Good morning everyone!!! Just a quick drop in and hi before I head off to the schoolroom with my younger! (MATH, snuggled up in my bed! LOL!). We have to get SOME schoolin' done as thursday is the used curriculum sale, friday and saturday we have the Idaho Homeschool Convention, and we are ALL going this year! Sean to the kids convention, Kaj to the teen, and DH and I are hoping to divide and conquer the adult convention... Fun stuff!

Hi hope your friends were able to recover some of their things? it's such a big loss!!!!!! I hope they are not taking it too hard!!!!!

UPDATE- I just found out that my friend's BIL recovered her heirloom wedding ring!! She had taken it off to wash dishes and it was in a dish near the sink. Her BIL found it wedged between concrete blocks in a retaining wall in the back yard - in perfect condition! It's the only thing she really was sad about.

It was the ring her husband's father gave to his wife; but he died when my friend's husband was just 15. So the ring meant a lot to everyone.

Luckily, her photos were all in storage at her sister's house as my friend's husband had taken a new job and they were in the process of looking for a new house. For some reason she had started packing things and those were at her sister's. She did find her computer and digital camera in the nearby pond and she doesn't know if she can retrieve anything. She had not printed any photos since OCt. 07.

Their little one still talks about the big wind but it feels like Christmas with all the toys and books she has been getting. Her mom is telling her that some of them are from the old house so she doesn't feel that all was lost.

They are an amazing couple and I know they will get through it.

(They found their bed in a neighbor's attic but it isn't salvageable. They basically have to start over.) Thanks for your good thoughts!

OMG!!!!! how amazing that they found a ring in all that mess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! unbealievable! so happy to hear it was found if it means so much to them!!!

Oh my gosh Mary....I am so glad she found her ring!!!!! Things like that are irreplaceble!!!!!! I will continue to include them in my prayers!!!!
