October 15, 2005 anyone?

Heidi & Lee,

Welcome aboard the Molar Express! :boat: We've got a good group on this thread, but we're a little jinxed in the dental department, so be sure to take good care of your teeth! :teeth: If you have any questions, feel free to ask...Many of us have been on this thread for a long time, and we're getting pretty excited about how little time is left, so we enjoy the discussion. Just avoid mentioning the Cubs/Cardinals thing around Paul, and be careful around Brenda's posts if you have a weak stomach for puns. :rotfl:

I assume that you know that the 75-day booking window opens tomorrow, so if you are thinking of making Flounders reservations for your youngest and Palo reservations for yourselves, then you'll want to jump on that as soon as possible!

Again, Welcome Aboard! :earsboy:

I got up at 3:30 a.m. CDT today to make my reservations. I was planning to sleep in a bit more, but DH had to bring out my competitive streak by saying "you're not going to let any of those other folks beat you, are you?" Well, I guess I'm glad I got up when I did because I was able to make all of the reservations I wanted between 3:30 and 4:00, except reservations for my grandmother's pedicure and for Palo Tea which seemed to be unavailable, before the reservation system shut down. So, I'm very happy for the most part and only a little upset I wasn't able to get Gran's reservation yet. I'll give it a little time and, in the meantime, get some sleep.

Hope the rest of you 75-dayers had success...

Okay, I was just able to log back on and reserve my grandmother's pedicure, but still no luck with Palo Tea. Wonder if that means it's booked solid or if it is that computer glitch Disney's been dealing with. Curious I could make dinner and brunch reservations but not tea, though...

Got up at 3:00 am CST to make reservations this morning. Could not get Palo Brunch (couldn't find it). I did snag a Palo dinner which we didn't really want only because I thought it may take me to another page for the brunch listings. Was I in the right spot? I clicked on Palo, and hit the little arrow down to select either dinner or "anytime". Only dinners showed up. I'm a little curious as how PearlandPaige got a brunch and she tried after I did. I tried again right after I booked dinner and I got the message that all Palo was booked and please try on the ship.

Any ideas anyone?

Nancy :confused3

Hey everyone...

Just wanted to share some good news!! We picked up a new family member yesterday. A purebred yellow lab named "Cabo San Lucas". Cabo for short.

I was completely bamboozled by my kids and DH. After losing our dear little miniature schnauzer (Kipper) last August, I vowed never to get another dog again. It lasted almost a year. Kids and DH and even kids significant others were sucking up to me all day yesterday. I should've known that something was up when they offered to take me to TGIF's for my favorite salad. After one "no" those sweet faces starting really pouring it on.

Well, since I'm such a sucker for my kids and family in general (I'm a "Door Mat"), I agreed to "LOOK" at one. OMG!!!! He stole my heart! What a little sweetheart!! Somehow tonight I will post a picture of him. He was up most of the night crying. I snuck (is that proper English?) into our bed for about an hour after booking my excursions etc.

I'm dying to run out to the garage to see him now.

He was born on our 25th wedding anniversary...June 14th!! Must be right!!

Off to the dentist for that crown. Wish me luck!!!

Later,
Nancy :wave2:

Nancy,
Your puppy sounds adorable! :goodvibes Good luck at the dentist! Don't cry!
Keep checking on the Palo brunch! Hopefully you will snag one before you board the ship.
I will probably wear just a Summer skirt and tank with sandals to High Tea. Cute and comfy. Nothing fancy! :cloud9:

Welcome Traxbykat & Parksfamily5 :cool1: :cheer2: :cool1:

We have such a fun group going on this cruise!

I am going to start working on my door sign! I have the perfect Picture of DD with her goofy ears pirate hat on. That would be cute! pirate:

I can't believe how fast this trip is approaching! School starts in 2 and half weeks! UGH@! :sad2: I hate that! Then we have to be on a schedule again!

I love Summer! :sunny:

Schedules, dance classes, soccer practice & games, Awana, choir practice...Need I say more? The only reason that I am "somewhat" looking foreward to school starting is that it is that much closer to our cruise. :sunny:

Congrat's Nancy on your new "addition," and good luck at the dentist. :teeth:

Welcome parksfamily5! We are a family of 5, too & we even have a Haleigh(different spelling) who will be 9yrs this December. Unfortunetly she won't be on this cruise. It will be just my DH & I this time around. ::MinnieMo :lovestruc ::MickeyMo

Update on the Dentist!!!

Painless!! Gosh, you gotta just love that Nitrous Oxide!!! A little laughing gas, and few shots of novacaine, tap..tap..tap...grind..grind..grind. DONE!!!!
:teeth: Like my new smile??

Now, still having problems with Palo brunch. I even called DCl this morning and poor little Juanita must have been up all night with her puppy too. She was one CRABBY lady!! She was really quite short with me. I'm not used to that with Disney. She said I would have to try to book a Palo Brunch once we are on board. I'll keep trying today online anyway.

