October 11, 2014 7-Night Southern Caribbean Cruise on Disney Magic (San Juan)

By the way -- can someone educate me about B2B? How does it normally work? Do you debark for a certain period of time, etc.?

According to what I've been told, for this B2B only, we do not have to disembark. We leave everything in the room and just have to check out of the room. We will be directed to what parts of the ship we are allowed to hang out in.

Hi Every one,

George and I signed up to be added to the FE group, Its just my husband and I, Rm 6126. Looking forward to this cruise. I don't know how this group is doing their FE gifts. Last one I did was a Room gift and 1 per child. So maybe someone can tell me how they are handling this. Thanks, Dorinda

I believe you need to PM Ssanders for the FE. Nothing has been decided on the FE. Many opinions & it is pretty far away.

I've done 7 FE's and have never been told "who" to give gifts to - its always been personal preference, whether it be one per room, etc. I think it's safe to say you can decide on your own.

What will be decided sometime next year will be whether the group will be broken up or not.

Stay tuned.

Thank you for your answers about the FE, I will stay tuned then for what's going on with It. Was just going to start preparing. Dorinda

Just booked the Repo cruise as well. We're keeping our same cabin. First
B2B! The exciting thing is I haven't told Cindy, my travel buddy! I won't tell her until her birthday in March. That's a long time for me to hold it in!

I caved already! Can you believe it? Cindy was running around trying to come up with money for the deposit, so I had to tell her. Oh well, it's more fun to talk about it than keep it a secret!

Does anyone know if you get the DVC and/or Castaway Cay gifts on both cruises if you're doing a back to back? We usually end up trying to split things, but when there's only one backpack, it's hard to do.

I believe you do, as it is two separate cruises. I'll confirm in 100 days, as we are doing a back to back on the Magic this October.

I would not have made it that long. Although on our B2B we didn't tell dd until we were on the first leg. Only told her at breakfast one morning because we were trying to decide if we wanted to catch the show or stay in port longer.

She squeeled very loud the server wanted to know what was wrong, though she had hurt herself. WHen he heard why- he smiled.

You will get 2 gifts for each.

On this cruise we go to St Kitts, St. Lucia, Barbados, Grenada and Antigua.

Has anyone ever been to any of these ports and have any highlights to share on them?

Half the health benefit of a vacation is the anticipation.:thumbsup2

We have been to Grenada, Barbados and St. Lucia on the Queen Mary 2. St. Lucia is an absolutely gorgeous island. We did a Pitons Pleasure Cruise which took us out to the twin pitons on a large catamaran. Had a great crew who served us lunch and drinks. In Grenada, we did a Spice Island Tour, spice being a big part of Grenada's economy. And on Barbados, we did the Catamaran and Turtle tour. We got to swim with turtles in beautiful Caribbean waters.

On St. Lucia, we did a canopy tour and zip line excursion back in 2007. We had to take about a 30 minute bus ride up into the mountains. Then after getting geared up, we rode a open air aerial tram through the jungle canopy to the top of the mountain where the zip line course was setup. We had to ride the tram back down again at the end, which was a nice way to relax after the excitment of the zip lines. It was really nice.

We spent our honeymoon in Grenada. We did do a spice island tour. They are known as the Spice Island. We toured a nutmeg factory and various other places. Keep in mind, this was back in 1991. It was a gorgeous island then. From pictures that I have seen, it still is.
