Our 4th time on the Disney Wonder. "We are hooked"!
Looking forward to it!
We have an 11 year young daughter and a 14 year young daughter.
My niece who is 5 will be going also.

DH and I just booked our sixth cruise on the Wonder - we'll be sailing with all of you on October 11th! :cool1: We're also hooked ::MickeyMo :sail:

It's just the two of us. No kids in our household yet. 7 more weeks :cool1: This will be our first Fall season cruise. Our other five have been in December or April/May. Have all your other cruises been at the same time of year?

This is our first fall cruise also. Where do you live in Fl? We are south of Melbourne. Most all of our cruises before have been at the end of January or early part of February.

We're in Apopka - northwest of Orlando. Originally from MA, though. We've been down here for just about four years now. Did you see the Travel Channel had DCL on tonight? I love watching that show when we have a cruise booked, just gets me even more excited for sailing :sail: I think it's on again as I type this, maybe I'll just have to watch it again.

It doesn't look like many DISers on this cruise with us, huh? Well, all the more space for us :thumbsup2

My sister and her friends are going also. My cousin and her daughter may also join us, depends on if she can get a FL res Rate on a last minute.
But I know what you mean, there doesn't seem to be a great response for Dissers on this sailing. It is considered a holiday weekend, so maybe that has something to do with it.

I'll be sailing on this Wonder trip. It'll be my first cruise, and I'll be sailing solo. I just said that for the alliteration. :rotfl2:

Sounds like you have a great group joining you, and hopefully your cousin will be able to find that last minute FL res rate too. We were able to get FL res rates in the past, but this time just got that Paradise by Disney rate. I'm still going to keep an eye on the discount listings, though, just in case something comes up to enable us to get a better rate.

Yes, we do get to the theme parks quite a bit. We have FL Resident AP's so we try to get as much use out of them as possible ::MickeyMo How about you? You're not as close to them, but do you get to WDW much? It's coming up on our favorite time of year to visit WDW - with the Food and Wine Festival starting soon, and we'll be attending our first MNSSHP next month and then the holidays, and the cooler temps making it more comfortable to spend prolonged periods of time out in the sun :cool2:

:hourglass Well, just over six weeks now... I'm looking forward to cruising at a different time of year. Hopefully the seas won't be too rough, but then again, we've experienced a variety of sea conditions just in our past December cruises, so hopefully that will prepare us. I'm hoping the water at CC will be warmer in October, but if not, I'm sure we'll find other ways to enjoy the island :cool1:

Looking forward to getting away.
I too hope the weather holds up for us. The only problem about a 3 night is that it goes by so quickly.:sad2:
Welcome Matthew

This is going to be my DW and mine 1st ever cruise! We have no kids and are going to celebrate our 10th anniversary! We have our passports and are looking forward to going! :cool1:

Linda, I agree that is a problem with the 3 day cruises... they are over before you know what happened! At least I didn't have a long wait this time between booking and cruising since we just booked this cruise last month. I think that was one of the closest we've ever done. Sometimes counting down to the cruise with the excitement of anticipation can be fun too, though. And of course spending time on the DIS helps too :disrocks: Any update on your cousin and her daughter? Was she able to get anything booked to join you on this cruise?

rkbrannin, :welcome: welcome to the DIS and welcome to the Oct 11 Wonder thread! DH and I also celebrated our 10th anniversary on the Wonder a couple years ago, couldn't think of a better way to celebrate! Happy Anniversary to you and your DW! :)

Yes my cousin and her daughter will be joining us. There are 11 of us going.
welcome rk
Has anyone got thier docs yet?

No docs yet, but I've already checked us in online :) I got "just a little" excited after watching the last showing of the Travel Channel's DCL show and just had to do it. :rolleyes1 I'm glad your cousin will be joining you. We were able to reduce our cost by a couple hundred dollars when the FL Resident rates came out :thumbsup2

So, will the 11 of you be dressing up for pirate: night? We usually just wear all black and add the Pirate Mickey ears and call that pirate attire pirate:

We have not received ours yet either and I'm getting a little anxious... Hopefully they will come soon!!!!

I'm not sure if the rest of the gang will be in pirate attire on Saturday PM, but my girls have already said that they want to where a Halloween costume. ha Hey whatever floats their boat:rotfl2:
Yes I do recall all the other times getting our docs like almost exactly
2 weeks before sail date.:wave2:

:cool1: Came home from a not-so-great day to find an envelope from Disney Cruise Line! :woohoo: Funny thing is, there are only half the docs we usually get. Either it's a mistake or since we've already checked in online they didn't send the forms for us to complete. The only form was the Bahamas immigration one but the booklet contained much fewer pages than normal. I hope everyone else receives their docs soon!

I too got in from from a not so great day at work today and came home to our Disney information!! :cheer2: We have never been on a Disney cruise before but it seems that we have received the same information as you.

My sister and cousin got theirs today also. But not our family. I think since we order through Sam's club it takes a day or so more.
But that stinks about not having right number of forms. Is the right names in the booklet DCL gives you?
My cousin got upgraded but not my sis:confused luck of the draw
I hope you get straitened out, maybe you should call DCL

rkbrannin-
Does your Travel Booklet contain any pages that look like forms that need to be completed? I think there should be three or four if I remember correctly how they come in the booklets. I completed all the forms online so that's why I figured they didn't include them, but now it sounds like you're missing them too. I know one would be to enter all your contact info including emergency contacts/numbers; then there would be a payment authorization form to enable you to record a credit card# for charging to your account on the ship; there's also a form for all to sign agreeing to the cruise contract. I know I remember there used to be forms regarding minors also but I think you said it was just you and your DW traveling. The only pages in our booklet are: Mailing Info, For DCL/DME Transporation use only, Important Messages (2 pages), Ground Transfer Information, Transfer Purchase Option, and a page that says Cruise and Airline Contracts but no pages following it :confused3 Hopefully your booklet contains more information but if not you could go to DCL's website to complete the check in process there and it does save a lot of time at the port doing this too.

Linda-
Did yours come today??!! And yes, our booklet did have the correct names, sailing dates, etc on the first page. Hopefully you'll have everything you need when you get yours. I'm starting to get really excited! :cool1: I hope all the "tropical" weather calms down a bit for those few days, but hey, as long as we can sail around it safely I'll enjoy the Wonder wherever it sails ::yes::
