Good Morning Fellow Pirates!

Heidi, thanks for the advice on waiting in a dr's office. I guess my biggest complaint is, TELL me what's going on!! If they know that the Dr is going to be with a patient for longer then is scheduled, then just say, "Michele, I'm sorry, but Dr So-So is still with a patient and there's been some issues, so he's going to be about 30 mins behind today." Okay, fine, now I know what is going on and I can stop looking at my watch and questioning his staff's ability to properly schedule his patients! Okay, I'll step off my pedastal now.....I guess it's just a pet peeve of mine. I am one of those people that is ALWAYS early to something..I'm of the....if your on time your late...way of thinking. So when I show up, and the Doc is more then 15 mins behind, that just kills me!

I am the same way with appointments.. I am always at least a few minutes early too. LOL! I guess it really is the staff at fault, not the doctor though... We actually have a system worked out now with our surgeon's office... I call before I leave home so I know if he is running on time or not! It works very nicely, as I don't usually have to wait as long as those who don't call.

They have a set up now that IS kind of nice, they have a staff member go around and let each family know how he is doing, and offer to get them a cup of coffee, water, etc..it is a nice little touch anyway.

Oh it would be WONDERFUL if we could all live on the same street! Imagine a cul-de-sac where we could all sit in our lawn chairs, drinking our daiquiri's (or Konk Coolers!) watching the kids ride thier bikes up and down the street! DH's are at the grill fixing dinner and there's not a care in the world!

The main problem with that senerio is....we would ALWAYS be outside talking and not in the house getting our chores done! LOL

Heidi, what your doctor is now doing...letting the families know what his status is, is EXACTLY what I am talking about! Don't leave me sitting in the exam room behind a closed door clueless! I really thought that we might have been forgotten! I am sure it has happened!

Theh lawn is cut, dinner is cleaned up, the dogs are fed, the laundry started, me in my jammies, a candle is lit, a cup of tea in my hands and the Tribe game on tv. Is THIS what relaxing is?? LOL
