October 11th--16th anyone else goin?

Hi! My name is Lisa and my dh and ds (13) will be heading for the happiest place on earth in Oct. I did message board for a cruise a couple of years back and it was loads of fun and also quite helpful.. so I thought i would try it again...
this trip we are staying at the Coranado..they have a cool pool, but better for our budget than wilderness lodge (honeymoon 14 years ago).
We try to get back down there every year or so..looking forward to the whole week there this time.
SOOOOOOOOOOO, any one wanna chat & have loads o' Disney fun?
We do have the 13 year old..very much into anything on the computer..love to find some friends for him to swim with back at the hotel..being an only child sometimes vacations get lonely for him..

Hi, my name is Lorrie and I'm going in October also, the 9th to the 14th and bringing my DGS who will be 10. We are staying at ASMo. This will be his 2nd trip with us and no one else. I keep him running so I don't think he gets real lonely but we do call his dad every day. I think he likes the alone time and all the attention we give him.

I think my mom would love to do that with Nick as well...so I gather you will be gettin some candy?? will he be dressing up?Nick did when he went at 10..but i think he thinks he is too old now?? where does the time go??

We are doing MNSSHP our 1st day down and I would love for DGS to get dressed up, but he REFUSES. He keeps telling me that he is to old. I tried to make him a T-Shirt like my DH's and mine and he gave me a look. He will wear one that says, "I'm a moody preteen. This is my costume." Jay has very young parents so he is an older 10 emotionally. That is why we bring him to the World, so that he can be a kid for a little while.

DH and I will be at SSR with DD (6 months at that point) and my parents the 10th through the 14th. It's our first trip to WDW as DVC members... we had developer points to use. It's also the first time we're going down and NOT going to any of the parks. (Shocking, I know) My grandmother and aunt live in Florida... it'll be the first time they get to see the baby. So, they're coming to stay with us. I'm a bit nervous that I won't be able to be that close to MK and resist the urge to go!

Gotta say that I LOVE the idea of the "moody teen t"..i may have to steal that idea from you

Hi Steph, I couldn't be that close and not go. DH did an extradition from Orlando several weeks ago and wouldn't take me. he was there overnight and didn't go, I don't think he was bit with the Disney bug as hard as I was.
Lisa you are more than welcome to the idea for the T. I totally understand the packing thing I have lists and have picked up things for my DGS that he will need. I haven't started packing yet but thats only because my luggage may need to be replaced.

Hi All...will be down at SSR from 10/10 - 10/17. Not sure if we're doing MNSSHP this time or not...but we are doing MBYBBQ on the 16th. Any Dis meet's goin' on that I could crash???

Hi NedsTJ. No meets going on that I know of. I'm doing MNSSHP and Spirit of Aloha. You'll have to let me know about MBYBBQ. I'd be interested in that on my next trip.
