October 15, 2005 anyone?

:cool1: We are going to have a blast!! :cool1: I have a 7 year old DD and my best friend has a DS (7) and DD(2-turning 3 on board). :goodvibes

Do you have kiddo's going??? :teeth:

I was also thinking of purchasing some things for Castaway Cay. Maybe a ring or a raft is a good idea.

I see the Atlantic is becoming active again!! :umbrella: Hurricane Katrina will form by Wednesday......Hope they get all these storms out of the way by the time we sail!

I really need to stop buying clothes, but it is hard!!!! Great sales right now!
Have a good day all! :wave2:

Welcome Suzie!

And "Good Morning" to everyone! :sunny:

Well, I am 1/2 way packed. :rotfl: No really, I am. :) I have all our toiletries and all my DH's clothes actually in the suitcase(s). I kind of got a little excited this weekend, and must have just had too much time on my hands. I have been hitting the stores too, for the sales. I bought a little, but we too went school clothes shopping and for 3 kids, 2 0f them having had a growth spurt and needing basically everything. Well, it can get a little spendy.

Anyway, I can't wait! :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

Have any of you ladies had a pedicure at the spa? I did make an appt. for a pedicure the day before we leave, but maybe if it's worth it I will have one on the ship instead. :confused3 Or maybe I will save my money for better spa treatments.

Anyway, Everyone have a great day!!!!! :sunny:

I know we are all planning to get in line early to board for this cruise and so maybe we should all wear some Marti Gras beads and then we would know we are part of the Oct 15th Molar express! :cool1:

Even if we wear just one green one or red and black ones??? Anything to let the others know that ...Hey It's us from the boards!!!

What do you guys think?????

Jen,

I am planning on getting a pedicure and some nails put on for the cruise. So far I have a Well Being massage booked, but may change it too the Lime Ginger salt glow with Massage if offered. Atleast I have a time set aside.

Jen, I booked a mani and a pedi for me and my grandmother for Sunday on the cruise. I knew the week leading up to the cruise would be too busy for me to get around to having those done and I figured that way we'd have lovely hands and feet for formal night.

I am so impressed that some of you are already packed!!! I can't really pack for this trip yet since we have another trip planned in September and I don't have an unlimited supply of suitcases, but I do have my list prepared. I think I still need to do some shopping, too, or else you'll see people complaining about me on the main message board as one of those people who is just WAY TOO casual for the dining rooms. Unfortunately, since DS was born in early Spring, the only summery maternity clothes I have are cheapy t-shirts and knit shorts that served as pajamas during my last pregnancy. And I guess I need to buy a maternity swimsuit, even though the thought of putting on a swimsuit at this point makes me want to run screaming into the freeway. Oh well... I'll get packing soon enough. What drives me batty is the thought that I know DH is going to be packing at about 11:30 p.m. on the Thursday night before we leave for Florida. He'll forget something important for sure. Oh, he bugs when it comes to trip planning. We are polar opposites in that regard.

Jen,
I almost always get a pedicure before leaving on vacation. I am very picky about certain services and feel more comfortable using a spa whose service level and cleanlieness I am familiar with. Besides, I've yet to find a pedicure anywhere that's better than the one I get at the spa I use here in St. Louis, which offers this aromatherapy pedicure treatment... you sit in one of those heated massage chairs...your legs soak in a mini-whirlpool scented with lavender...there's a hot pariffin treatment (I love paraffin)...I wish I was there right now!! :teeth:

As for the cruise, we're going to try the cabana massage on CC this year. I can't think of a better way to end the cruise unless it's with another vacation.

The hotel we're staying at prior to the cruise has a Mandara Spa...so Jason and I are going to splurge a little there - it's not often that we get a chance to try a world-class spa. They offer a hot stone massage that is cheaper and longer than the one that DCL offers at their spa and I'm going to follow it up with a coconut milk scrub / wrap. Jason is going to try this package they offer for men which will give him a facial and a swedish massage. We'll be all pampered and lazy before we ever hit the ship!

I will talk spa with you all day long...any questions you have, ask away! I am a spa junkie, facials every month...pedicures during the spring and summer...body treatments... :cloud9:

This can't be just a coincidence! :teeth: As Brenda likes to say, "4 out of 5 dentists recommended this cruise to their patients!" :rotfl:

Welcome aboard the Molar Express! :teeth:

...DS Billy (12), DS Aussie (9), DS Bretty (7)...
I also have a DS12 (Scott) and a DS9 (Alex), along with a DD5 (Abby - turning 6 on the cruise). There are a bunch of kids in that age range represented in our group.

The time draws near...52 days until embarkation!

You will not miss me at the port, I am the one weighted down with SLR, lenses, Compact digi, underwater camera, Video camera, Laptop, Gameboy & 3 cellphones (I am sure this list will get longer)
I'll be sure to point you out to my wife, as she insists I am the king of the electronic gadget! I'll have my Computrekker backpack on, which will contain my DSLR, lenses, flash, camcorder, and accessories plus my laptop, and of course the iPod :music: and cellphone will be stuffed in a compartment somewhere...I may also be toting a tripod as I have the ambition to get out late one night/early one morning and do a little night photography on the deck of the Magic...We'll see if I actually can stay awake long enough to do it! :teeth:

The kids are in charge of their own gameboys...

