just so they can have the pool to themselves!! :rotfl:

Nancy: I love Suburpia, haven't had one since highschool!! :teeth: I just loved how the dressing would drip to the bottom of the plastic bag and soak one end of the sub!! Memories!! :goodvibes You are not far from where we lived at all!! Less than a couple of miles!! Isn't that funny!!

Too everyone who has gotten an upgrade woooo hooooo! Dont forget to update Database with new room numbers. :earsgirl:

:dancer: Doc dance-party in Phoenix :dancer:
Only wish I could dance as good as 'this Smiles guy'. After a 10+ hour day...I was able to leave all the 'garbage' at the office and celebrate the care package our UPS driver delivered us.

Also, we should probably set a deadline for tag sign-ups...I noticed that some of us are leaving earlier than others for vacation (like Kathy and her family) and it would be nice to have a final count before we all starting heading south.

Brenda, thank you for making this comment…‘adult beverage’ of your choice - on me. As one that will be leaving to start our vacation on Saturday, October 8th...I'll need some time to prepare the list of who's playing and add any ‘special events’ – before we leave. Even though I am taking my laptop…I really don’t want to locate a printers in Kissimmee to get these copied. Not to mention – we all need to know the total number of little surprises needed to be delivered to those playing. I’ll leave it up to you…but – hopefully we can agree on an ending date for any interested in playing “DIS-Tag’ – to sign up on our Yahoo site (thanks again to Paul for creating this). I’ll toss the first log on the fire and request we consider the last day of September. This will give me a week to prepare the list before starting our vacation – a week on land before a week at sea….I AM SOOOOOO EXCITED!!!! Ohhhh – I have not shared…our Mickey magnets are just about finished. They will look a lot like the jpeg at the bottom of my signature (minus the name and with a blue water droplet background). They are currently printed out, have been cut into 2” strips. They are ready to be adhered to the magnets already purchased.

On a separate note...has anyone used "The Perfect Gift" for custom baskets delivered to the ship? I’ve read many-many great posts about them – any from our group that has used them? SSShhhh – I’d like to have a special basket made up for my bride…please don’t give away my secret.

OK…10-11 hours in front of a computer is about enough…good night to all. K

:sunny: Hello Everyone! -My famiy and I will also be cruising Oct. 15th - new to your site, but it feels like I know you already! My sister and her son will be in the cabin next to us.

Should I be worried that I havent received anything? We are flying out the day before from from California, so I'm getting a bit worried since I feel in the dark about flight, hotel, shuttle, etc...

Don't worry I have not gotten my Docs either!! Waiting...... ;)

They will be here soon I am sure of it!!!! There are a few of us that have not gotten the Doc's yet...

Are you guys sure you want a Bio on my life! :confused3 :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I will get to that later!!

Tropical wear on Pirate night would be fine!! I bet you will see a lot of that! pirate:
