Brenda It sounds great! We've never had brunch at Palos and we are looking forward to it. Is there a dress code for brunch? I know that a jacket is required for men for dinner. My husand would die :crazy2: if he had to wear a jacket in the middle of the day !

Kathy I love your magnets! They look great. and since you asked for an opinion...I think it should be the Dread Pirate Tigger (just like the Dread Pirate Roberts...). Just sounds better to me.

I was really looking forward to the pizza magnets, though! :teeth:

I have a question about formal night....how many of you guys out there are wearing tuxes. I have been trying to pursuade my hubby and he won't budge...>

My husband has been dieting so he'll comfortably be able to wear his tux again this year. We generally do black tie on the formal night, and then he wears a suit and tie on the semi-formal.

I will be wearing my tux, complete with MICKEY MOUSE vest and tie. Can't Wait. :hourglass  ::MickeyMo :earsboy: :cool1:

the brunch dress code at Palo is resort casual - nice pants and a polo or button down shirt for the hubbies and a sundress or nice pants and a top for the wifeys. Last year when we sailed they didn't allow shorts, but I guess that can always change. I usually wear a sundress.

See you there! I'll be the one sucking down all the champagne!

Thanks Brenda! We will be partaking in a few mimosa also :drinking1 It's grat your celebrating your birthday onboard :bday: My bday is Dec 26 which is a bummer since most x-mas cruises are booked 100 years in advance give or take a few decades! Can't wait to get on board ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Great Job !!!!

:cloud9: :cloud9: I can't sleep!!!! :cloud9: :cloud9:

Welcome to all the new Dis-ers!

In less than an hour I will be doing the single digit dance!!! :cool1:  :cool1:  :cool1:

My co-workers are actually waiting for me to do some kind of dance at work tomorrow. :rotfl2: Won't they be surprised when I actually do! :cool1:

Kathy - I LOVE the signs! Mine are still in the process.

Michelle - How's the foot coming?

OK, since we are on the tux issue, I have a dress issue...
I'm more of a jeans & t-shirt kind of gal, so I went shopping on Sunday and found a couple of dresses. One dress I'm for sure will work for formal night, but the other I'm questioning for semi-formal night. It's white with turquoise flowers and a cute little turquoise sweater. I'm afraid it's not formal enough for the semi-formal night. I know most of you are going all out, but does this sound dressy enough for semi-formal night?

I know I'm just being paranoid. But being that it's our 1st cruise, I just want to fit in.

On a positive note, my dis-tag bags are complete!!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

On a side note, I am getting really jealous about everyones Palo reservations. Am I the only one who didn't reserve one!!!?? Darn computer anyhow! :badpc: :badpc:

Well, hope every one is having a great night.

42 minutes to single digits!!!

Great Job !!!!

Feel free to nic it if you want to. I don't see why we can't have two rooms guarded by Tiggers. :)

You cllect Tigger pins? Boy, my Husband would be THRILLED if I did that. See,I collect TIGGERS. They are all over our bedroom and the guest bedroom. You can't look anywhere upstairs (except bathrooms) without seeing a Tigger stuffed animal. It is pretty sad, really. :) At last count, I had over 100!

When Katie was little, we recreated a scene from ET with only a fraction of my Tiggers. The poor kid. I am surprised that she isn't traumatized.:)

Marnie

Hi Marnie
No, you're not the only one. We don't do Palo's, Looked in a few times but not our sort of thing. Not into child free zones.

Did you get Mathew's email for Dylan?

:flower: 48 hours from now we will be just getting ready to board our 9 hour flight :guilty: . Glad we are going direct this year.

Wayne

My DD and my best Friends DS are 7 and so they will in the clubs with you DS.>

My son Noah will be turning 8 next month, and he'll be in the Oceaneer Club too.

Since we are newbies, can someone explain the exchange at the "meet" on Sunday. Sounds like a gift giving game we've played at several Christmas parties :confused3 Thanks to all for your good advice and hilarious stories :rotfl2:

Marnie,

Don't worry...You will get a Palo time once on board if you want one. I read the hold out some time slots for when we board.

We love Palo and I don't think a suit and tie is required for that restaurant at all. I think Long sleeve shirts and dress pants are fine. Heck my uncle had a short sleeve button down shirt and Khaki's on when we went to dinner there on the first cruise.... :goodvibes Gary is only wearing his Jacket on Formal night only and I am lucky to get him to wear it then.

I am a "country girl" at heart, but I love to dress up...I can't wait for formal night! ;)

Ok...I might as well fill you in on Josie's dental issues before you guys meet her....These dental problems don't only apply to adults!! Josie fell at 2 and broke one front tooth in half and so she has a crown on that tooth. Then at 2 1/2 she slid down her wrought iron canopy bed and shoved her other front tooth all the way up in her gum between her primary teeth. OUCH! Never seen so much blood in my life. Anyway that tooth started coming back down twisted and so they had to pull it. So she was without a front tooth till last year. Her permanent tooth has come in,but is severly nerve damaged and discolored. So now the Dentist says we have to wait for her crown to come out and then her other permanent front tooth can come in and we will see if it is damaged too. At that point they will cap them with porcelean filing and they will be white again. I will be so glad cause kids at school always ask her why her front teeth are so dark. I hate it,but it won't be that way forever. :guilty: So she is still my cute little Angel....Just messed up teeth for now...

Better get working! :wave2:

I MADE MY DOOR SIGN TOO ON THE MAGNETIC PAPER!! IT IS SO CUTE AND HAS A PIRATE THEME pirate: I WAS EVEN ABLE TO INCLUDE MY BOYFRIEND CAPT JACK SPARROW....

GUESS YOU GUYS WILL HAVE TO SEE WHEN YOU COME TO MY DOOR FOR TAG! pirate:

HAVE A SAFE FLIGHT WAYNE!! WISH I WAS GOING TO DISNEY FIRST! ::MickeyMo

My husband wants to wear tux,but I prefor him not to.becouse he is too thin to wear a tux. :sad2: looks not good...he'll wear a suit as last cruise, maybe.

I have bigger problem!! I've put on my weght thease 2 years :confused3 :confused3
I might buy new dress ...I'll try mine tonight.
