We are still undecided about excursions, but will probably start looking soon.
We did Chaccoben with Native Choice on a previous cruise, and had an excellent time.

We keep going back and forth as to what we should do this time around....

I really want to use Native Choice but my husband is afraid they will leave us or break down. Please tell me about your experience with them.

We used them in 2011, when we visited Costa Maya with Carnival. We did the "Mayan Experience" Tour with them, and really enjoyed it. They were able to get us to Chacchoben before the other tours, and did a great job explaining the site and what we were seeing. Then we visited an actual Mayan household, and helped prepare fresh tortillas and ate an authentic Mayan meal. It was truly a cultural lesson my family will never forget. Native Choice was professional and seemed to be a very well run operation, and they got us back to the port in plenty of time.

I have to tell you all, I am so freaking excited right now!!! I put room 12510 on hold!!!! Yay! Once member services opens in the morning, I am upgrading to concierge! Yay!!!!!!!! (My reservation is through DVC on points)

Congrats! Hope all goes well this morning for the upgrade. I'm not conceirge (in a 4D on Deck 6), but I do have a verandah! I've been spoiled ever since my 1st Disney cruise when we were upgraded by Disney to a verandah from an Oceanview, and don't think I would be happy without one now.

Congrats! Hope all goes well this morning for the upgrade. I'm not conceirge (in a 4D on Deck 6), but I do have a verandah! I've been spoiled ever since my 1st Disney cruise when we were upgraded by Disney to a verandah from an Oceanview, and don't think I would be happy without one now.

After 3 calls to DVC and having them talk with a supervisor, I was able to change to our room to the concierge room! Yay!!!! I want you guys here to know that my 10664 cat 5E completely aft was freed up!

So after a few requests, I have created a "secret" Facebook group for our kids who are interested. You cam pm me as you will not be able to see it as it is "secret" so not just anyone can see it! Yay!

A few things we need to discuss.....Dismeet on 1st day, date and time? I don't know if we ever committed to a time or place?

Champagne girls...go all out with a private open bar or just meet and greet?

I will post a picture of the Roaming Gnome for those interested!

Who wants a cruise nickname and to work on a cruise design??

I'm in the same boat. I'll be booking DCL excursions exclusively for this cruise - if they're late returning the ship waits - if any non-Disney excursion is late you're stranded. I know it's probably a very rare occurence but so are issues requiring insurance. I purchased cruise insurance and I see purchasing Disney excursions as just another form of insurance.

I totally agree with this....any excursions we take will be purchased through Disney.

I think we will be staying at Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom Lodge the night before the cruise.

Not yet. We will probably stay at a Hilton in Orlando, since DH usually can get us a free stay due to all his business travel.

Not sure if I looked up the right place, but looked up a night after the cruise at AKL, but no way we can afford it. It looked like an awesome place to stay, but just couldn't justify the cost for 6 of us. Maybe next time!

I thought we were meeting, 1st day, near the pool, something about near the time for spa giveaways or something. I'd have to go back through all the posts to find it though.

Not positive if I'm in for Champagne girls, just because I'm bringing my parents along. Might be doing more family stuff...

I like the idea of a cruise nickname and a design. I'm not very creative, so I don't think I'll be any help, but I hope we have someone on board who is! I know there were some ideas presented earlier on....I thought some of them were pretty nice.

I see you are a DVC Member. I would love to become a DVC Member, but at this time, I just cannot afford it. I'm a single mother (widow) of a 24 year old moderately mentally disabled daughter (who is one of my traveling companions along with my very fun Aunt). But I'm gonna keep dreaming and hopefully find a way in the future.
