Morning all!

For the record, my fave blizzard is the Banana Cream Pie! I don't crave ice cream, but this is the one treat I go nuts for!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This weather has got to go, we had to turn the furnace on yesterday morning and this morning! I was freezing last night and had to throw another blanket on the bed! Enough!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dh was ticked at wiifit last night, because his trainer told him he didn't finish his push up excersise, and that's it's ok, it will get easier, but he said he did finish it LOL.

bright and sunny here, but it wont get warm enough....
I went to one store today in search of a Wii Fit and the girl told me they usually get shipments of stuff in on Wednesday so they might get a couple of them in today and to call back at noon when the stuff comes in!!!!!! She doesn't know how many they will get but she said usually they get at least 2 or 3!!!!!!! cross your fingers for me please!

Hey Guys.....how is everyone....though I would pop in and say hello and try to get a bit caught up with the thread.....good luck on finding the WII fit....I heard so many places are backordered.

Our son bought the Wii system and we all use it at home and we wanted to buy the Wii fit but DS just told us he is moving out in June and taking the Wii with him!!! So, no need to buy the Wii fit now!!! LOL!!! The first of my baby birds to leave the nest...sad and excited at the same time !!!!

Anyway...some excitement in the town I work in....they are filming a scene from a movie down the street today....the movie is called Julie and Julia about the life of Julia Child and the woman who vowed to make everyone of her recipes from her French cookbook......and......Meryl Streep is on set today!! how cool....not that I will be able to get down and watch but still cool she is right down the street from where I work (Nyack, NY).

On another note.....have been having pain in my arm for months plus very limited range of motion and movement in that arm......finally got it checked out....seems I have frozen shoulder syndrome or shoulder something capsulitis???? Doc says it happens to middle aged women and physical therapy should help but now I have to start going for therapy 2 or 3 times a week.....

Oh well....as long as it gets better before the cruise!!!

Back to work...have a good day everybody......anyone catch the thread about meets threads being too personal over on the main board.....getting a bit heated!!!

My husband had that!!! And he DID go to therapy 2-3 times a week for a while, then once a week, now DONE. In his case it happened because he slept funny (with his arm under his head)... the PT gave him a strap that he uses to keep his arm down and his arm stopped hurting after a few weeks of sleeping properly combined with the therapy.

Hope you can get it figured out...

Ok, wasn't sure if the Blizzard discussion would still be going on once I got through the last 10 pages, but my favorite is French Silk. Some earlier referred to DQ as ice cream. Technically, isn't it custard? I forget.

So, we left Duluth this morning, thinking it would storm there later, it was 45 and rainy, yuck! We drive home, 2 1/2 hours, of course it stops raining about 45 minutes outside of Duluth. We get home, not raining here, not 30 minutes after we pull in, we turn on the TV and hear we have a tornado warning! So, we watch the radar for awhile, and when the hail larger than golfballs start dropping my son freaks until we go in the basement. The splash on the pond from hail that large is amazingly huge! For awhile it looked like the pond was boiling. We were very tense, since in 2005 we sustained $17000 worth of damage to our house from a hailstorm. This time it wasn't really blowing though. So, it's done, we go outside, no damage to note, thank goodness!!!
Not 30 minutes later, her comes round 2! This time they are not as large, but it's blowing. And the rain, holy cow, must have rained 3 inches in about 20 minutes. Just some dents on the metal trim of the house (that we replaced last time). Nothing major but if we fix it (which DH will probably have to do cuz he won't like the dents) it will cost a fair penny I'm sure.
After the storm rolled through here it dropped a few tornados and has now killed a 2 year old and 20 people are missing in another suburb about an hour from here. Thank god none of that happened here!!!!

So, there you have my holiday weekend wrap up LOL.

Hello to everyone! I have not had the time to get caught up but noticed Erika's post about the weather in Minn. over the weekend.

Our weekend at the lake was wonderful but we returned to the cities to terrible news. Our dear friend, her husband and 2 1/2 year old daughter lost everything in the tornado in Hugo (an hour from Erika). They made it to the basement and clung to the hot water heater. Basically their two-story house is gone. Their little girl had just gotten up from a nap and all she had on was a pull-up. They've lost everything - even my friend's heirloom wedding ring which was in a dish by the kitchen sink. It is just devastating.

We've been sending books and toys for the little one and people have been wonderful to this family. Keep them and all the other families who have lost so much in your prayers.

On a lighter note, prom was a blast and thanks to Candy, the tuxedo strawberries were a huge hit. I'll post pictures when I get to them.

We are planning to head up to the tornado area Saturday to help with clean-up. I'm still shaken by the news..
