october 11 , is there something special?

I see that all the parks are open later and its a monday, is there something going on that day. Also in the unofficail guide it says the 11th is moderately busy and all the days around it are slow.Thanks for any info

It is Columbus Day, and a lot of schools will be out. I'd asked around about crowds since we were thinking of going then, but I was told that it does get pretty busy.
