I am debating upgrading our room to concierge to surprise my fiancee. Does anyone know what the concierge level amenities are compared to a ocean view stateroom w/verandah? Thanks!

Welcome and congratulations!

Where to start with concierge... In the case something opens up you should definitely have your mind made up and ready to go. There are many differences including early check in, concierge lounge which always has water, soft drink and coffee available as well as a DVD library and shutters access (the photos taken on board). Upgraded rooms (although the standard rooms are amazing already). Private sun deck. Amazing concierge hosts who are there to make sure everything is scheduled exactly as you please. They are very attentive and ready to make any reservation changes or help with preferences. Free cocktails before dinner as well as during embarkation. You will also likely be sitting by yourself during all main dining unless you wish to sit with others. If you are not concierge you can ask to be alone but often will be seated with other families. Some perks like the ability to book excursions early has passed by since we are so close but I believe that if there was something you really did want like a cabana you might have a better chance getting something like that once you were in board if you were concierge. There are probably things I am forgetting, but this is something to get you started.

I missed seeing it last night, but I have watched it before. I love watching this show. I believe it will be on again on Aug. 15th, and I hope to see it again then. Maybe I can figure out how to record on my DVD Recorder before then and then I can watch it any time I want to. I'm so obsessed with anything about DCL and Disney in general and try to watch all the shows about them, even the ones I have seen a gazillion times.

Just checked out our cruise on DCL website and the concierge category with 1BR Suite is showing available again. If it doesn't actually get booked before our cruise, wouldn't it be nice to be upgraded to the suite by DCL? I'll keep wishing!!!!
