GOOD MORNING PIRATES!!!

We ended up at the BBQ from 5pm to 1230!!! Oh my!! It was a mild party, so the boys were not exposed to too much. Alot of drinking and a lot of foul language, but not too bad. Steve was finally getting sore and we left. I REALLY didn't think we'd be out that long! Poor dogs had thier legs crossed and thier tummies were rumbling! They didn't even get to eat before we left! Bad Mommy.....

Allen, that story about the TA is amazing! Even if you paid with a card, you are just giving them the numbers, so they could just put that into your file and not charge the card until a later date as well. The whole thing STINKS! I would not use them either!

Kristin, your new addition is BEAUTIFUL!! Some day, I too, will have something very similar!! Sorry the girls didn't want to go to dinner and shopping! Sounds like the perfect day to me!

Sandra, your story is too funny!! I wouldn't have let Steve plant anything either!

Don't get into NASCAR, so I guess I can't sympathize with you.

We are going to venture to Walmart in a bit. Steve says he can push the cart for me.

I might cut grass....... again.......

We are also thinking about going to Best Buy tonight. They are having a Reward Zone Members Only sale. They have a Toshiba Laptop with a Zune in a package at a price of $500. He has done some research, and it's a good deal, just haven't made that final, Okay, let's go get it phase.

Well, I've convinced Hope to come along and that it will be a fun "Adventure" so if the rain stops we are going to let the kids run on the beach for a bit too...!!!!!!!!

Sunshine is out here so it looks to be a nice day. Not sure what's up for the rest of our day but I'll probably be in and out of the thread today. My trip up to Richmond was nice, and so was the conference. Turns out to have been a good thing not to stay for the race otherwise I might be under arrest for murder.

But I'm good now and went to church like the good little girl that i am

Kristin, your addition is beautiful! I want it! How nice for your family. I would be in it all the time.

Candy, your husband is a police officer? Mine too! Do they rotate shifts or is he on a fixed shift? My hubby works 4/10's. He is the Captain of the local police department and works 7am to 5pm Tuesday thur Friday. He did work nights (rotated when we first got married, then chose it for his fixed shift whne he became sgt. before he got promoted to capt.).

It's so nice outside today after all the rain we got yesterday. It's a bit chilly outside, but I'll take that for the blue skys and sun.

Well, gonna go. Have to go to the craft store to complete my daughter's Bald Eagle report. We have to make a project for her report due Wed. FUN FUN FUN!! Her report is due on her 9th birthday! What a birthday present!

Julie, wow....captain and a set schedule!! I bet that's nice!!!
Randy is a sgt, but because the police department is so big, he can get bumped off a watch after 6 months, but he can request a change of watch after 3 months. He works 3/12's, he actually is okay with this schedule until the end of summer because he'd rather not deal with the heat during the day.
I think he's is more okay with this shift than I am!!

Evening everyone! I spent the day picking out my own Mothers Day gift. Usually I saw I want nothing, but this time I said I wanted a Digital Picture Frame. I think dh didn't want to get one I didn't like, so he had me go pick one out LOL. Of course since I was doing that, I didn't do any of my files, so now I have to work and don't have time to load it up.

Steve finally mowed our grass for the first time, more just to trim it before he dethatched it. He pulled out 9 lawn bags of dead grass!!!! He's a little tired, our yard is quite large and it took him a few hours.

I don't think I could stay awake for 3 12's, but it would be nice to have 5 days off.

It's been a few days since I've been on the DIS, for our lives have been crazy. Unforetunately Michelle's grand mother passed away on Tuesday. She was 94 and lived on her own up until 2 years ago.

I also headed up to the cottage for a few days to continue on our bathroom construction. It was horrible yesterday trying to work with the pouring rain. We wanted to have a function bathroom before we start taking the baby up.

Hope you all are well. You've certainly been busy postingnaway. It took me awhile to catch up.

Michele, so glad to hear everything went well with Steve's surgery and hope he has a speedy recovery.
Kristin, great updated pics. I love what you have done. Enjoy every square inch of it.

Evening everyone!

Did the walmart shopping, unloaded that, then headed to IHOP for dinner and then stood in line at Best Buy to get the deal!! we got a toshiba laptop, nothing fancy, but now Steve and I can sit at the table together and surf! Sound like someone ELSE we know? Part of the deal was a free 4 gig Zune MP3 Player. We also got 3 bottles of water, a cherry coke and 2 coupons for appetizers at Logan's Steakhouse! Oh, and a mini tripod and a package of 4x6 paper and a mini flashlight too! LOL All for the mear cost of $500!!! we stood in line for about an hour and a half, but like the boys said, we've stood in line at Disney longer then that! LOL
So, now Steve is playing with the new laptop and I am going to hook up the Zune and see what it can do! I'll be floating back and forth!

Thank goodness that's only once a year. He can mow the whole thing in 25 minutes, so that's not so bad.

I put a few pics on the frame, it is very cool.