I love this idea! I'm sure I already have some beads.

Welcome Suzie!!! We too are new and have 2nd seating. It's my mother, me (31) & DS11.

Go to Netherlands this weekend for 3 nights so hoping for good weather.

Wayne - hope you have decent weather and a good trip.

Ok, the molar express is hitting my family. I'm getting a wisdom tooth "cut" out. :earseek: & DS has lost 6 of his baby teath in the last month & 1/2. He jokes and says it's his way of saving up for the cruise. :smooth:

Everyone check out the new pirate costumes on Disney Direct? I just purchased the adult costume for DS for pirates night. pirate: Plus he can wear to the halloween party @ DW.

Is everyone planning on dressing up for pirate night? I figure most of the kids will, but are there many adults that do?

I have a " Captain Jack Sparrow" T-shirt that I bought at Spencers and I plan to wear that to the pirate party!! He looks so sexy! :lovestruc Guess I will get some big hoop earings and wear the black eyeliner.... :rotfl: Maybe some beads for my hair! I am not kidding! I love this kind of thing...Don't know what DD will want to do. What do we get at dinner??? A pirate: eye patch and scarf for our heads??? I am most excited about Pirate night! :cool1: :cool1:

I have not started packing, but have bags laying around in my bedroom. So Sept 1 or maybe this weekend and I am going to start packing!!!!

It is time~~~~

My Aunt is the one who gave me the idea for the MardiGras beads when boarding. She is on RCL the next day out of port Canaveral (Marinier of the Seas) There group came up with that Idea and she told me this morning. They also all have light up Martini glasses to let them know they are part of the group! How fun! :goodvibes

Michelle,
at our pirate dinner last October we all got bandannas that the servers forced us to wear. They were reddish colored and had little skull and crossbones on them that were supposed to glow in the dark. The serving staff were all in costume and it was a really fun dinner - I can't wait to see if DCL has done anything to enhance the experience from last year.

We didn't see any people dressing up for it on our cruise, but it was still a fairly new themed dinner. Try to save room for the buffet - it looked great but were had second seating last year and had no room for any extra food.

Okay Michelle, Jack Sparrow is all mine! (j/K) :) He is sexy though, along with Pierce Brosnan. :teeth:
The mardi gras beads sound like a good idea. Do you know where I can get some? Oh, and on pirate night you get a red triangle bandana.

Thanks everyone for the spa/pedi input. I think I will keep my appt. at the spa that I go to. I have one for a pedi and for my eyebrows waxed the day before we leave.
Brenda, I'm jealous! It sounds that you and your DH are going to have a wonderful time pre-cruise. :) I too go to a spa that I am comfortable with and luv. It has the same massage/heated chairs, paraffin, cucumber water or latte...

Anyway, I inserted a picture so we will see if I did it right. Like I have said before...This stuff is complicated for me. ;)

As you can see....No picture! :sad2:

Jen you can go to any party store and get beads for around $1.00 a strand. Also many dollar stores have them or even Wal-mart in the kids party section!

They are easy to find! DD has bunch in her room and so I am set.

I found DD a couple of Girl Pirate(wench?) costumes on line! Very cute. I printed them out and will see what she thinks.

You can't take my man Jack!! I love Jack..... pirate: I saw at Hot Topic the other day they have a Captain Jack Comforter! :rotfl: My family would think I flipped out if I had that on my bed. :rotfl:

I heard they have a Capt Jack Character that runs out on deck to start the party! Can't wait cause Disney is so good with their face characters! pirate:
aaarrrrr!! Ok...I gotta get back to work!! :goodvibes

I have attached a couple of pics from last Octobers Pirate night just to show you all how silly you will look :rotfl2:

Okay Wayne, you took my idea, but I didn't get that "text" thing in regards to inserting a picture. And, I would like to think that I am somewhat intelligent. pirate:

Oh well, I posted some pictures of us on pirate night on the Yahoo group. Now THAT I can do. :)

Michelle, I don't thing your crazy. Jack/Johnny is worth it. :rotfl2:
My oldest son thinks he's pretty cool too. Jack Sparrow is in part of his e-mail address. :)

Wayne - where's the eye patch and gold earings? :rotfl2:
Thanks for posting pictures. I'm loving it!!!

Michelle - I like the Jack Sparrow shirt idea! That's who DS wanted to dress up as. I was going to make the costume myself until I found the Jack Sparrow costume on Disney Direct which even comes with dreadlocks! pirate: pirate:

Jen - i checked out your yahoo pictures and they are great! Your family looks like they are enjoying it!

I haven't had a Pedicure or Manicure on the ship. I have my nails done regularly and don't let anyone else touch them. *laugh* However, if there is something else that you want to do morethan that treatment, I'd think that you'd be better off getting that done before you get on the ship and saving the money for another treatment. Just my opinion though!
