October 11-18, 2008 Eastern Magic-Parrothead Pirates in Paradise!

See.... I found yer sailing! So - I'll have to consult with Alicia to see how this fits into 2008. However, as U kno we're sailing Aug to Sept 1st on the Magic - so this particular voyage would be a little close to it. Therefore I expect resistance from Alicia. Of course, I just had 2 cruises in the past 45 days too. So go figure, eh?

At any rate - thank you fer extending an invite to us to sail with ya on this one. I think Tortula is a slam dunk though... just gotta chat about it with SWMBO!

Anyways ...

... K, on other news - we got a tenant moving out in january so I'm gonna jet into vegas to look over the property while taking in CES. It was an odd coincidence that I had already planned on visiting Vegas to "hang" with some old friends attending CES when we learned of the tenant turning over. Plus while we were in Fort Lauderdale we had a chat with a too slick RE broker - he sez FHA had REO that they were listing for 175K on a duplex. Class 3 neighborhood. He offerred 70K and settled at 75K. He claims his rents are a bit over 1.3K/m and this is way over 1%! The broker went on to say they were awash with listings and little buying interest. So the times are good for buying it seems. THAT kind of stuff has been occupying my attention as of late.

However, we find Florida to be sort of far away given that we have so many other viable markets closer to us - like Nevada and AZ.

At any rate - I thought here is as good a place as any to share this. I have no dark secrets...

and it was nice runnin' intoa ya again on Friday nite chat! C-Ya 'round!

Off to pick up the Tux DH ordered for a work event and then we are going to my parents house for cookies and dinner. Then getting ready for the HUGE STORM AGAIN!!!!UGH!!!!!!!!!

Been a whirl wind 2 days of shopping! I think I am officially DONE shopping...and have a huge dent in the wrapping as well. I need to chase the boys up to thier "man cave" and not let them out so I can finish! Today is Santa Breakfast at school then the boys need to shop for each other and for Dad. I am not sure if we will do that today or after school later this week. It's going to be a mad house at the stores today and I am not sure I am in the mood for that! LOL I also plan on cleaning house and baking cookies this weekend. Some how, some way, I always get it done! Have a great weekend!

I am almost done shopping, but dh needs something for his mom and I need some stocking stuffers. I think dh and I are going shopping tomorrow, as I am gone all day today at High School Musical on ice (which is about 50 miles from here) then his family party after which is about (65 miles in the other direction from the Ice Show). Can you see a LOT of driving today? I just got done making fudge for the party and for a pot luck at work on Tuesday.
Our gingerbread house is still sitting unassembled on the kitchen island. Not sure when that will get done. We need to put it together because we are going to blow it up on New Years Eve at midnight LOL.

Erika hope you and Alexa enjoyed the HM on ice. I thought of you while we were driving around in the non-stop snow today. Woke up to snow this morning and its been snowing all day. My first thoughts were that I'd stay in all day. That soon went out the window. The kids needed to do some Christmas shopping, off we went... Then not long after we got home, I decided our kids needed some more things... DH rolled his eyes and we were off. And the snow was even heavier! But we're back now. And I'd like to say we're staying in tomorrow, but instead we're getting up and going to the movies to see "Alvin and the Chipmunks". I guess I'll get to see "Enchanted" someday...

Oh, and good luck on the gingerbread house!

On another note, thanks for the congrats Kritter on the HM tics. Heather was so happy. Briefly. Then she found her hamster dead in its cage. Sigh. So now she wants another. Ugh. She's asking her Aunt Missy to get it for her... But anyway, now I'm/we are really looking forward to the concert. We stayed up last nite watching HM on Disney Chan.

Today DH and I went to go and pick up his TUX. that he ordered for an upcoming work event/trip. Boy the traffic was TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!

Got the kids some cute Hannah Montana T-Shirts and Hgh School Musical T-Shirts at the Disney Store today for the upcoming Hannah Montana concert on Wed. and the High School Musical Ice Show.....

I can not wait to be able to tell the kids about the Tickets for the show.....What day is your show???