Maybe we can swap our Palo dinner on Thursday night with someone's brunch. :rotfl2:

Later Friends,
Nancy :flower:

Nancy,

You could always ditch your husband (anniversary, schmanniversary) and join me, my husband and my grandmother for our brunch. We made reservations for "3-4 people"!

Actually, I hold out great hope for me being able to make reservations for tea and you being able to make reservations for brunch at some time before we board.

I guess we should be happy with what we were already able to take care of. Sure will make day one of our cruise much more enjoyable...

I wonder what the deal is with Palo and on-line booking all of a sudden? Seems like I read about some similar issues over the weekend and last week, too.

I'm sure that there are plenty of spots still available - DCL would have to hold some open for folks who aren't able to book on-line or for people who want to add something at the last minute. You will be fine!

Glad to hear your dental excursion went well - when they fit my crown on I thought I was gonna kick the dentist in the head it hurt so much.

Paige...I'm already dumping DH for the Palo High Tea on Thursday. Not much of an anniversary cruise if I keep dumping him!!! :rotfl2:

Thanks for the offer though. Maybe granny and I would make a cute couple. :teeth:

I'm not giving up on those brunch reservations. I'm going to keep trying for them. ;)

Meet...."Cabo San Lucas" Nancy

Your yellow lab looks wonderful. We have a fondness for labs and look forward in getting another when we return from vacation. A neighbor just had a litter of mostly yellows with one black and chocolate. gotta tell ya - I had a hard time not picking up the chocolate and bringing it home.

Thanks to everyone for all of the great advice you have posted for newbies. Heidi & Lee - Haley - 9yrs - Katie - 3 yrs - zachary - 6 mos (at time of cruise)

Welcome to Heidi 'n' Lee and your young ones - glad you placed your post and hope if you have questions or suggestions you will share.

Hey Brenda...I promise (fingers crossed behind my back) - I'll not earn the title of "Molar Express - SPOON" while on our trip.
I'm in the 'holding mode' with you on getting another selection for Palo. We got our dinner on the night of our twentieth anniversary...sure would like to get a brunch without going through the 'ressie scramble'. Hope what I suspect is correct - between now and the final day to make final payment for the cruise...Disney will add more tea, brunch and dinner selections. But, if all we need to do is get to/on the ship and line up to get a brunch selection...I'm still a happy pup.

I must admit...signing up the kids and getting spa/Palo dinners was a piece of cake. Am sure that those who have went through the 'ressie scramble' will agree...I'd much rather do this on my laptop (or work computer - "hey, I was on lunch/break/finishing your assignment prior to the completion date"), than during my vacation time. Am so glad they put some of the scramble on the Internet - what a treat.

Paul - question...can you add a column to our 'October 15 2005 Cruisers' data base? I'd love to see if we can post those interested in DIS 'speed' Tag on this. If we can't add another column, can one that has limited use be changed?

Well...hope this finds all well...take good care...Kevin

:maleficen bippity boppity boop.... :maleficen

the yahoo cruisers database has been modified... I'll send out a post on there as well.... the Room Number and seating (1st or 2nd) have been merged to make way for the Speedtag field.... if you want to play speedtag, they enter yes... if not enter no (and we'll tag you anyway :teeth: )

Welcome new peoples!!!

spoon: you may be the skipper SPOON, but I am 1st mate Sports Spoon!
must be everybuddy is onto our cruise (the Molar Express)... just look on the transportation group.... everyone is talking about DME... Disney Molar Express right?

Is Tiddley Winks Air part of Disney Molar Express?
Disney Molar Express takes to long to deliver!!
DME question!?
our bad experience with DME!

Later,
Paul

P.S. gotta go now and get some Cubbie undies, Cubbie bathing suit, and last but not least my ronny woo woo autographed picture... (hint hint)

Thanks for updating the Yahoo database, Paul. I'm afraid I'm going to be a party pooper and say no to DIS tag, though. I'm afraid that with keeping up with a grandmother deathly afraid of water and a toddler not afraid of anything that I am going to be doing well just to make it onto the ship, never mind remembering a list of DIS folks' rooms. Have fun with it, though, guys!

Paul, I read that and nearly screamed out loud at my desk...I would have fainted but my manager is out of the country for the next two weeks and I'm in charge of the department (now, there's a scary thought...).

Now that I think of it...I did find official Cardinals boxer shorts for my DH last year before our cruise (went to a playoff game and had to show my support by spending even more $$$$), but we don't want to turn this into a Molar Express Team Logo Runway Show, do we? Although, if we have a post-tag DISmeet with enough alcohol it could work... :drinking1 :drinking:

Speaking of the Yahoo database... could we add another file for birthdays and anniversaries? I have something written down at home about who's celebrating what but it might be nice to have an official place for it and then we could incorporate it into our speed tag.

Thanks!

Brenda

my oldest son Alex would like to know if any of you that have boys around the 11-12yo range would like for them to talk to each other....alex will be in the lab this year for the last time :( before he moves up (too fast!!!)

if any of your kids are interested they could email alex at elizbilly@cox.net and put "for alex" in the subject line! you can also PM me if you want!
