I wanted to get back to ya'll. The last time I wrote, I was telling you about the freezing temps we were having down here in Florida. I know you guys were worried about us, but we made it thru just fine. I think it is finally safe to put my long johns away now. Today it got up to a respectable 80 degrees.
I have been reading some of what you guys have been writing. My wife and I are bringing along our granddaughter on the cruise. She will be 8 at the time we sail. She is a very out going girl and makes friends easily. But like all kids she is a little nervous about meeting and making new friends. She has her own email address here on our computer. Of course we moniter her emails and her web brousing very closely. She stays with us every week-end. And, like us she is a BIG Disney fan. I know she would enjoy playing with some other girls her own age.

Thats about it for us. Only 6 months to go guys. Can't wait!!!

David, you don't know how rude you were by telling us that it is 80 degrees in FL!!

I wish you could look out my window right now and see the 8 inches of snow that fell YESTERDAY, APRIL 11th, here in Wisconsin!! Thank God the schools are out for Spring Break, because we would have had our 3rd snow day this year. (the schools only allot for 2 a year, and we usually don't use any!!)

Now, I will admit that 60 degrees is in the forecast for next week, but this is ridiculous. Again, I get by only by looking at the DCL website daily! Bring on the 80 degrees!!

I was dumbfounded to see how many hotels are already booked and full for that night!

If anyone wants their child to e-mail others we have been private messaging our personal e-mails between each others and do we all have cute kids!
So PM me if you want in we are going to try to arrange a "Kids Meet" so the children will feel more comfortable. Anyone have any suggestions for a convenient time and place?

Have any of you watched "Cruising Do's & Don'ts on the Travel Channel? I set my Tivo to record it last week and I have watched it a couple of times. It has some good tips for first time cruisers, whitch I am one. And, it also has a nice sigment about the Disney Cruise Line. Well worth watching. Just thought you might want to know.

My DS is a bit nervous about meeting new kids at the kids club, so if anyone has a son his age I would love to tell him about someone he could meet.

Bev – the DCL special...was this the one that was on Travel Channel 2 or 3 weeks ago? If so, it’s been on a few times already....but they enhanced the original show – it was OUTSTANDING!!! I love the look of the new spa area (DW almost has me convinced on booking one of these), the Dumbo-tron, new youth enhancements (Stack and Ocean Quest) and the announcement of 2 new ships.

Has anyone heard what the plan is for the new ships??? I’d love to hear 1 will be coming to the west coast – hopefully alternating between Canada/Alaska and Mexico....please - please – please!!!!

Greeting everyone! I finally got around to checking for a Cruise Meet for our Oct 13-20 Magic cruise. So glad to see such a large, nice group sharing plans before our big trip. I discovered Disboards before our 1st cruise-Wonder Oct 2005 and have been an avid fan ever since.

Cruise - paid off March 28th - YIPPEE!

Flights - Midwest Airlines dropped the rates yesterday for the flights I was watching, so I jumped on them quickly and got one free with ff miles. Every seat a full size leather seat, non-stop flights to MCO and hot baked chocolate chip cookies on board....love that airline

Excursions - currently researching things to do on St Martin & St Thomas stops, so any suggestions would be very welcome. I am currently thinking about St Martin - Golden Catamaran in am and then ??? in afternoon. St Thomas - St Johns Snorkle Beach Adventure since St John sounds so beautiful. I am looking for things that the DD6 can do with us and that really limits some of the great sounding excursions. Has anyone done these before?

Pre-cruise Hotel - I could really use help here. Our flight doesn't get in until 11:00 pm, so I am really wanting to get the Hyatt for convenience. $289 is way too high to pay, so I am reading about the Hotwire deals. I have never bid on hotels before so I could use lots of help on this one. What's the best way to get Hyatt (3 1/2*) when it looks like others since it doesn't list the tennis any longer. Marriott/Renaisannce wouldn't be a problem since I am a Marriott rewards member, but at 11:30 with luggage and tired kids...the closer the better.

Travel to Cruise - evaluating options for this as well (DCL or limo service). The DCL don't appear to get there very early and we want on ASAP to enjoy lunch & the ship before crowds. What are the rest of you doing?

This was probably "WAY" too much info, but just excited & playing catchup.

I was telling my son about the fact that so far I have seen numerous DD(10)s but no DS(10)s. You should have seen the look on his face

I had to reassure him that there will be some boys his age on the cruise. Quite funny!!
