Hey Michele, I have a funny for you..... I somehow got it in my head that you were in Virginia instead of West Virginia. There is a Hurricane Virginia, that is about 2 hours from Gatlinburg TN. I was going to suggest a quick get together there and the I figured out wrong state, and you are actually 6 hours from G-burg...Oh well...

Prices go up but about 2 weeks before flights is when the prices really drop. That's just the chance you have to be willing to take. Nowadays the fear is how much fuel surcharge is going to be added as well as the cost of bringing your luggage. You have to remember that all the weight has to be carried by the aircraft, it's not like a car where once you are up to speed you ease up on the pedal. The more the plane weighs, the more fuel it uses.

hey Allen......Friday morning we fly out of Detoit at 8 and get into Orlando at 10:30AM we're flying with AirTran direct flight!!!

Allen, that is too funny! We have been to G'burg twice. Once with the truck club and once we brought Steve's folks with us. We stayed at The Westgate Resorts Smokie Mountains. It was really nice!! We had talked about going back this summer, but we are headed to Myrtle in June and it looks like Hilton Head in December.

We are trying to decide if we are going to Margaritaville and have lunch before we got to the port, or not.... I want to go, but there are bunches of people from here flying in with us, and we are thinking it would be less expensive if we hired a bus to take us to the port. To go to Margaritaville, we would have to rent a car...... decisions, decisions....

Hey if there are enough people a bus doesn't seem to bad. Once we rent the car and add insurance, etc and 2 car seats, we were close to a hundred dollars anyways. I'd be into going straight to the port and deciding from there. We still want to go to WalMart and a few places so we can get that all out of the way and relax by the pool.

I don't remember numbers, but we figured we have about a third of the aircraft, a 737, booked, around 40 people.
