Hi everyone!
I just popped in to see what's going on and we are on another chapter!

Kristin- I was looking for points for my brother and his wife and kids. I checked on the Rent/Trade board and nothing was available for their dates at the resorts they wanted so they are going to use AAA and hope for AP rates in October.

My Wii Fit is supposed to arrive today from AMazon. They messed up delivery and it wasn't going to arrive until Friday. They caught their error and are shipping a new one so I will have it today. Should be interesting!

Candy- I'm thinking about attempting the tuxedo strawberries for the prom party this weekend. Any tips?

It's beautiful day in Minn. and I'm going to plant flowers today. Hope it's safe. I have a ton of rhubarb but we are trying to eat healthy so I don't think pie and crisps are on the plan.;)

Hope you all have a great day!:cool2:

Hey,

Well let me know if they decide that they wants points. My borhter has some at AKV and I will have some at SSR!!!!!!!!!!

Kristin-They had their hearts set on YC/BC so were hoping to rent for BCV but someone on the boards checked and said nothing was available. Their dates are Oct. 15-21. Do you know anything different?

I could always call and see if by some slim chance it is open now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll look to see how many points it would take!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know they would want a studio for at least 3 nights starting Oct.15. If you would want to check, that would be great!

good morning everyone!!!!!
had to go shopping today for a suitcase for the boys to share. Found one at a great price!!!!! regular price was $199 and I got it for $60!!!!!!! can you believe that!!!! LOL so anyway it's very lightweight and the perfect size for the boys to share. So now we're all set:banana:
It's so cold here today, can't wait for the weekend, it's suppose to be alot warmer than today!

Good morning all...Randy here.

Got a question for all you DVC owners. Which is the better way to go for a 5-7 day trip to WDW in the summer '09...rent DVC points or go through Interval International and stay at a Disney resort or something close by. "Getaway" weeks at a Disney property are probably tough to get through Int Int, but we could probably "exchange" time up to two years ahead. Can you guys see any advantage either way? Thanks

When you dip the strawberries in white chocolate, just dip half of it, then wait until the white choc is hard before you dip it in chocolate. Also, I used a plastic disposable pastry bag and cut a very small hole at the bottom for the buttons and ties and I used the melted choc for that too. When I made the ties,I just made 2 triangles and had them touch on the corner! I hope this helps!!!!
Good luck!!!!
Please post some pics!!!!!

Did you use semi-sweet chocolate chips and white almond bark? Mix anything with it? I looked back at the pictures you posted and they look so professional! I think the kids would love them - I just need to find time to do them. I suppose you have to do them the day you plan to serve them otherwise the strawbs will run?

Thanks....they were a big hit with the kids!!!!!

I used the Wilton melting white and milk chocolate from Michael's
Once you get started they really don't take too long because you have to work quickly before the choc starts to cool. Once the choc cools, you have to microwave it for a very short time to heat it up again, but don't over heat it because the choc won't be easy to work with!!
What I did was try a few the day before to test things out!
You are right, you have to do them the day of because the strawberries will not be as nice the next day......they are still edible and they still look good, just not as nice as the first day!!!

Food for thought....... funny how this thread always goes to food, huh???
Anyway, I talked to my t-shirt guy today and this is how it works.
Cost depends on what we want. We are limited to 6 colors. They can be single or double sided. Also depends on the color of the shirt and how many of what size shirts we get. For example, they did 30, 5 color, single sided, shirts for a local elementary school, and they were around $12 each. Keep in mind, they are small shirts. So we have some decisions to make. We must decide on artwork, and then make a 5 or 6 color version of it and if we want 1 side or 2. Then we must know how many of what size shirts we want. Only then can we get a firm price for the shirts. So do you think we should do a mass email to get this info out, or post it on the website and see what happens??
Speaking of food, I'm off to cook catfish for our church picnic tonight!! See ya later!!

