We got granite a few years ago for the kitchen counter and I LOVE IT!!! I put hot pots/pans right from the oven/stove right on it and it holds up great.....very durable.

We are having our entire downstairs wood floors (except the living room which has carptet) sanded, stained and refinished......have to move everything out and into the living room....plus be out of the house for the day....should be fun!!

UGH!!! I can relate to that.. We had hardwood put down in our bedroom, upstairs hallway, and now in the family room. They start tomorrow on that one!!!!!!!!!!

Nancy,
I'll be around tomorrow if your bored!!!!!!!!!!

We also got granite a few years ago and absolutely love it!!!!!

I know exactly what you are going through!!!!!
Make sure you air out everything!!!!
They use this machine that strips the floor down so quickly......the dust wasn't really too bad for us, they did our livingroom, diningroom, hallway, and guest bedroom!! The guy who did it was really good at sealing off the rest of the house so that dust wouldn't get everywhere, he had plastic taped in all of the doorways leading to the rest of the house. When he finished the sanding, he left for the day to return the next day to start staining, before he left he ask us if we wanted the plastic taken down, we said yes thinking the worst was over........boy, were we wrong!!!!
The smell from the stain was unbearable!!!! It was so strong that all of the clothes I washed during that time smelled like they were burned when I took them out of the dryer....we thought the dryer was broken....It turned out to be the smell of whatever they used that made the clothes smell like that!!!
It took days to get the, fumes out of my house!!!
But I love the finished product...it is beautiful!!!

Morning all! Good thing I picked up the yard yesterday, we are going to lose it again today. We have a "heavy snow warning" (never heard that one before). Lovely spring we are having. The best part is it's the baseball home opener!!! And in 2 years they won't be playing in the metrodome, they'll be playing in the new open air stadium they whined for. Can't wait for the first time it's 35, windy and heavy snow falling during a game to see how much they like it then! It should be great fun for driving to work, back home, to dance class and back in the snow.

Everyone else having nice weather today??

I have laundry that needs folding too, if anyone is volunteering?!?!

Morning Everyone! :surfweb:

Well I know that it has been awhile! Last week was our spring break so we were busy with the kids:yay: Then my daughter has ha band contest in several different locations that take all day. Then amoung all of that my dad was involved in a shooting Easter sunday and he has been shot five times!!!! :worship:

So we have been back and forth to the hospital and keeping up with the kids have made me exhausted!! I have been sleeping alot!!!

So how is everyone else?

I have laundry myself to do. Sorry to hear about our cold weather, we have ben fighting tornados for the past few days last a little closer to home than I would like.

Steve! I am so sorry to hear about your dad! I will pray for him a quick and uneventful recovery! By the way you wrote that, I am assuming he is an officer?

I too, have a ton of wash to catch up on from being off all week. I focused so much on carnival and entertaining the boys, that we really didn't do anything to keep our home caught up! Tonight, Connor has scouts, so I'll do wash and cleanup a bit then.

Colton has a band competition tomorrow. Unfortunatly, with the 3 kids I watch, I am not going to take them to see it. There's always next year!

we are not getting snow, but rain....and lots of it! My yard looks like a swimming pool! It's aweful!

Well, Diego is almost over, so I better check on the kids! That IS what I get paid to do, not be here with you all, although, I'd rather!!!

OH YEAH!! And Cleveland's Home Opener is tonight too! I'll be watching!!!

GO TRIBE!!
