October 13th, 2007~"Cruise-A-Palooza"

Cheshirepixie,

We had a gty room and was just assigned a room number a few days ago. I found out by looking on the DCL website. Pull up your reservation on the website and you may be able to see if they have assigned your room yet.

Welcome Cheshire!!!! We're really glad to have you on board. :) Is this your first cruise?

Kristi

Jen, you certainly made me laugh. :rotfl: Our "computer room" as you would call it has 4 chairs (one being a rocker), two desks, two computers, a dresser, a couple of filing cabinets, my scrapbooking stuff and it's only about a 10 x 10 room. UGH. I would do it in a heartbeat but then no one would be able to even walk into the room. :lmao: I'll just have to be content for now with my lists. :) Kristi

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome! We just booked the cruise yesterday and since we are interline (airline) we were told we may not find out our room # until we check in. We have to call back later today to make sure. I think we are suppose to have a oceanview.

This is our first Disney cruise, but we have been on several Carnival and such. The price we got and since DD is 2 1/2 this is probably the only way we could afford to cruise Disney. Now... anyone know how to lose 20 lbs in 3 weeks:rotfl2:

Hey all! I am soooo excited. I was checking our reservation online today and we have airline reservations!!!! YIPPPPPEEEEEEEEE!!!! Now I'm 95% sure I'm going on a Disney Cruise. :) I'll be 100% when our AAA travel agent calls and tells us we can come and pick up our package. :) I'm beyond excited now!!!!!!!! :) Kristi

Oh, and another thing, I'm clueless how to lose 20 lbs. in 3 weeks but I'm sure I can tell ya how to lose 10. :) I'm down 25 and my goal is to be down 10 more. Yipppeeee. :) Kristi

Got my MNSSHP tickets in the mail today:cool1: Also the kids received (well they dont know it) their kidzeyes checks in the mail today that I redeemed for them. $260 altogether :thumbsup2 So that will be their spending $ for the trip. If anyone has kids and haven't signed them up for kidzeyes, it's a great way for them to earn some spending for disney:)

Kidzeyes? I've been away for a few days so sorry if this is answered later - just didn't want to forget. Please tell me how to get free stuff!!!!!

Back to catching up on the board - you miss a few days and wow ton's to read! Three weeks from tomorrow we fly out!!!!!!

Welcome, Chesire! We must be neighbors...I'm in NorCal, too ;)

I lost 7 lbs last week on the cabbage soup diet (for more info, cabbagesoupdiet dot com). You have to follow it strictly to lose the weight! I have 3 more lbs until I reach my goal.

Then I will gain it all back on the boat :rotfl:

Wow thats great! I've lost 12 and I have another 10 to loose before we sail.
Tonight I fell off the wagon when I drove through Starbucks and had a Carmel frappuccino.

Hello fellow cruisers, I have a dilemma, I had booked lord sheffield pirate ship excursion in St. Martin or so I thought. It turns out that there was a mix up and now we are wait listed. I hate to not plan anything else to do in case we are able to get lord sheffieds but on the other hand I dont' want to be left without a plan of something to do, any ideas? We do have a 1year old so that does limit what we can do. Thanks a bunch for any help. I can't wait to meet all of you. Dawn

Bevtoy, I completely understand that wagon thing. I've been playing with the 25 lb. thing for about a week because I was "cheating." I love my coffee with creamer. Sooooo, I'm back on track now. I'm actually down 2 more lbs. today. :) YIPPPPEEEEE!!!! Only 8 more to go. :) Shouldn't be a problem in 3 weeks. That is, as long as I don't start "cheating" again. HEEE HEEE To all of you who are losing the weight as well, keep up the good work. I know it'll be worth it. :) Kristi

I believe BevToy asked - when/where those participating in DIS-Tag will meet....I'd suggest we meet for a few minutes during our DIS-meet on Sunday. I'll have a magnet and list for everybody....sound good to all?

I see some have received cabin assignments - WONDERFUL...sounds like the upgrade fairy has struck - CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Excuse me if I'm not too attentive on the boards till after this weekend is over. My M/FIL are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this Saturday. We've got lots to do and plenty to keep us busy. I'm running on just a few hours of sleep as this was a very short weekend. I spent most of the weekend scanning photos/slides to create a photo tribute on DVD of their 50 years together. I'm very proud of how it came out. When my DW viewed it...I knew my work was done as she needed 5 tissues to get through a 14 minute tribute.

**** HEY **** I need to ask....do we have any that have received their cruise documents??? Some one please correct me...should'nt these start showing up soon??? I don't know why...after a year and a half of planning/saving/waiting it just feels 'more real' when I've have our cruise documents in hand - anyone???

My best to all. K

Hi all! We are so excited for the cruise! We are leaving the day before and will probably spend the day in the Port Canaveral area. We originally planned on Epcot, but I think we may pass. Who knows...I may change my mind at the last minute, but writing that $398 check for 150 gallons of heating oil this morning just put a little damper on that! :scared1:

I will have to read up and refresh my memory about the rules of DIS-tag. I am working on my goodies! Thanks again Kevin for organizing this! I just printed out the rules from our yahoo site. :woohoo:

I haven't even thought about packing yet! I am just not that organized. I did buy 3 pirate patches the other day for 69 cents each! Oh, and I got green beads for each of us! I think I should start with a list so I can get organized beforehand so hopefully I won't overpack. :surfweb:

We booked an excursion to St. John. We will probably take a cab to Maho Beach, but aren't planning a formal excursion. :beach:

We weren't able to book Palo online, so we'll try when we board.

Can someone refresh my memory and tell me what is the dinner itinerary for our cruise, ie: formal night, pirate night pirate: , etc?

Talk to you all soon!
Tracy :goodvibes

Hello all! I have the same idea as many of you to slim down before the cruise.(so I can indulge) I'm treating it like a triathlon and I'm training like I'm going to be in a race that Saturday morning. The best way I've found to trim up in the weeks before a race is to burn those extra calories!!! It sounds like it's obvious but if you add a little somthing to your regular regimine wether it's walking up and down the stairs an extra 15-20 times a day everyday leading up to the cruise or take a brisk walk or whatever....that little bit of extra calorie burn can really help when you are already trying diet and excercise. I have implemented the push-up, sit-up addition to my regimine and its working out great! I'm doing fifty pushups and fifty sit ups everyday up until the cruise along with my regular swim-bike-run training it only adds a small amount of time. I was forced to scale back a bit in the last couple days as wednesday night I nearly got hit by a car while on a training ride and ended up with some pretty nice road/sidewalk rash to bring with me on the cruise. I can't say if adding a little extra burn will help you drop 20lbs but it might just get you going in that direction.......just let Dori be your guide, "just keep swimming, swimming, ....biking, biking,...running , running.....walking, walking......etc...."

Happy Friday...have tried to catch up on posts...will need to review a few more pages over the weekend. Just wanted to check in - say hi to all and pass a smile your way.