I think I am more excited about the concert on Wed. than the kids will be......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then we made fudge and peanut brittle at my moms and stayed for dinner....

The storm is coming our way and it is going to be BIG AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi all, congrats on the tickets I guess all our fingers being crossed helped We got in from Niagara Falls around 9:30 tonight, it was fine in Buffalo and NF but as we got closer to Toronto, the weather started getting yucky. Apparently we are getting a huge dumping of snow overnight. There has been far to much snow as it is, I do not want anymore!! Just makes me long for Florida. NF was good fun, I have been there every year for my entire life and I am sure the most changes have occured recently. It is so much nicer now. The falls were beautiful and the trees were frozen from the mist ( I took pics, I'll upload them tomorrow) The festival of lights was nice, the kids enjoyed it. The Beaty and the Beast show was very well done for a smaller production. We had great seats and and the actors were great, amazing voices, costumes and sets. It was not the same as the broadway production, but it was still quite good. We did some shopping in the US, which was great, saved some money thats for sure, esp. with the dollar the way it is. We are supposed to go to DH moms for dinner tomorrow, but we will have to see how the weather goes. Hope everyone had a great weekend!!

Since a cousin of ous in Canada died yesterday and they were really sad.. Hanna is named after my cousin Rose that is Hanna's middle name..So the cards helped cheer them up.
My parents are anxiously watching the weather for Canada since they are planning on heading up there for the funeral service....

The Twins got Jenna's pictures......They loved them all..They are working on cards for her now and pictures they are VERY EXCITED to have pen pals.....The pictures came at a good time. Since a cousin of ous in Canada died yesterday and they were really sad.. Hanna is named after my cousin Rose that is Hanna's middle name..So the cards helped cheer them up.
My parents are anxiously watching the weather for Canada since they are planning on heading up there for the funeral service....

I am so glad to hear the twins got the pictures and I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Where is the funeral service? We drove from Buffalo last night and it was fine until we hit just outside of Toronto. Today is a different story though, it hasn't stopped snowing and we are expecting freezing rain. DH is at work at the airport which is about 45 min away and he will be leaving around 2:30 so I am very worried about him driving. Again, I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin.

Thanks for your kind words Gina..She was sick for a looong time with bone cancer. So it is a blessing that she is in heaven and not suffering anymore. She was best friends with my grandmother so they both will have the best Christmas ever and be reunited together form Chistmas. She lived in Quebec. But had family all over Canada...

Her husband has decided to wait to have a service due to all of the weather problems and since the family is all over the country..He is going to have a memorial service for her in April. I guess she is still at the hospital today and she died at 2:30 yesterday due to the weather the funeral home he said can not get there to get her body. You guys are almost having worse weather than we are........

It is comforting to know that they are no longer in pain, and as you said she can have a pain free Christmas in Heaven. The weather is definately awful, I don't remember having this much snow in a very long time. That is funny about Hope, our Santa out front is holding an American and Canadian Flag and their fort in the back yard has a giant USA flag, their Dad is American. So she wouldn't think anything about it. She will be very excited when the letter arrives.
And it is STILL snowing!!

Kristin, I'm so sorry about your cousin, we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. The weather here is horrible, most of the roads were not cleaned so driving was very slow. We got close to one foot of snow since last night and it's still snowing. And the highways are just a mess here too. They kept saying on the news that if you don't really need to go out, don't!! wondering if there is going to be school tomorrow?? We went outside to clear the driveway a bit before we get too much and it was sooo cold with the windchill...wish I was in Florida lol...I'll be back later on after dinner to chat and post pictures of our snow day today!

Kristin, I'm sorry to hear about your cousin. You and yours are in our prayers.
Obviously you all are having worse weather than us. After our storm we got about eight inches of snow (with no ice!), and the sun is out today. Very bright out there. Its supposed to be in the 40's by Tuesday, so it will all be gone... I myself will not miss it. It's pretty to look at, but not go in...

Our HM concert is Tues., Jan. 15. We have a month to wait! It is something to look forward to tho!