I say we do mass email that way we know everyone will get it faster and also on the website too I guess. What design are we going to use? the parrot on the beach? I like that one. Also I think the shirts would look good on just the one side? like on the pocket? And I think just a white t-shirt would appeal to everyone, because at first I was going to say light pink:rolleyes1 and I don't think too many people like wearing pink!!!!
We would only be ordering 2 adult size, none for the boys!

off to go make dinner, I will be back!!!!!!!! pirate:

dinner is DONE!!!!! and it was so yummy! and now I'm stuffed LOL

HI all.

Just got the kids back from an after school playdate.

Allen, Thanks for the information on the t-shirts. Should we send out a mass email and list it on the website with a deadline tooo??????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone!

Connor and Colton have been playing the WiiFit nonstop since 330! They did stop to eat, but that took all of what, 10 mins?? I think we'll get our monies worth out of it! I didn't pre-order it, but decided to just check at Kmart and they had it! Of course, Walmart just opened about a month ago, so KMart is hurting. It was my understanding that if they don't meet a quota by the end of 2 months, they will close.

I sent an email to my friend, but I have never heard back from him. I can try and send him a PM on the truck site. Maybe he never uses that email? I dunno....

Randy, we too, are part of II and have never been able to trade into Disney. Maybe we just pick the wrong dates, but no matter when we have looked, there is nothing to trade to. I think Disney property is just to popular that it doesn't get traded or if it does, it goes quickly! I hope you get it though! Good Luck!

okay, table tilt is FUN!!!! I rocked at that! Well, compared to the kids anyway! LOL I also liked the Hula Hoop! that was fun! I can really see us getting alot of use out of this! Haven't tried any of the 'trainer" things...like the yoga. Connor likes the running....he's jogging along and says, "HI Chuck" "Hi Mario" too fun!!

Hello all!!!!!!
It is very windy out here today!!!!! The wind blew so hard earlier, I thought we were having a small earthquake because it shook the windows a little!!! That's the first thing we think about here in earthquake country when the house makes any noise!!! LOL
Randy is off and we had a nice time just hanging out with each other!!!! We went out to breakfast and then went shopping and bought some shirts and tops for summer and the cruise!!!!!
I hope everyone had a great day!!!!!!!

Evening kiddies

Another work day is done and DH was nice enough that we went out to supper instead of coming home and cooking. He's such a sweet boy.

Not much new here.

About the tshirts, I say we do the mass email and sned it with possible ideas. I don't know how often y'all check the website but i tend not to check in very often there.

And as for the parrot hats, I saw them in my Dollar Tree yesterday. I can pick some up if ppl want to. Or we could mass order them. There are order sheets in the store.

So whatever anybody wants to do about that is fine

And once again I'm left out of the Wii loop. No Wii therefore no Wii Fit. they sold out pretty quick in my store, though I did see 1 woman return 2 of them 3 hrs after she bought them:confused3

I just happened to stop in Walmart today when we picked the van up after having it serviced, and as I was on my own, I went to electronics to ask, and they actually happened to have a Wii in stock! So I picked it up, and now am contemplating putting it on a shelf and hiding it till Christmas...

it would be an awesome Christmas gift for the family, don't you think? And over the next few months could pick up accesories/games so everyone could have something fun under the tree besides the Wii for all?

or am I nuts and should come up with another reason to pull it out sooner...

LOL!

:)

Like getting myself the Wiifit to help with the slimming down prior to the CRUISE!

Candy

Sounds like you had a nice day. Rich has off on Monday but i don't. I will be making time and a half though which'll be nice. Rich has so much vacation time to use its very scary.

Speaking of buying clothes for the trip....
What are you ladies planning to wear for Formal night? Just how many women on the cruise actually wear long gowns that night?

I have 2 of them, But Rich has no tux and we're not renting him 1 for the cruise. Speaking of Rich I want to get him a nice suit since he doesn't have 1 About how much do suits cost these days. We'll likely be getting it from Men's Wearhouse.
