October 12 booked. First timers

Hi:

We just booked our first 4 night Disney cruise for October 12-16. Thanks to this forum I have learned so much in such a short amount of time.

I was wondering if anyone else is booked for this cruise. Also, when I board the ship at 12:30, should I wait in line for an hour to get Palo and Spa reservations (sending the kids and hubby off to the pools) or will I be able to get what I want if I go at 1:30 pm when they open up for reservations?

I am so excited. If anyone has any advice for this first time cruiser with 2 DS's and 1 DH , please feel free to let me know. I want to do everything, see everything and have fun in the process!

I'm bumping this so you might get some response from some more experienced cruisers.

We went on our first Disney cruise in May (4 night) so I'll share my limited experience!
We boarded around noon and walked around a bit and then went to the buffet for lunch. Then we walked around a bit more, let the kids play some basketball and finally decided to head to the spa to make my ressies. This was probably around 1:30-2:00. There was only about 4 people in line in front of me and I had no problems getting the treatments/times I wanted. We did not make Palo ressies so I couldn't help you with that one.

Hey Kamy:

I posted this yesterday just after you posted yours. (We were both thinking the same thing at the same time). I saw your thread before mine came up....it takes a long time for these things to post. I would have cancelled my thread but I didn't know how. Thus, here are two threads for the same date. Great minds do think alike, eh?
