Thanks for all the happy birthdays to my daughter!!! I showed her the posts and it put a big smile on her face!! Today, I think we are going to do girl stuff. She wants her hair cut, eyebrows waxed, lunch and shopping. Saturday is her birthday party!!!

Its awfully cold in Florida right now, brrrrrr!! It was 2 this morning, (sorry don't know the conversion), right now its only 11 (here is -11), they have closed Blizzard Beach as it is too cold. I wouldn't be very happy if I had to wear hats and mitts...

ah poor them I feel really bad for them...NOT !!!!
wonder how many cold days they get there in a year? like 2? LOL

I'd die if my work ever cut off my DIS!!!!!!!!!!! I am contracted though, so I don't work on their time, so unless we crashed their server, I don't think they'd care.

I laugh at the temps in Florida, but boy, that sure would make rides not so much fun! We laughed at someplace with Blizzard in the name being closed because of cold LOL. It's cold here, or it was, yesterday it was -7 air temp when we woke up. We are supposed to be near 40 by the end of the weekend though!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dd goes on a school trip to northern Minnesota to an enviromental center all next week for school, I'm hoping the warm up stays through the week, since they will be outside most of the day every day. Her birthday is then next weekend, she'll be 12.

I can't even remember all the stuff I've read in the last several pages to respond too. Smack me and remind me if I've missed important things in the last few days.

Anyone know what excursions or activities they wanna do on the cruise?

DH and I would love to try one of the "tastings" they have...maybe the beer since DH doesn't like wine and I don't like tequila (bad flashback from my teenage years LOL) and I have no idea what other fun stuff they have for us grown ups to do while the kids are in the clubs? but I'm sure we'll keep busy...

They have beer tasting?? DH would like that. I'm not sure what we want to do, I don't think I will sign up for any shore excursions though, we like to do our own thing. Not sure what goes on, on the ship though. I like lounging by the pool with a beverage. Wish I was there now.

We added some days to our MArch break getaway, we have an offsite villa from March 8-18 and then we just booked SSR from the 18-21. We own at SSR but have never stayed there. So I am definately looking forward to it. We also booked Jenna at the BBB in MK (she did the BBB at DTD before and loved it). We also bought tickets for the PPP for the same day. We enjoyed the PPP the last time so why not? We called last night to make ADR's and the lady said times and restaurants were wide open as we are booking so early I don't think Jan. is early for booking ADR's for MArch break but whatever. So we got the restaurants we wanted and the times so I am happy. Gives me something to look forward to considering all this cold and snow.

I also order the Cruise PAssporter, it isn't published until Feb 2008, I wanted the up to date edition so I have to wait.

You'll love SSR........Did you request to stay in a specific area?? The most convient area is the Grandstand if you want to be near the newest water play area and pool..........

We have done the beer & wine tasting. I enjoyed the wine tasting much better than the beer. I am just a plain lager beer guy. I don't like a lot of those "fancy" beers. And to make matters worse, when I quit smoking almost 4 years ago, I lost my taste for beer. I had to start looking around for a beer that I liked again....but I digress.... I do however like to try different wines. We learned a lot about wine and were able to taste some wines we would not have tasted in other situations.

The glasses for the beer tasting are small, like 3 to 4 ounces. But you will try 5 or 6 different types of beer. Same with the wine. I think they have martini tasting also... I think I would like to try that.. Or, maybe a margarita tasting for Parrothead Pirates..

I am not a wine or beer fan, so that leaves me out. Dh on the other hand, loves beer, so he would probably love a beer tasting. Doesn't the margarita tasting also include straight tequila? I love margaritas, but don't think I'd be grooving on the tequila part. Maybe I'm wrong???

Not sure what I'll be wearing for formal night, but I do know that DH doesn't want to wear a tux, he said yes to a suit though. But I might be able to change his mind from now until october

DH wore a suit on the last cruise. He just figured this time since he just bought one for work we might as well get some use out of it on the upcoming cruises.........
